- The second video to the one titled Lafonda Heading West Again, where I said “to be continued”…this video starts off the following morning with 12” of snow on Lafonda. After taking an hour to clean off and warm up, I start driving…it takes me over 3 hours to go 100 miles. I waited again in Montana for the roads to get better but this winter storm just never ceased…it snowed the entire time until I got to Washington. But Teddy and I finally made it to our hotel and we can finally relax 😴😴😴

Thanks for sharing. I never knew the beauty of it.
It truly is beautiful
Even though I've lived in the Midwest all my life and really don't like winter and the snow, the mountain views were awesome. Be safe out there. ❤❤❤❤🥰👍
@@JohnBrown-yz6nb I am not too fond of the winter either (especially driving in the snow) but it is really pretty. 😁🥶 I’m glad you enjoyed the mountain views 🏔️🌄

@@charles-k2q8l well thank you for finding my channel 😉 my Teddy is a big teddy bear and loves everyone…I had a female rottie before him that got cancer and had to be put down-I cried like I never cried before and then I got Teddy the very next day (I was so heartbroken and he saved me from that). No nor am I retired lift or as you say elevator engineer be careful out there my daughter is a carer
@@stevepennell8008 okay thank you very much, to you and your daughter 😁 thanks for your caring and support, I truly appreciate it 🥰
I'm really glad that you made it to your layover destination without problems. Not having to chain up was a real plus, and Ken offering to do that for you if needed was very gracious. Yes, there are still some good folks out there. I can only imagine that there were some "white knuckle " feelings along the way. A crisp salute and a big tip of the maroon beret to you Lisa, you are a very courageous, strong-willed, and independent woman doing what you do alone ( Teddy can't really help, he doesn't have any thumbs). You have my utmost respect and admiration for your determination and intestinal fortitude. Enjoy your well-deserved and earned hours off and get out with Teddy. Keep drivin on, be safe. AATW!
@@michaelmatthews8953 Thank you! Yes there are still some very good people in the world today-rare but when you meet them it’s always a God send… Teddy and I have been relaxing and I did get some play time in with him. Tomorrow morning we will be getting reloaded and heading back east (hopefully no white knuckle days/nights). Thanks for watching and commenting on my videos! May God bless you!
God has answered many prayers with your safe arrival to WA state. It seems that this is an adventurous winter for you this year. That is so awesome that Ken was willing to help you out, truckers taking care of truckers. Enjoy your well deserved rest and hug Teddy for all of us . Keep on trucking😊.
@@michaelpawlowski7760 Thank you! Teddy will get thousands of hugs and I will tell him that they are from his “fans” 🤣 Yes this has been an adventurous winter, that’s for sure! I appreciate your support!
Love watching tour vedios since I can't drive

