I’d love to see Babolat make a racket using the pure strike mold, 16/20 string pattern, low 60s RA, and a 315g or 320g unstrung weight. That would be a weapon!!
Love this racquet. Chose the 16x19 pure strike over the pure aero after demo. Returned to tennis (20 year break) with this racquet. This racquet heavily rewards full swings and good technique. If you arm the ball back over the net like many beginners your elbow will tell you (major vibration). The weight of the frame is just heavy enough to trust smooth ground strokes, but light enough to accelerate for punishing high ball, serves, and overheads. Multifilament mains (head velocity) & Poly crosses (head lynx) have been the best string combo I've tested on this frame. Highly recommend.
Jens... I have added weight in the grip handle along with Tungsten Tape at 3 & 9. I love this racquet with the added weight. I am trying to find the right hybrid setup... currently Babolat Origin at 24kgs in the mains and Babolat RPM Rough in the cross at 22. I am think of dropping a half kilo on both. Great on serve and volley especially. I am enjoying the feel off the ground as well.
Honestly don't know why (most) racquet companies even bother listing specs for their racquets at this point. Good advice about asking suppliers to check the specs before selling it to you - sadly some smaller retailers don't have a large stock of each racquet so you're stuck with what they have in store (at least that was the case for me).
Just bought the Gen 3 Pure Strike, grrrr... Now I wish I'd bought the Gen 2 as it's less dampened and feeling the ball, the contact, is what I like, and they're even $20 cheaper too! Doh!
i bought two frames, i played before with PO07 . third generation completly different racket, when i set unstrung balance to 32cm(weight 308gr) racket was too head heavy . I change balance to 31,5 cm (weight 314gr) . It was better. But you are right, racket is too muted, too powerful, slice is absolutly uncontroleble shot, backanad same. For me still stiff, i feel arm. I sold them. 2nd gen 100% better frame. Now i bought vcore95 .
I got a chanece to demo 100 and can compare to the previous gen. The p07 is normal babolat crisp and powerful, but the dempend system really is a big question in 3rd. It reamains the same power but literally kill all the feel which means the only thing you know is whether you hit the ball or not, you can't feel where it settles, how much spin it got, but the comfort is amazingly superior. It amazed me how this features work~~
Hello, the dunlop CX 200 is less powerful than the pure strike? all rackets feels too porwerful to me (I really hit way too hard all the time) but I don't have the technical level to play extra heavy rackets nor 97' frames, the CX 200 (LS) could fit me well I believe, but it's kinda hard to find super control rackets for 285-290g
Just played the Pure Strike today.. very lovely finding.. I heard about the Pure Aero and the Pure Drive before (liked a lot the Pure Drive, very nice balance of power and control but the Pure Aero is not for me, too specialized.. for spin only) Now the Pure Strike.. well, well, well, have to play it again but now my preferred racket .. Lovely, sweet, good for everything
Indeed, I got mine 3 weeks ago and just enjoy playing with it on court - perfect for my single-handed backhand as it cuts through the air very rapidly and very stable. Best ever racquet in my bag.
Did I hear you right Jonas? SW is supposed to be 325 but you got one with SW of 342 !!?? Yikes !! Sounds like a Reject which found its way into the market from a Non-Existent Babolat QC !! These manufacturers should really be prosecuted for endangering our Arm Health.
Hi, Is there a difference in feel between 2014 Pro Staff 97 and 2016/18 Pro Staff 97? it feels like 2014 version is more plush and comfort to me. i would like to know what ur though on it. Thanks!
Hey tennis nerd love your vids!! I was wondering how the Radical OS (Andre Agassi) compares to the HEAD pro tour 2.0 in terms of feel. Do they have similar flex?
I like the fact that you step into your shots and you don’t wait for the ball to come to you and end up hitting open stance. Only if your rushed I feel you should hit open which is why with semi open stance you get the best of both worlds, which you are doing so it’s great my friend 👍
55lbs on polyester on this racket SERIOUSLY!, no wonder you gonna have wrist issues. Try again under 44-48lbs you didn't even get to take the best out of this racket with that high tension on a full poly bed.
Shocking quality control from babolat, an intermediate player could buy one of these and end up with a spec that belongs on the atp tour!
I’d love to see Babolat make a racket using the pure strike mold, 16/20 string pattern, low 60s RA, and a 315g or 320g unstrung weight. That would be a weapon!!
Demo the vcore 95, similar specs. Don't worry about the sq inch difference, yonex 95s play like 97/98s.
You have the Pure Strike VS with 16x20 coming out.

