awesome video! I think for the jablocks you could jab 1, dash forward, jab 1 fsmash. This way you rack a little more % and bring them a little closer to the blastzone.
It's not that he can't kill, he can KO. It's that he has to go for more tech chases and his confirms are more risky. You miss Up B you're a glass cannon you're more likely to die at an earlier percent, for example.
@123 abc I don't play Brawler as a main character, more as a having-fun character so my answer will be let say, more objective. You can't talk about Brawler recovery without talking about his feint jump (zss style) which is THE recovery move of Brawler which gives him a lot more ways to mixup his reco.
@123 abc I would like to address you're comment point by point, keep in mind I am NOT a top player (or even a good one) nor am I an experienced brawler main, but I have done enough research to justify this reply. First of all, SAK is a good vertical recovery and yes, it lacks in horizontal recovery but that can be supplemented by BDK or feint jump. Secondly if you think SAK is trash for everything else than I highly recommend this video by Gaegal ruclips.net/video/X9AaalIbAFc/видео.html Now onto Helicopter Kick, yes it's a mediocre recovery with very little vertical distance, but this video(the one we're commentating on) clearly demonstrates that there are a multitude of true kill setups with Helicopter Kick. Furthermore, Rizeazu has clearly shown what helicopter can do, for an analysis on a set of his most recent tournament go here: ruclips.net/video/szty2Ryl5e4/видео.html Finally Thrupper(thrust uppercut), the uppercut is most certainly NOT Dr.Mario level of bad. It goes a further distance vertically and horizontally(not sure about horizontally, though) but again as this video has shown, there are a multitude of setups into thrupper that are true and kill earlyish. Also, sure these moves may be bad for recovery in a vacuum however the Up B of a character isn't their entire recovery. Mii brawler also has access to the wonderful move called feint jump, which greatly increases his recovery(not to mention BDK). Side Note: you asked for a Brawler player who could beat PGR ranked players, well recently Rizeazu won an offline major in japan, beating players such as Tea and Puisserman. Other side note: WhyDo is free to play whatever character he wants, he said in a video that he enjoys mii brawler because of the flexibility that comes with him. If you want his opinion of the ranking of his main, which he has labed and played for ours on end and knows like tha back of his hand, go here ruclips.net/video/4zapPBcfi3A/видео.html I am sure you will find that mii brawler is not considered, what was it you called him? A garbage character and a tricycle was it?Yeah
For a techchase you could use counter for a getup attack. It may not kill though but you could try to quickly follow it up if not ssnt to far with a frametrap
Do you think you could put in the description something along the lines of how to do the combo? Like write landing up air > helikick. I’d love to be able to practice at least some of these in training mode
If you mean double jump rising upair into thrupper, then its kinda difficult....I have see a japanese video about it as a kill confirm, but in about 30 minutes of testing, 4 people on the brawler discord could only replicate it ONCE (and he wasnt sure if he actually did it). If the opponents airdodge is stale and your timing is PERFECT, it might work, but otherwhise most likely not. But I´m definitly gonna look into it some more!
@@adrianlo931 If you could record it and link it here (or @ me on twitter) I would really appreciate it! Maybe this helps me getting the timing down :D I gotta add, we tested this on the discord before I had the training room mod. So all we had was the training room combo counter, so its probably easier to get with real ways of testing
@@adrianlo931 Ok, after a bit of testing, I got it quite a few times on Ganon and DK, characters with a frame 4 airdodge. Were you able to replicate it on chars with a frame 3 airdodge?
So idk if you used most special but I found out falling up air into feint jump is a true combo, but that combo timing is pretty annoying, it also works with SAK, and Head-on Assault at low, mid percents
Did bro just jab lock 4 times in a row? With nair? Sheesh thats crazy. I mean i know nair can jab lock but using the platform for double the amount of jab locks? Crazy
Been trying to use helikick for a while, but it just doesn’t work for me. I either go for it when it’s true and it whiffs over their head, or they airdodge after down throw.
Thrupper is faster and easier to connect, HK has more knockback and will kill significantly earlier if youre near the ledge. HK only really kills of the side, even if you hold back during the move :
They should Buff Mii Brawler Movesets since it deserves many improvements in your gameplay: the Suplex, Onslaught (more long distances running the entire stage, knockback in low percentages 40-50%), Shot Put (more range and distance), Suplex (more range and distance that covers the entire game screen and with the ability to knock out 30-40%) Flashing Mach Punch (knockback in low percentages 30%), Burning Drop Kick (more long distance covering an enormous distance with the ability to charge the attack, very similar to Pichu's Side Special B and knockback in low percentages 20%), Thrust Uppercurt (more long distance and knockback in low percentages 40%), Counter Throw (activate on Projectiles and your feets are invulnerable With the ability to parris when blocking projectiles), Exploding Sidekick (that has Super armor from the beginning of the animation and does a damage of 44% and when executing it from the back, it does 60%, its knockback will be 0%) Head on Assault , Soaring Axe Kick (At the beginning of their animations, 3 descending hits will be delivered) so that they have more range in their specials so they can recover easier (let the distance be from the shore from the stage until the end of the platform and you can make another short jump, perform the special again and so on) and the buff is to knock out all his attacks in very low percentages. Can be a Meteor Spike similar Ganondorf and Terry Down Air. It must also have a speed higher than Sonic, a couple of adjustments to its Jabs, tilts, aerial and Smash Attacks. Down Air can be a Meteor Spike Smash similar Terry, Restore your Jabs:, Jab1 Punch left, Jab 2: Elbow hit, Jab 3: Head hit, Up tilt: Uppercut Ryu, Forward Tilt: Heavy Elbow, Forward Air: Snake's Axe kick, Up Smash and Forward Smash faster and less endlag. Critical Smash attacks could do with knocking out stronger opponents, and that Heroes of Dragon Quest aren't the only ones with that ability. Is my main and i like to play with it, they deserve to be buffed in all their special attacks with higher range and range, Smash attacks, tilts. The Mii Brawler must have other projectile options with greater trajectory, range and distance such as: Bomb - explodes causing huge recoil to your opponents causing them a lot of damage. Steel Ball: Throw a steel ball at a great distance capable of breaking and piercing the shields of your opponents, damaging them a lot. PD: The Mii Brawler is a character that many underestimate in Smash Bros Ultimate and deserves to be improved as he is a character with a lot of potential and is one of my favorites.
