- Enjoy this fun historical tour of Walt's Barn conducted by Doug Marsh from the Carolwood Foundation in ultra high definition 4k 2160p. Doug shows how Walt Disney had a true love for trains and how he utilized this barn in his backyard during his retirement years in Holmby Hills, Calfornia. Later in the video, the surrounding perimeter of the barn is shown with the train steam whistles. We happened to come on the day that David Stollery from Spin and Marty was there showing off his Arex automobile. Later, Michael, Daniel, and their father Arnie take a quick visit to Travel town. Also special thanks to Sharon as another docent seen in this video. For more information on visiting or support Walt's Barn, please visit carolwood.org/i...

This docent does a fantastic job! I am about to visit the barn.
Hope you enjoyed Walt's barn
Very nice - I want to go see this historical structure in person. I still love everything Disney. It was a sad day when Walt passed away. Thank you so much for your post. Cheers.
Glad you enjoyed the Walt's barn video Angela :)

+fletcher3913 Thanks Fletcher for the kind words :)
nice video and very interesting
Great Presentation ! Thanks for sharing it and great job with the filming as well. Cheers ! :-)
Very nice video, however Ward Kimball was not the first person in the United States to own a steam locomotive. Lehigh Valley Railroad #1 “Dorthy”, an inspection engine, was sold to a private individual in 1934. Unfortunately, he passed away a few years later, and his wife gave it to a WWII scrap drive
26:45 I didn’t know there was a whistle there you could blow!
Nice!
Next time we visit the LA area, We will stop buy.
I Want to go there. I've been to the barn in Marceline Missouri. Find a place and put a message for Walt Disney on it.The station is now the Walt Disney Hometown Museum.
The honking at the begining was rather rude. Two short honks would have seviced
Errm they are Model trains.
Yes, they are model trains. A very expensive model train. Steam locomotives will be more pricey than lawn mower or electric powered locomotives. The hobby is called "Live Steam".