I’ve used the PA for about 2 years, tried out the PS and instantly loved it
Amazing paint job I absolutely love it
That racquet is fire 🔥 my racquet of choice
Same here
Same
I’m just about to order it
Have you been able to test out the 18x20 yet? Would love your review on that one.
These QC controls are outrageous. That's how regular club players get injured.

What is the difference between such a pure strike and the new Vcore 98 besides feel? Looking at the specs at TW they should be pretty similar, right?

vcore 98 or 95? How does to it compare to pure strike?
what do you think about the Head Prestige pro XT grpahene ???
For some reason I play with the 100 and it’s also a great stick.
Popular racket in my area. I feel like I’m one of the few not using it.
whats up tennis troll!
@@lol-wv1hv : ]
Hey Tennis Troll where are you ? You should switch for this frame
@@987mikka Atlanta. I’ve tried it. It’s solid. Maybe when my current rackets wear out I may consider.

@@estheryee4084 did you compare it to the Pure Drive.
Can you also test the 18x20 version please
I hope so!
what do you think about the lite version?

For me is one of the most cool racquet design's ever made..great colors. It reminds me some skies bindings backdays..sadly I'm not that fan of Babolat

Any differences between this one and the Tour version that you could highlight apart from what we can tell comparing the specs bewtween the two?
i have this racket and i absolutely LOVE IT!!
Nice review!! Do you know the most similar babolat pro stock racquet to the pt113b?
Does pure strike 18x20 have more control then pure aero? And how muted is it comaperd to pure aero?
I just picked a Gen 2 16x19 today, every review I have seen says the same thing "Gen3 is not as good". “Muted” seems to be the key term- interesting
Hey tennis nerd love your vids!! I was wondering how the Radical OS (Andre Agassi) compares to the HEAD pro tour 2.0 in terms of feel. Do they have similar flex?
Hey Zayn, Thanks! The OS is nice too, but not quite as sweet and flexy as the Pro Tour. The sweet spot is larger though :)
@@Tennisnerd thanks man huge fan of the vids legit look forward to all your vids keep up the great stuff !!!
How does it feel on the one hander🤔?
👍🏻👍🏻
Will you be reviewing the Yonex ezone 98 tour when it is released?
Yes, that is the plan 👍🏻
The tour version ? Any info of the spec ?
Have you tried the tour version?
Yes, there is a review on this channel (in the description)
You should do a racket specs of Juan Carlos Ferrero. Specifically his prince days, that graphite frame that ferrero, Acosta, nalbandian used.
Hi what do you think what is the better this or the pure strike 100?
The 98 👍🏻
Why don’t you make a video where you compare between tennis ball?
What string and tension do you use?
does it break easily?
Is this really just a soft widebody?
I like the fact that you step into your shots and you don’t wait for the ball to come to you and end up hitting open stance. Only if your rushed I feel you should hit open which is why with semi open stance you get the best of both worlds, which you are doing so it’s great my friend 👍

How do you make sure they are the same spec? Lol
That is MASSIVELY off spec. I would be really disappointed to be expecting 325 swing weight and receiving one over 340.
I really need to switch to Yonex for good...
Jesus loves you
2:35 wrist pain
Next video please!
shut up soft boy
My stick! 🤓
💪🏻💪🏻
Tennisnerd could you do a review of the Toroline string and the TenxPro Xstrike? Much appreciated and great content🤝😀👏
It may be a good frame but YUCK! really ugly.
