😳 That was amazing. I got up at 4am this morning to work on an underscore, but found myself binge-watching your videos instead and learning about stuff that I never previously thought possible. Not only was this something you don't really find elsewhere on YT, it's presented in such a way that makes it all so accessible, which takes a real talent. I'm literally blown away with this new sonic world that you've so cleverly revealed that was already there in front of us the whole time 👏👏👏
Thank you, Chromo. Fantastic work. Really fantastic. This may be your best yet. Your performance/demo during the RRST [Round Robin Stress Test] was excellent. Perhaps you should trademark these letters and words.Maybe add a "C" at the beginning, for Chromofonic, so "C-RRST",and,sometimes, the word "Verified",to the end, so "C-RRST Verified". Other marketing phrases such as "Developed using our UNIQUE C-RRST Technology", spring to mind. [Of course, the more mysterious, and impressive-sounding acronyms you can dream up, and use, the better]. Also, given the quality of you lessons/videos, perhaps you could add a word like "Academy" to your name. Something like "Chromofonic Audio Academy" [CAA] could work. Only half - joking about the "Academy", since what you're teaching is pure gold. [Maybe it should be "Stukas Audio Academy" since Spitfire have an "Academy". At least they claim to on their website]. All kidding aside, your videos are pretty mind-blowing. I can hardly wait to see what comes up as they continue. Really great work.
ROFL 🤣 and here I was thinking that I used sarcasm in my videos lol Your suggestions are great! I will call my legal patent team up to file for the C-RRST at once. Brilliant idea. Thank you for the support and the encouraging words.
@@chromofonic Hi, glad it amused you, but your use of sarcasm in your videos is on another level entirely :) . I love the red sniper dots appearing on your chest. Not to mention those helicopters that keep following you, and the fact that you need a max-security underground bunker in the woods, from which to operate. It's almost as if you were trying to portray yourself as some kind of secret agent. The James Bond of Sampling, perhaps.[Or Jason Bourne]. The story you're telling is So Much better than the stories that the likes of Spitfire tell, and at least you didn't get shot in this episode! Mind you,the callous,cold-blooded shooting of our hero, in the woods, in a prior video, didn't deter him from continuing to reveal even more closely guarded "industry secrets". Tremendous courage :/ and tenacity!!! I capitalized his name as I feel that a hero deserves to have a capital letter. At least one! ;) .
Just catching up, Chromo. Missed the notification for some reason. It's tough being a subversive. More good stuff. PS - 25:05. Relief. Glad you resolved this. For a moment or two, I thought you were in two minds....
Thanks! I know. RUclips notifications are not always consistent. Haha! PS I was contemplating whether to resolve it or not. Sometimes I find it tempting to let things remain unresolved ;)
Thanks so much for making these! :) Someone has to tell you that you're doing an amazing work. Really can't express enough how much I love your videos! Cheers
I learned something usefull today. Mission accomplished. 🙂 Chromo, thanks for your videos - always interesting, well thought-out and funny as f**k. Can't wait for another one already.
While I certainly enjoy the entertaining style of your videos, I REALLY appreciate your in-depth approach to sample cross-fading including the processing of samples to eliminate phase differentials, and how you demonstrate velocity processing techniques in Kontakt. I hope to incorporate what I have learned in my own Kontakt instrument creation and scripting. I would also be very interested to see how you would approach mod-wheel control of a similar cross-fade scenario between two groups of samples. I really don't wish to add the "Big Bob" SIPS library just to achieve a smoother equal power mod-wheel cross-fade between two sample groups in Kontakt. Keep up the good work!
wow took me a minute to understand. basically you did not use the soft sample in kontakt, rather the soft sample was used to get the EQ curve to apply to the hard sample to create a new, fake soft sample genius!
You nailed it again! Useful, entertaining, to the point, thank you sir PS: I knew that sooner or later Spitfire would send helicopters to find your secret base 😂
@@chromofonic Right! My samplers are Bliss, Tal and Ableton's. I'll have to try that technique. I create custom multi-layer SFZ files with Bliss that I can load into other applications. I don't own Kontakt full - chasing enough rabbits - but I enjoy your content nonetheless.

You're amazing, man. Thanks for sharing the knowledge in such a delightful manner!
I learned something useful in this video.
amazing explanation and experimentation, spot on presentation.
So glad I found your channel! Absolute gems!
Great video! Thanks for sharing and thank you for the kontakt instrument :)

Thank you. Haha 😂 helicopters and snipers. Soon, I might need a refuge up the Italian Alps.
@@chromofonic you're always welcome my friend... there's a reason I live here and they didn't find me yet 😉
does anybody know how to achieve the fake phase/EQ trick with another eq? not sure if a free one has this option? what other EQs have this option?
🔥🔥🔥🔥
Don't you lose the phase alignment if you are altering the sample start with velocity? I enjoy your work!
Not really because the velocity alters the sample start equally for all crossfade levels. Good question and thanks.

what about stereo samples :D :X
