I tell people that we have to say yes more than we say no. Saying yes can SEEM like a risk, but darn it, every time I have said yes has taken me kilometers and continents away from the boring comfort zone that I was trained/taught/persuaded that I should prefer. Take steps, one step at a time, or do a broad jump if you will. But MOVE IT!
I agree about taking risks and leaps of faith. First time I ever did that I joined a drum and bugle corps in Vancouver, Washington.(I’m from Oregon) If not for that experience in general I would have never traveled all over the United States. That led to being in the military where I went all over the world. If not for that I wouldn’t have the experiences I have had and met great people on this beautiful planet. So I agree with you, take those risks and leaps of faith.

I learned many years ago to try new things - taking responsible risks - is a part of life. Accepting challenges is also a part of life. Life is meant to be lived ! Many older people ( sadly ) have regrets late in life for not having tried new things and taking risks. They feel that they missed out of a lot of opportunities and challenges that would have been rewarding - and enjoyable.

I took a Risk to Jack back in my Days when I was almost you age 20-24 I believe I was got into Acting Workshops did a Theater Play small Budget film. For this Disabled Young man that I was and still I'm people Tell me you got some Balls to do what you do. Well it is not that I got some Big Balls it is that I like Acting and to Interact with others Actors to. Which they were afraid to get close to my Face afraid that I Break I remember my Acting Coach telling go head he won't break he is just like us. then I took a Risk to Go to College to for two years I had the Blast in there a lot of Friend Hanging with the Crowds yes I did that to Jack. We have to take Risk or we not going to know our Full Potential. Forgot to tell yes I was scare to take Risk But I over come the Fear by forcing myself into it
I used to love going out and exploring new things-whether it was playing soccer, street dancing, mountain climbing, or any kind of adventure, I was fully invested and enjoyed every moment. But as time went on, I started to feel the complexities and pressures of social relationships weighing on me. Now, I've become more of a homebody, spending my time playing video games or drawing, and I rarely want to go out. I’m not sure if this change is good or bad😅
I would say if your being productive and becoming better every day it’s not a bad thing as long as you don’t become isolating because I did learn that the hard way so to answer it it’s medium it’s not bad but not good neutral but every once in a while try to do new things!

I have to stay busy ,,its just me ,,,so when i found my self laid up unable to walk no more than 15 to 20 feet not going out in my yard ,,food shopping etci started a old hobby i always did ,,,model railroading ,,,,its been a bit over 2.5 years and its 90 % complete ,,, very detailed and to scale using n scale which those who know is very small ,,,,i am 70 so its a bit more challenging to construct how ever it has given me what i needed and still need,,,,not a big TV guy more a you tube guy,,,,,,yesterday had yet again another Doc appointment with some small gains and i will leave at that ,,,so thank you Jack for another good post ,,please enjoy being with your grandmother ,,,,so important for both of you ,,,,,,,Steve

so i am very upset with how things have went i wanted to so much to talk to you with this major back issues and no one wants to do that today was a major procedures and very painful and we did find my spine surgery failed as i thought and has to be done over today they burnt the nerves and now i feel like a pin cushion so instead of bothering everyone i am going it alone no more chats ,,,i did love your kindness but it does not work for me i need more help than you or most people can give,,right now my back feels like a pin cushon with all the needles i had today,so you have much more to worry about than me,,,love Steve
