Some little notes: *The Morgaunt Grand Court are actually the guys who rule over Charnelcourt, the land in Shyish that was Ushoran's former dominion (the 3E battletome has a neat map of it). *Ushoran and his personal judge Grand Justice Gormayne are part of the Hollowmourne subfaction on tabletop. Which is kind of weird, since the battletome doesn't really mention them having any relation other than the Hollowmourne being loyal to Ushoran (which all Flesh Eaters are, really). Maybe their appearance in Dawnbringers will go into it. *The 2E FEC battletome (which had longer descriptions of the Grand Courts) mentioned how Sigmar actually ravaged the kingdoms that would become Morgaunt due to them being loyal to Nagash back when Sigmar was trying to hunt him down. As such, the Morgaunt are fanatical worshippers of Nagash and despise Sigmar, believing that if it weren't for his treachery Nagash could've driven Chaos out of Shyish. *Likewise, the 2E FEC battletome mentions how the Hollowmourne knights will dig up graves believing they're hiding the treasures they seek, and then attempt to secure these treasures in the best way they know how; by swallowing them.
Gotta be clear, Dough: Morgaunt being the posterboys/-girls and not the *posterghouls* will never not be a missed opportunity. Great video aside from that, though! Hollowmourne in particular being subjected to "A nEw HaNd ToUcHeS tHe BeAcOn!" and going batshit is *chef's kiss*. Really craving the new FECs, despite money not being there. 🙃
@2+Tough one thing that indetcate the incontrolability of the Flesh Eating Courts in the perspespetive of the faction of Death is that some Ghul King can be manipulated to fight for anyone as long as that one plays into his delusion, I have heard that somewhere in the lore there was a battle involving some Gravelords teaming with some Courts sieging this outpost of Stormcast Eternals, when the Stomcasts are loosing and down to only a few men nad women left, one of them whom happened to be in the proximity of the Ghul king uttered "Oh nobile knight please help us in this diestress against these wicked ones along your merry way" or something similar in meaning of such, then the fleash eaters intently turned around and start beating the crap out of the Vampire forces whom dispite them lol
Do abhorants speak/communicate? If so is it gibberish or do they speak as they see themselves in their delusion? Can they communicate with other death factions?
Great video as usual, Doug. Consider getting an affiliated link from Wayland Games (biggest gaming warehouse shop in the UK), for the reason that here it's very common to buy from either Elements or Wayland depending on stock. Maybe one of them is out of airbrush thinner or they don't have that specific paint atm in stock, so we just buy from either shop regularly. If you had affiliated links for both it could cover the majority of hobby purchases here in the UK and I for one would be very happy to help you further, even if I don't often place big expensive orders
I agree, the flesh eater courts are amazing, even though I hate some of the models. I intend to paint my army using freeguild models, interspersed with flesheater courts models, so my opponent knows, what s/he is fighting against. Now I can paint the fantastic goodies and play the baddies. After all, why should I paint the models the way my opponents army sees them? Rather then how my warriors and heroes see themselves.
Thank you for these videos Doug, you dont get enough credit for singlehandledly carrying the AoS lore fanbase on RUclips. Its a shame, considering that the AoS team is so much better at breathing life into their world than the 40k team
Morgaunt: "No, we value life! Using innocent people as cannon fodder is utterly disgusting!"
*Proceed to move a meatwall of ghouls*

Once again, thank you for these videos. It really helps me create the lore of my own Court while I wait for my army box.

I love your content man, wonderful to listen to at work!
You've also cleared up a 30 year mystery for me. How a swallow could carry a coconut.
LETS GOOOO!! I get so hyped for these videos, so ready to paint and listen to this.
Loving the flesh eater lore vids! Looking forward to the rest of the series. 😄
Doug I need my gristlegore fix! 😂

Thanks for the upload, always a good listen🙂
Excellent stuff Doug
I just want to name characters Percival and have him give orders all pompousness

Are the links applicable to Canadians or is it U.S. only?
