These videos are elegantly constructed productions. Entertaining and informative :). PS - 'Praktica'. Now that is a blast from the past. Built like tanks.
Thank you! Indeed they are built like tanks. As I explained in my reply to Mario, I am obsessed with vintage east German gear. I like studying their design and engineering. Some have a very distinct aesthetic about them.
Hilarious and high level edutainment! Love the spitfire running gags and thanks for the introduction into Kontakt. I always thought about building my own instruments one day and now it feels like sth that increases my excitement! Keep the great videos coming
finally someone teaching a subject that he really knows. the best Kontakt explanation available on youtube, simple, correct and direct. thank you, best brazilian regards. Subscribed
I actually did have a Praktica camera, got it as a birthday gift from my father when I was a kid. Sadly the mechanism is jammed now (I fucked it up somehow), but it was a nice beginner camera.
My father gave me a Zenit (similar ending). As for the Prakticas, I collect the damn things. Relates to my obsession with East German (and Soviet) era gear. Most of my videos are shot on 3-15€ vintage lenses from old cameras. I bargain aggressively in flea markets lol.
@@chromofonic 'I bargain aggressively in flea markets lol.' Indeed :). I could be wrong but I believe quality optics made from glass do exactly the same job with light rays, if not better. The only downside is the weight.
@@MartinJG100 Yup. The quality of light is "special" on these old lenses. Agreed, they can be heavy but sometimes operating a heavy lens feels more "intentful" similar to when using film instead of digital cameras; one has to commit to the shot. I guess Mario is right, a Praktika is a nice beginner camera, similar to my Kontakt tutorials. Hence why I featured one in the video :)
I really enjoyed this video, and I'm grateful to have stumbled upon it. I know that I will have to watch it many more times to fully grasp what you've shown. You're an excellent teacher.
LOL @ using Paul's "I'm very excited".
😜 Even after finishing the video, I kept hearing "I am very excited today..." and "Imposter syndrome".

Coming from KVR. I really like your work. Very informative and well done. Best wishes!
ah from KVR. 😇 At least you made it through the destructive and often unnecessary commenting by some members at KVR. Thank you for watching.
