Rather shameful that they didnt get into talking about the movie, which is the whole reason why he is going on tv. It's actually a film that both Christians and non-Christians can enjoy. Very powerful message of Christ-like love for others.

Amazing how NBC did not bring up the the elephant in the room. Jesus, Pastor Chuck Smith, and Jesus Revival. Recently, on other media outlets, when talking about the experience of making this movie, Kelsey Grammer breaks down emotionally, sobbing, and I Know he is sincerely moved, but NBC did not want any of it. Shame on the network for a form of censorship that removes the potential Blessings that comes from sincere emotion brought on by God's Supernatural Power.

Seems like they thought it would be safer to lead off with the Frasier “revival.” I had to laugh at that.
I loved Frasier and if this keeps him in the spotlight, then hopefully he will be a testimony to those he can influence.

@@HisRichBlessings One outstanding church that was sanctioned by Pastor Chuck Smith is Calvary Chapel Chino Hills, CA. The pastor there is Jack Hibbs and he was encouraged by Smith to start another church in Chino Hills way back in the late 1980's or early 1990's. Hibbs is a wonderful pastor.
Also Pastor Greg Laurie of Harvest Christian Fellowship in Riverside, CA is the first offshoot church of Chuck Smith's Jesus Movement in the early 1970's. This film, Jesus Revolution, is based on Laurie's autobiography.
The Calvary chapel vineyard movement is probably one of the best things I've ever come across. When God moves, it's quite obvious
It would have been nice to hear more about the movie. We need some good revivals to help bring people back to Jesus. I hope this movie will help to do that.

They didn't want to explore his new movie. Chuck Smith was a gifted teacher who inspired a new generation of believers in Jesus Christ. My pastor, Joe Focht, was part of that movement and still teaches at Calvary Chapel Philadelphia.
Talking about Jesus can make people squirm in their seats. Glad to see the movie is getting some promotion.
I’m happy Kelsey was a part of this movie. He brings that familiar face and he’s a great actor. Love seeing more Christian faith movies and shows coming out!

Greg Laurie opens about Lonnie. Just watched his open view of how God uses broken, imperfect people. I will see the Jesus Revolution in Plano, TX next week. Serving God in Mexico, and I am thrilled about Jesus being the center of attention. The Chosen is awesome.

My favourite show and my favourite character.
Cannot wait for the Fraiser reboot, he is so perfect. Continuously binge watching the existing 11 seasons is a real joy and if the reboot is even half as good as the original my life will be complete.

@@lilpoohbear653, she did look reluctant to mention it; and Hoda Kotb has repeatedly demonstrated that she is not a Christian (She, e.g., lived with and never married her children’s father). It’s sad that, even though her father is not perfect, Jenna Bush Hager seems to not have adopted the faith of her father.
I was not saved in calvalry church but in a Nazarene church. However I was invited to aurora calvalry church and given a pastor chuck Smith bible. I was accepted I am mexican and didn't know Americans could be kind and none racist towards me and my addiction. In the end they showed me how to pray as every Sunday 7 to 10 am I would listen to the old guys pray 🙏 and use the bible verse. At first I doubt it much and left for a year. I moved to NJ for a job and one day listening to chuck Smith I was convinced that yes Jesus was God and the bible was real. Oh my life has been even more beautiful and amazing that it was before. Yet we do wait for blessed hope in this last days. May this movie be the last revival we need before the rapture.
May all denominations stop hating on each other and respect and love each other.
For years I hated the Catholic church for what has done. Wars pedophilia. But that is not what my grammas who died Catholic were about.

