Meh. Judas Priest ,Megadeth would be awesome. Metallica lost me when they went commercial and abandon there hard rock metal roots ….also didn’t appreciate Hetfield mocking a then recovering Layne Staley on stage. ON STAGE! The fans let him have it. And rightfully so. Amazingly Hetfield ended up in recovery less than a year later. I used to live Metallica. Saw them many times. But….no More. Priest rocks!
I can’t be the only one that noticed Kirk playing the wrong rhythm part just after the second verse and before the solo? Sounded like a bunch of instruments tumbling down a stairwell. Regardless it still kicked ass seeing these guys playing together.
Yeah, Kirk fucked up this classic. Then again, he is never very 'overrehearsed' when it comes to cover songs. There's a clip of him playing 'Motorcycle Man' with Metallica & Biff and playing the solo like he heard the song for the 1st time....
kk threw a fit and left, so the band recruited richie almost 14 yrs ago (far longer than dave holland was in the band fyi). glenn has parkinson’s and chose andy to fill in for him live 6 yrs ago. scott, 35 yrs, ian, 54 yrs, rob, 50 yrs . sorry you miss kk and glenn, but it’s still priest to them and it’s still priest to me .
So crazy I was there with my son and wife then Richie went into cardiac arrest. New something was wrong jus couldn't imagine.thank God the er was so close. I jus went before to see Muhammad al'ls grave the day before. I know no connection jus surreal
