I visited Ayutthaya on my first visit to Thailand, it’s a stunning place and my fondest memory was pouring wax for candles outside one of the temples and buying a handmade hammock from a small outside the old city and I still have it 😂

You can be "such A sole man in the whole temple" in the very morning at the grand royal palace in Bangkok too 😊😉
Just go there in the early morning and sneak inside (there's always a gate or two left opened). I've always suggested my ASEAN friends to do so because we ASEAN all can pretend to be Thai by our similar look😂
But as for you who look really westerner, I don't think no one will really arrest you if someone found you at that time. They may walk you off at worst (from my experience)😉