How sad that they don’t want to speak too much about this new movie, hardly anything was mentioned. I understand why Kathie Lee left this show. She’s always looking forward to talking about Jesus and the Gospel which is something that the media, Hollywood hates to hear. There is such a negativity towards christians, God and towards people who are not liberal. Such a terrible time we live in but also a historical and marvelous one because each day we are getting closer to the Coming of our Lord Jesus for his bride (the church). This is the best time to proclaim the Word of God and to share the Good News of Jesus Christ to all humanity who needs a Saviour. We are living the last days. The time is now to come to Him and repent from our sins:
Whoever conceals their sins does not prosper, but the one who confesses and renounces them finds mercy (Proverbs 28:13).
If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness (John 1:9).
Jesus said, “I am the truth, the way, and the life; no one comes to the Father, but through Me” (John 14:6). “For unless you believe that I am He, you shall die in your sins” (John 8:24). The Apostle Peter echoed these words when he said, “Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men whereby we must be saved” (Acts 4:12).
Of course when the mainsream covers a Christian movie they come up with as many things as possible to ask the star about other than what the movies actually about LOL

saw it yesterday. A very good movie that just worked as a movie. I have no idea what critics are talking about. It was well acted with characters that were engaging. executed well with scenes. I thought it was very good. Love the music. Timing was mentioned in chat. Yeah, that helps. One of the best faith films I've seen . Goes on a short list.

The past Awakenings are what has made America beautiful.. Case in point: The fact that we have no idea who Charles and Lydia Finney are is an example of "selective" education. Charles was a minister in the mid 1800's who preached brotherly love and social activism, particularly the abolition of slavery... Lydia started a movement to rescue, educate, and rehabilitate prostitutes. She also started the Ohio Anti-slavery Society. The culmination of their ministries was the 2nd Great Awakening, which affected the hearts and attitudes of northerners to such a degree that they rose up enmass against slavery. This was soon followed in 1860 by the Civil War, which ended slavery in America and signaled to the world that the institution was (and still is) a crime against humanity. May this current Awakening lead us to become more like Jesus

Atleast they spoke the name of Jesus, other news clips and interviewers I seen won’t even udder the name or about the movie they just wanna know about the “ person” Kelsey plays, they didn’t even wanna talk about him being a pastor even…or even the THEME the reason for the movie! No matter what God will use this for His glory so let’s pray about it!

Seriously spent most of the time talking about everything but the Chuck Smith movie. If the headlines say you are going to talk about it and you say at the beginning of the segment you are going to talk about it, talk about it.
One of my favorite scenes of the movie is shown at 3:26 with Chuck responding to the Spirit of the hippies singing joyously in his home.
The original Cheers location in Boston is still open. The second location in Boston closed.

yea. how disappointing when the conversations would delve into the spiritual aspects the conversation always changed....how liberal they are so afraid to go there...Well folks God is real and giving yourself over to God is so rewarding...if you havent yet I pray you will ...it truly changes your life for the good.
I hope and pray this movie minister's to those in the LGBTQ+ who are called by the Father to His beloved Son Jesus Christ. I also hope and pray this movie can heal the rift and split of Calvary Chapel Association and Calvary Chapel Global Network. Special prayers for Brian Brodersen as well as the LDS church to recognize the "Authentic Jesus".

Maybe, just maybe Hollywood is getting it....... resent reboot of night court, now Frasier, shows without political agenda, just fun, feel good sitcom comedy.

Really disappointed that so little coverage of the movie was discussed. Have watched the Today Show all my life and I become more and more terribly disappointed with it. No coverage at all that I have seen on the Asbury revival and the other revivals going on around our country.

I miss the Jesus Movement
I’m wondering how good the Fraser reboot will be. Kelsey’s character was the straight man for all the rest. Not sure how funny it will be without Martin, Niles, and Daphne. I’ll give it a chance, just right now I don’t hold out a lot of hope.
So sorry to learn that Niles will only have a rare appearance at best in the new series. I do at least hope Roz will!

The producers or the guys upstairs must have been scared to really have a conversation about the film... this title seems a little misleading. Glad they did the film but honestly this segment is a little disappointing. They hardly talked about the film and talked about everything else.
