Wow. This was simply mind-blowing to me. Like many people, I have the full version of Kontakt, but have only used it to play already prepared sample libraries, mostly from the big name companies. Not only are many of those sounds and instruments overused in the cinematic production world, they can mount up to an incredibly hefty financial investment that is hard to make a good return on. The constantly never-ending sales, and relentless release schedules from some of these companies, can be overwhelming. I'm sure that a lot of new producers, for example, spend a small fortune in the mistaken belief that they "need" to have the latest and greatest sample library, when these methods you describe are actually better in a multitude of ways. The uniqueness of the sounds we can create for ourselves, being one of the most valuable assets. Your videos are an absolute must-watch, with a refreshing style and calm approach that is immediately captivating. Great work, and I hope you keep it up and reach a much wider audience. "Albedo 0.39" was the first album I ever bought back in 1976, so he had a very special place in the development of my musical interests and, ultimately, my choice of instruments and sound today).
Correction. The Send Levels module "sends" the sample to the Send Effects section, from where it is routed to the instrument's output. Also, I dedicate this Episode to Vangelis, who sadly passed away today. His charisma always inspired me. RIP Vangelis.

Loved your composition! I think I might build a custom-made instrument with more than one sample to do justice to your piece. I couldn't find your link in my last video. I think my filter should allow that.

In my channel i have also a weird behavior regarding notifications and my settings , i can’t see all. If you do any vst i like and i have free time i may compose something with it and let you know, sure. Or even some walkthrough with suggestions of use. I think you would be the guy to properly create a “hybrid orchestra” or hybrid chamber ensemble, from few samples and a lot of touchs of magic. If I said in another comment: the paradigm next will look like this, home studios will explore the properly virtual and poetic capabilities, while big companies will dominate these heroic sampling works, like 1 Million Stradivarius played at once (…) and all samples with correct name (…), or “The Instruments Of Ancient Aegypt in Museum of the Alexandria Library Recorded with Gold Diafragma Mics” For my opinion , a vst instrument (that we download or buy) is good when it blends in many situations (piano) . When it is too specific and rigid (like not enabling good counterpoint), even despite some ADSR faders or these things, I find not optimal for buying - but this doesn’t mean it is by definition useless. But the convolution tip inside Kontakt is gold, good to know. I heard similar from Vemus Theory channel, but not in Kontakt. For now my mastery is the Sampler in Logic. Since i wanted so badly to control Sul Ponticello/Sul Tasto, I learned and tried a lot of things there. The track My Power is God’s power is with Logic’s orquestraand 3-2 corrections with EW. I'm sampling a three-string rabeca: G, D, A (a typical instrument from the Brazilian Northeast). In the first adjustments it's already looking beautiful! When I'm done, I'll show you! You are an inspiration, man! thanks for the generosity!
I think in a composer world where we are (literally) bombarded with new libraries releases, originality and "unique" sounds are gonna be important to stand out.I always like that idea of record something like : instrument, ambient or whatever and turning that into expressive instrument but that thought of "this is too complicated" was too much, to go through and now after I watched some of your videos, I may try it. ;). Your channel is very interesting, I'm glad I found it :D.
I must say that I am truly impressed by your techniques which provide so much texture and variation from so little in the way of initial samples as the source. You inspire me to do some real world ambient sampling. I guess I will have to save up and purchase a portable recorder to do so. Recommendations for a good value in portable recorders similar to what you used for this video to capture the wind and cityscape sample would be appreciated!
Thank you. I'm glad you get it. I found that the Zoom H1n, although basic in functionality, it fulfills most needs if used correctly. However, the more expensive models offer flexibility in recording such as using external mics hooked to the recorder. Wind is a bit tricky. You will need to experiment with microphone positioning :)

For my opinion , a vst instrument (that we download or buy) is good when it blends in many situations (piano) .
