This was a really excellent video. As good as anything from anywhere else around the world. A bicycle or e-bike is a great option for urban commuting. Just add some decent pannier bags, racks or baskets for luggage and always have some light rainwear or a bike poncho for those wet days. Good lights and mirrors are essential too in my opinion.

The irony of it all, there is no SEAI grant to help buy an electric motorcycle. Motorbikes get left out of any traffic management discussions by the NRA and Councils (going by media reports). But wins the "race"

There is a Red Light @ 4:46 all traffic has stopped but the cyclist continued on through the junction?

E-bikes are the cheapest, greenest and happiest mode of transport. I know because I own one. Lauren is the real winner. Way to go girl.

I have to say that was a fascinating watch for tho' I live in the north I know some of those areas of Dublin fairly well. For me if I lived in Dublin the only way I'd get around it would be on the bike ie Lauren's method of getting there. I've said it for years that the bike whether electric or not is the only way to get around big cities providing you don't have anything large or bulky to carry. One question I have tho is why didn't Dave use the bus lanes as I know at least in the north here the bus lanes can be used by anyone on a motorbike.

For large or bulky there are a large variety of permanent or removable panniers plus various racks and baskets for cargo. And add a trailer without spending thousands on a Cargo bike for those weekly shopping trips. I've pulled over 70kg on a trailer with moderate hills for over 6km without too much trouble and carried a full sized lawnmower. No e, just me! And I'm mid fifties and not particularly fit.

I notice Lauren broke a Red light. Not exactly a fair comparison if you allow breaking laws. Also noticed how close she came to a pedestrian. Not exactly what should be allowed. As a pedestrian most of the time with a few close runs, disgusted at her cycling behaviour.
