I agree 100% there mate us drivers are very under appreciated its a shame because the conditions are seriously poor as in being governed by useless red tape which makes everything take much longer than necessary. Those days when things go wrong (like the payage, or the dead end at the start of the video), you feel like you could park the truck in the middle of the road, get out and start the long walk back to Ireland because you've had enough shit for one day! Ned , very enjoyable videos . Just a tip re lower back problems . A simple yoga pose . Lay flat on your back ( in the cab if you have room ) put your legs up against a wall as near to 90degrees as you can and lay there for 5 minutes . You can use the timer on your phone. It does help! Best of luck !

Lovely to see you Ned. Already, I can feel a smile coming on my face. Just to reiterate here (the Paege scenario). We are only human, the French not so much. They are born to create massive chaos, ie, the French farmers strike, and of course the paeges. When my and my lovely hubby first got to France. We needed fuel. It was in the middle of the night, and we pulled into a 24 hour garage. And we couldn't get fuel, because it wouldn't accept cash or any type of debit card (this was way back in the 1980s), it only accepted French cards only. Luckily, a lovely French couple had pulled in for fuel, and they let us use their card to fill up, and I gave them the cash to pay for it. So, in future, we always used cash and always in daylight hours🤣. Sounds like Auf Wiedersehen Pet as you're close to the building site in Frankfurt🤣

Two items: Many states in the US used to have "Blue Laws " prohibiting Sunday driving unless you had perishables on board for the meat or produce markets. They were originally adopted to keep people from working on holy days. Also, I'm surprised they allow you to drive with so many electronic devices on your windshield, obviously impairing your vision. Still prohibited in many states here in the US. Glad you're back on the Continent. 👍👍
