Thank you for sharing. I'm in the Midwest, far removed from the locations of this storm. I get better coverage from all the Tubers than from the news. There are prayers being said (here and all over) for all affected by Helene. I volunteer at an "Emergency Relief Organization" called "Orphan Grain Train". An excellent organization folks, if you have a branch near you. Tuesday the 1st we were packing boxes to send via Semi truck to the affected areas. I know it can't get there fast enough. I'm glad you and your family were spared the worst. I never want to experience anything like this, but no one is immune. Our area gets snow and ice that can be quite severe. Orphan Grain Trains focus was food, water, baby formula, diapers, hygiene supplies, cleaning supplies, and feminine products. Godspeed be with you all in this recovery.
Today is day 4 without power It might be overcast and rainy so we’ll be hoping to get the batteries charged by evening and may not be able to make hot water but we have an outdoor shower that runs on propane. We have plenty of gas for the generator to keep the walk in freezer going. We’re using hotspots on our phones for internet. It’s strange that we still had Spectrum the first day the power went out but the second day it was off and hasn’t come back yet. Took about an hour and a half to send the last video. I reduced the quality slightly to help it go through.
Popped up in my feed…. Glad you’re all doing ok after Helene. Interesting point I’ve picked up from US content makers is that many have mentioned that the acorns are prolific this year. In the UK 🇬🇧 oak trees tend to lose large branches or fall in high winds after they’ve produced a much heavier than usual acorn crop. Like they’re concentrating on seed production. I’ve also noticed here that a mother oak can become weaker a year or two after surrounding young oaks are establishing second year growth. Look out for oak saplings near the fallen oak’s canopy area. Or further afield if forgotten by the squirrels. You might find some to keep or transplant. Silver linings etc
Thank you! I’ve always loved large hardwood trees! I believe they have a simple spirit and I see them have feelings and communication in Biblical references.
@@thegarnerfamilyfarmproject1748 I totally agree! I do a lot of work with elementals in the forest next to my house. Animals, trees, and stone/crystal medicine. The relationships you can develop with them bring so much joy. So cool!!
God has been revealing a lot to us about energy this past year. We are beginning to learn about the Aleph Tav Body system taught by Dr Alphonso Monzo. Working on removing congestion and allowing the body’s energy to flow properly. Also, we have begun to use Biodynamics to spread good energy across our property to help the microbiotics. I do gather some pretty pieces of quartz sometimes and put it near our structured water or near some plants but haven’t had time to learn about crystals. Maybe some year, lol
Were on our 2nd , Nature Coast Florida ..Saint Petersburg.FL but we have roads SO we need to be Praying for you`ll, Stay Well The LORD does not forget His Own.
Glad you are safe! I think you are the first person I've seen that has posted from their experience that has solar. I wonder if it's something thats prohibative to some due to forest canopy coverage / being on the side of a mountain?
It does need to face south but there are many open areas in the mountains that would have a good southern view. I see solar on houses a lot! Many systems don’t have batteries but are made to sell power back to the grid. In those cases people wouldn’t be able to use the power for themselves.
My Husband is a Trucker, locally in the Midwest, not OTR, but we follow RPM fb Trucker pages and FEMA is offering $2/mile for loads for Truckers! It's outlandish. Typically, they'll pay about $7/mi The page says FEMA set the rates super low, because they don't want loads to be coming in... they dont want teucks rolling in with supplies, thats the only reqson in the world they arent paying even a break even rate. Most guys are talking about what it would cost them ABOVE the RPM and its tens of thousands.. You can join these board and read what the common guys, that run stuff for a living and every emergency, we see this... $2/mi is a huge loss of money. Need at least $4/mile to cover expense/some hazard allowance. This is purposeful This is unbelievable
You'll obviously never understand self-sufficient people. THIS guy won't be worried about feeding his family, unlike 1000s, possibly millions, are right now. Take a lesson.
That's a Great Idea! I'll probably just cut it into firewood but I will keep this in mind. The only place I need a table right now is in the loft, maybe a 3x3 table
Im asking every channel to entreat and ask for an INTERVIEW with TRUMP!!! If every Grass Roots Journalist contacts him, he could get so much more info out! Save WE THE PEOPLE

Yes, I love oak trees!
I’ll definitely keep some new ones protected to grow
I love how you talk about the trees we only have 5 acres but the trees make the property and are so special. Sending love
Thank you!

His area is more mountainous but we are about an hour drive from his area

I hope you weren’t affected badly!
🙏🏼
Thank you so much! If you’re in the Smoky Mountains, I hope you’re doing OK!
Ask Siri what caused the hurricane..YOUR JAW WILL DROP...
She's giving answers from wikipedia.
How bizarre, he's outside coveting his "stuff" instead of distancing themselves from the storm.
lol!!
I don’t have to covet my stuff because I already own it
Where would I run? Get in a car and hope to survive?

take the 100 yr old oak tree and make a table out of it

Dude, the NHC warned you for days it was going to be this bad.
Not really in our area.
Last I saw it was going to be further west.
It was wild here but not as bad as Asheville