@@rjheckert65 Awe 🥰 I like that name, Shaggy
That’s a lot of snow everywhere! It does look like beautiful country underneath it all. I love how Teddy was watching you so intently while you were talking. ❤He’s used to being your only audience. I really enjoyed all the background music, too. And, very glad you made it to the hotel without any serious problems (and glad you managed with the jake brake going off). Thanks for taking us on your journey! I loved it …especially in the warmth of my kitchen 😉. Stay safe and God Bless you always!
Awe! Thank you so much! Teddy sure does like watching me 😃 God bless you!
Hi Nice Lady🌹😘 The views from those passes sure are beautiful the tall mountains covered in snow but I must say You have nerves of steel to drive those snow covered roads in big fancy 18wheeler WOW💪 And your many years and millions of miles experience really shines bright the way you take it nice and easy and slow to make it through to your destination without a hitch👌 A lot of drivers sure could take some lessons from you how to respect the conidtions of those treacherous roads🥰 At least you had a teensie tiny bit of black top to ride on so that was a real blessing! Hope you and Teddy were able to have some much needed R&R after conquering those high mountains🏔🏔🏔🏔🚛🚛🚛🚛😎 Hope the return trip was a lot better traveling conditions and I LOVED watching start to finish👍 Take Care Nice Lady Driver❤
@@Wade50 yes! I had a teensy tiny bit of blacktop and that was a wonderful thing 🤗🤗 thank you for your awesome comment (really makes me happy 😃)…Teddy and I are rested up and ready to head back east tomorrow!
@@LafondaJackson436 I've got a song for you it's called Little Pink Mack by Kay Adams👍 Type it into the youtube search bar and have a listen😉 It makes me think of what an excellent tractor trailer driver lady you are🥰 Good Night🌙😴
@@Wade50that was fantastic!! Thank you Wade! I loved it!
I like the music at the end of this video. Be safe and your doggie to.
Will do, thank you 😊
Hi young lady. I’m up here in NW Montana. We have the same snow. I first trucked through this country hauling lumber in 1973 for MO Nelson Trucking. We were almost cited at the border for overweight. 900 lbs of ice. Haha I was kicking it off my pick up earlier. Good Luck stay safe! God Bless
@@montanamornings8526 oh my goodness that is alot of weight for ice! Haha! I went over the scales in WA and I think I was 200lbs heavier 😆 God Bless you too!
@ story their too. Back in the day, in Wa, if the scales were on the opposite side of the Hwy, you were required to pull in. I didn’t know it. Few miles down the road there were the flashing red lights. 😬 Washington is weird. Watch out. Turned out guy believed me and let me go.
@@montanamornings8526 I totally agree, WA is weird with their DOT. But then again, every state seems to have DOT officers that think they are gods 🙄 Not all, but most
@@montanamornings8526 good thing he let you go 😁
Stay safe
i ran for fedex a few years ago from flying j in butte to Kalispell. the billings leg crossed homestake so i was fortunate never had to chain. and the sucky part was is was all in the dark beautiful in a clear sky and full moon with snow though... in Missoula at exit 96 the Conoco on the north east side of 90 has a awesome bakery with sandwiches
It is beautiful at night with a full moon, that’s for sure! I’ve never stopped at that conoco but maybe I will now! Thanks for sharing!
I stayed 11 hrs at the Toiga river rest Area in Pennsylvania last night it was Ice rd trucking this morning, have a safe ride today
That’s a nice rest area! And I heard it was really icy in PA, stay safe
Oh hi, greetings from Ellensburg. Teddy's a fine companion. There is a reason we specced auto chains on our Western Star Super C,
I wish I had them…and you’re in ellensburg, that’s where I am now too 😁 heading to Wenatchee tomorrow morning to load and head back to PA
Covered you and Teddy with a shield of protection. 😊
@@vedahixson9449 Awe thank you Veda! 🥰
Looks so cold out.
-1 ,it is really cold 🥶
Yes brrrrrrrrr🥶
Atleast your water stays cold....stay safe driver
Yeah it actually froze rock solid
Such beautiful scenery. All the snow certainly ups the pucker factor, for me just watching. All in all, I enjoyed the ride, seeing things I will never see with my own eyes. Glad you made it safely.
@@williamwintemberg thank you! My mom just texted me and said that her nails are about chewed off from watching this video 😆 I’m glad you enjoyed watching it even though it was “nerve racking”
The computer is keeping you from the ditch.
If the Jake engages on ice it would lock your tires into a skid.
ABS probably is having a say too.
Minor inconvenience.
Sad to see your new truck covered in muck.
Take care and be safe.
And here I am in California complaining about how much I hate the winter when it’s in the 50s all day long 😂
My best friend has a dog that looks like your dog except his name is Tank.
@@astardustparade I would LOVE a 50 degree winter! 😆 Rottweilers are great dogs!! Mine loves everyone and everything 🤣
Well, it does drop to 39 sometimes in the early morning. I’m a wimp when it comes to cold. My folks moved to the East Coast a few years ago (NH) and when I have gone to visit in the winter I cannot get over how cold it is.
Do you ever drive out to California?
@@astardustparade no my company doesn’t go to California…they have too many regulations and requirements for truckers and my company doesn’t think it’s worth it 😒
Well you aren’t missing anything here. I subscribed to you 🤗😊
@@astardustparade well thank you very much! 😁
Looks like you're having so much fun that morning. Montana wanted you to stay there. Side questions : which one of truck stop franchises do you prefer and have you ever used the Pilot in Grantsville, MD?
Thanks, I will! 😁🙏
@LafondaJackson436 so did you have a preference on which truck stop franchise you prefer and also have you ever been to the pilot in Grantsville Maryland? I liked Pilot but for some reason i always prefer loves but I think there's only one in this area. Now I remember I went to a few of them down in the West Virginia Virginia Tennessee area I just wanted to get your take on it.
@@JRsmountainretreat I actually prefer the Loves…but my company has us set up for fuel at Pilot/Flying J (they get a .60 discount or something)…when I park for the night though I prefer a good ol’ rest area
I have been to the pilot in grantsville, Md but it’s been awhile
@@LafondaJackson436 I love the view from there.
Awe !
That is so nice of you to say that you would help me put chains on! Thank you 😊 I will always be safe and careful in any kind of weather. 😁 Take care!
I think you should get snow pay for driving in the snow.It does take extra effort and more nerve racking.Need some kind of reward for doing that.maybe a bonus.Be safe out there and take care of yourself and Teddy.
@@joanelsullivan7866 yes I agree! Actually the company that I work for is really great about acknowledging things like this and they do give extra $$ and special bonuses. I know that is rare in the trucking industry. Thank you for your caring support. Teddy and I will be safe 😊 Take care!
That was nice of that man to do that, see how you bring out the best in some people. Was Teddy's friend was a male or female? Just wondering what direction their conversation went?
@@JRsmountainretreat awe thank you for saying that about me ☺️ and yes he was very nice to offer to help me. His dog was a female and really kept barking (she was a boss) and Teddy just stared and whimpered every now and then. 😆 Typical female/male relationship right? 🤣

how many states accept the EZ pass for tolls?
I believe all of them.
Ever worry about teddy locking you out of the truck?
Yes and that’s why I always carry a key in my pocket, just in case (it hasn’t happened yet but you never know) 😆
@LafondaJackson436 I thought so but most don't think of that especially with the new trucks
Look how fast I replied before even a minute
One of the stupid things headlight developers did was take away the heat.
Of course it may be intentional. They sell headed lenses.
@@Torsee I know that is so stupid 🙄 my mechanic put different bulbs in (which are brighter) but they never heated up to get rid of the ice. I may have to get heated wiper blades too…
Airbrakes please😢😢😢
