4:00 This broad clearly can’t tell the difference between an F1 car and an Indycar. But it’s not like she’s the only one who doesn’t know. Even today, most open-wheel cars look identical. Nevertheless, she can move off the continent for all I care.
7:00 I would love to have a racetrack in my backyard. If there’s a job opening there, I’d willingly look into it.
7:40 And everyday traffic idling at a stoplight doesn’t cause air pollution? I also have asthma, and live in an area with plenty of stoplights, some mid-block. A few extra shuttle buses isn’t going to make it THAT much worse. Seriously.
8:40 NASCAR has been on an upswing of late, so I really question how current his information is.
12:30 Exactly. It’s the same story with my home track, Waterford Hills, a 1.5-mile road course that hosts club level racing and track days in Clarkston, Michigan. It was also built long before the subdivisions sprang up nearby. Not to mention that there’s also a shooting range on the grounds of the track, but at least it doesn’t face the subdivision that sits off the backstretch. Where, by the way, a sound-wall sits. I would tell anyone who lives there the same thing that I would say to these idiots from earlier. If you don’t want to deal with the noise…MOVE!!
12:50 Excellent point. I used to play soccer in my hometown’s youth soccer league in the 90s, and today I find the sport to be very boring. What’s so exciting about 22 jocks chasing after a ball ⚽️?

Back in the mid 90s my father lived in a trailer near Daytona. He would sit outside his trailer and you could hear the announcer from the track when the races would go down. My guy had a front row seat to the race and he loved every second of it. If you choose to live that close to the track that’s absolutely on you and maybe you should consider moving. The fact that it’s even a discussion is absolutely hilarious

Nascar fans get another short track that is different from the 3 we already have, and Nascar gets something new, a renovated Fairgrounds could be the Camden Years of racetracks were they become downtown centerpieces. Therefore so hopefully they get this done, I'm confident in SMI that it'll happen but if they don't it'll be a gutpunch to the sport we all care deeply about and want a bright future for it.

This is why there should be a bigger push behind North Wilkesboro. The locals ACTUALLY WANT the track to come back. This is the biggest problem trying to bring racing to a big metropolitan area, especially one on the rise like Nashville. There's a reason most tracks are 30 minutes or more away from the actual city they're racing in.
While I don't agree with these Karens and believe like the rest of the fanbase that if you're the idiot who moved next to a race track, you should have to deal with the reperecussions, you have to know this will be a problem. Sure, the current elected officials may say yes to bringing back the fairgrounds, but what happens when you piss off the people who elect you? Your ass is getting canned next election period and the next guy or woman in charge will likely shut it down again after SMI and the city spend millions on the place.
But nah, let's not go to a lost cause in the middle of nowhere.
