The Alyxgun seen in HL:A its the same gun but without the modes , after HL:A the rebels upgraded the Alyxgun , the alyxgun that we see with burst fire upgrade in HL:A its the Alyxgun without the smg mode and long distance modr
this is a lot better than any gun they "could" have given her. i like the idea that alyx has been tampering with her own pistol over the years and converting it into a multi-role gun. in pistol form, it's easy to conceal and hide from the eyes of CPs and Scanners. in SMG form she has mobility and good firerate, and with the rifle she has range and accuracy. and all of this can be done in under 10 seconds.

Im gonna be that person and point out how supposing the telescoping barrel could work which makes no sense, the action would either not work or make the barrels redundant because the m1911 is like a short recoil with a tilting lock, if the base barrel disengages with the other barrels, you lose barrel pressure and thus any benefits of having an extended barrel. If it doesnt disengage, the weapon cant cycle XD. Still, yeah id love to have seen this :3
