Almost went with the RGCube but saw the RG556 on sale, plus the nice wider, OLED screen, bought it and arrived on 6/29, set it up to my liking and I’m hooked. Perhaps I’ll upgrade to a PC handheld sometime down the road. Forgotten my love for some good handheld gaming, from android, emulation to cloud services like Remote play and Gamepass. Sure I have a Switch but I played pretty much all that I wanted to play.
Glad you're enjoying it. I have only been able to run emulation on my laptop but it opened a whole world of games for me as i never eally played Dreamcast, N64 or playstation 2 games back in the day, When i set up emudeck on my laptop i discovered all of these and really enjoy playing them. Still got a few to go. Haven't played Chrono trigger as yet, i regularly see someone mentioning it, also want to try and get PS3 emulation going as i can only imagine how cool that must be. Looking forward to the day i can get a 556 aswell, gonna be sweet. Thanks for watching!
I prefer playing pico-8 of anything related to it but I also love the ablity to play gamecube and wii pretty easily along with PS2 so overall I think the RG Cube is good for me.
I got the Cube i like it a lot mostly the size and build quality. Ihave a Powkiddy X28 but it feels cheap compared to the Cube. The one thing i dont like the most on the Cube is no Hulu support.
The RG556 had been around since January. I would hardly call "that quite a while" as you introduced it. I don't actually have a RG556 but I do own the Retroid Pocket 4 Pro and the RG Cube and given that all three handhelds have been released in the same calendar year, they are very new systems.
Hi there, you're right about that. I guess the amount of handhelds that have released this year kind of just made the 556 feel like a previous generation model to me, which it is not. Thanks for pointing it out.
Hi There, the Odin 2 is currently the best bang for your buck for Emulation on the systems you mentioned above but do note it costs roughly $130-$150 dollars more depeding on where you buy your 556 or Cube. It is also an Android based handheld whereas the 556 and the Cube are linux Based. You can check out my overview on the Odin 2 at this link if you want more detail: ruclips.net/video/bBDaNTcNoV8/видео.html. Hope that helps and thanks for whatching.
Awesome, let me know what your expereince is when you get it. Personally though i think i would prefer the widescreen format for PS2 and Gamecube games. Thanks for watching btw.
The oled on the 556 has captured my attention aswell, games just look awesome on it and that's just from what i saw online, thinking it must look even better in person. Thanks for watching

@@TheTechUpdate-ui1fh but also since the RG556 and the RG Cube are like normal phones then roblox is kinda playable.
@@SansINess53 Nice, didn't think of that. I better not tell my son, if he hears that i won't hear the end of it till i buy him one.
@@TheTechUpdate-ui1fh 3: haha

It does look like a real premium device, sad to hear about Hulu though. Thanks for watching
Another great comparison! 👍👍
😁Glad you liked it. Thanks for watching.
@@TheTechUpdate-ui1fh You're welcome. Thanks for making it.
Both seem really cool... But im leaning toward the 556 for a larger screen... I play alot of fighting games and Shmups...
I like the Rg556 a lot but i must admit that i am torn between these 2. The more portable nature of the 556 is just so tempting. Thanks for watching.

@@TheTechUpdate-ui1fh Mind you, given the volume of handhelds these clowns pump out - the Chinese manufacturers may feel differently.
compare with other machine RG Cube, RG556. which one is best to play the follow PS2, wii, NGC, NS emulator is a stable performance?

Both. Have 556 and rp4p and ordered trg cube
Lol agreed, that is surely the best way to go. Hope you enjoy the Cube. thanks for watching.
I Choose RG556 It Has Less Lagging For PS2 Or Nintendo Gamecube Best Handheld Ever On Aliexpress Or Amazon
Awesome, I would love to own a 556. Thanks for watching 😁👍
I like the RG Cube it has a more square shaped screen which is better for gamecube and ps2. it's what I plan to play on it.

Rg556 is the better deal but the cube fits my needs better😁
Nice, it is definitely more portable. Thanks for watching!

Hail fellow African Retro Enthusiast. May your travels abroad be blessed and may you conquer that strange land.
That big OLED screen can house a 1:1 image - who cares about black bars?
