The weather has been so bad this summer. Been getting a few nice natives the last couple of weeks, but they were a bit slow to wake up. The cold rain flushes every few days shut down any real patterns.

It's pretty cool down near the beach. The missus and I went for a walk at Sandon Point the other day and there were a couple of old ducks sitting in the shade enjoying the cool breeze. All you need is an esky with some cold drinks and sandwiches and a fold up chair.

Amazing video mate. You've recommended lots of lures in your summary. However, would you mind sharing your goto setup like the the hook, sinker, weight and exact soft plastic lure you were using. I havent had much luck with plastics lately. Thanks.
Setup-wise , a 1-3kg or 2-4kg rod in the 7 foot length with a 1000 or 2000 is my preferred reel size (although people like 2500). I'll see if I can do a comprehensive video on that question one day but at least in this video it was a Zman prawn in midnight oil with a 1/16oz #2 jighead

Awesome vid as usual shroom. Fished that spot myself a few times. Just wondering how u decide when to go for a fish? Do you go whenever u can or do u look at tides/time etc
Thanks a lot, usually I just go whenever I can and that's why it doesn't look particularly appealing in the video. Try to fish high tides in general and the rest comes from learning the nuances of the spot

Thanks Peter, I need to have an easier week for getting content I am running dry! As far as I know, they do not but their bait junkie plastics come pre-infused with their own shrimp scent I think it is.

As for the scent, I knew it was pre scented, it's a shame they don't make a scent tube but perhaps it might not be worth it for them as some many people have become accustom to the few big names in Aus. s factor and make sure ur jighead is light so you can target a variety of species. i’m sure the legend himself has better to say
Try to glide them or at least make the hops way less aggressive to mimic a prawn. Seems to work much better that way!

Thanks JIm, I fish there on occasion, usually tougher there at night as people are fishing across-wise on the bridge so I haven't had success as of yet but I haven't stopped trying. ONe of these nights it'll happen!

I pretty much only fish at night with bait, never tried with lures. Have you ever fished lures in the pitch black, how do you go if you do?
I caught bream and almost lost an eye. Many years ago mate was inexperienced and snagged up and didn't consider everyone standing next to him and tried it bust it off and it flew into my eye but for some unknown reason I blinked at that moment in complete darkness lol

Yep, if I was to get a combo as a starter lure (first combo etc) one like the way I did back in the day I'd get something like a TD hyper and a Shimano sienna
Get an anarchy 2-4 kg rod with a stradic fl reel, this combo will last you for years.
