My favourite was Greece, I usually forget about them being so bad ass and literally holding against the whole Italian army. They’re definitely underrated and overlooked by the other nations of the allies
I’m Greek, and I’ve heard stories of my family about my great grandfather and during the battle of Crete when the Germans were paratrooping he stole one of they’re MP40’s and told my grandfather after the war “Use this when the Turks come.”
2:19- That's not a .50 cal. That's a M1919 .30-06 Medium Machine Gun; that gun could've been the oldest machine gun used by the US Military had they not pulled it from service after Vietnam
My dad new a guy who was in the RAF during ww2. After the war he won a proffesional golf tournament in Germany and when the German press interviewed him they asked if he had been to Germany before? He responded (and I quote) “only at night”.
12:57 that is not greek uniform, that is 100% polish minifig, On collar you have patches called „Patka” wz.36. Not to mention legs of the minifig are the same as previous one
8:10 the lego ww2 minifigure is called a Gurkha.Gurkhas are ruthless meaning they feared no enemy soldier and were trained in jungle combat and the weapon that the Gurkha has is called the Kukri a Nepalese sword
7:50 that's a kukri knife, famous for its use by the Gurkhas. Just some quick lore behind it, there is a very specific rule with the kukri where it must shed blood before it is re sheathed. That means if it's drawn because a comrade wants to see it, they'd have to prick their own thumbs and draw a drop of blood to be able to put it back in its sheathe. Honestly mad fascinating
I would definitely say my favorite is the Chinese armies(both Communist and Nationalist), they were probably the earliest to participate in the war(Japanese military started their invasion of northeastern China in 1931), and even with extremely inferior equipment(the nationalists could have avoided this disadvantage but alas), they basically drowned the Imperial Japanese Army, probably the cruelest and most fanatical faction even to the Axis standard in WWII in a "mighty Ocean of people's war" and ruined their economy so hard the Japanese literally had to bite the dragon in the balls with the attack on pearl harbour. Also, if you want to find the illegal lego military things, the Chinese online shopping sites would be a great choice.
I think the Japanese zeros were more fearless and then the RAF but then again I’ve read more Pacific war books from World War II opposed to what was going on in Britain
My favourite has to be the British army because of how they fought in some shape or form from the start to the end of the war. Also how they were the first to introduce a battle dress uniform
I personally love the French army, because 1. You can make a lot of jokes about them 2. They are the best in capitulatives 3.the uniforms are fire Nevertheless, I also love the Germans because they had the best technology, but you can't talk well about the Austrian painter and the war crimes👎🏻
I know a lot of people already said this but, my favorite army was probably Greece because they fought extremely well against the Italians and helped the allies win the war.
The allied countries in WWII were Poland, china, belgium,U.S,UK,Canada,Union Soviet socialist republics,France,Australia, denmark,Greece, Norway,Netherlands,New Zealand, south Africa & Yugoslavia
Hello I think the Soviet union and Germany have good uniforms but I'm prefer germans because of their unique camos and the dark grey scheme and i like their weaponry
Germany had my favourite army of WW2 but, unfortunately, they lacked on personnel and material. They had great weapons and vehicles, as well as profesional soldiers. I think one of the reasons why they lost was that they opened to many fronts.
Their weapons were crazy. 25 bullets a second from mg42. Also with the 262 first fighter jet in the world, the reason they lost is cuz they had the blueprints and plans for the 262 a while before it was actually introduced. They just decided not to use it till the end of the war.
My favorite would be France, as I have read many books about the French defense of their homeland. The British sent their own B.E.F, but lets be honest they didn't do much and were beaten back severely by the Germans. I admire the French grit and determination and shown by an example in Dunkirk (the film. In the beginnning, we see the British soldier pass by a French machine gun mount, obviously showing them preparing for their last stand. Viewers can also observe the expression on the French soldiers' faces, them knowing that they're fighting for basically no reason as the French government was on the brink of collapse and the British were already running back to Britain. They had no plans of going to Britain, (not that many Brits offered to them that) and rather stayed and fought. The situation was dire, but they stood strong and fought for their homeland. I also admire their partisans and their role in the D-Day landings. They severed many crucial railroads and communiqe, preventing the deployment of German tanks to Normandy, a move if let happened, would have likely drove the soldiers of Operation Overlord back into the sea,(and made another Dunkirk). Also, its colonies pledged their support of a Free France, showing its positive influence on them. The French did do basically nothing during the invasion of Poland, but its geography screwed them over, as if Britain wasn't an isle and was connected to the European mainland, it likely would have fell as well. Their resistance bascially was their contribution to the war, but it definitely played its roles in ending the third reich.I also found their uniforms very unique and interesting. :)
Brits, might be biased, my great uncle was an airman on a lancaster bomber, unfortunately he was shot down above the netherlands by german forces, but the brits were there from the start to end. Thanks america for helping us out, and France, your welcome 😊
for me its gotta be the french because of how hard the french rear gaurd at dunkirk fought to protect their allies and it must have been hard to endure watching all the british soldiers evacuated first at dunkirk, also the french resistance was so good they are the symbol of resistance in modern times. thier uniforms are also badass
A list of every army he missed: -Thailand: A lesser-known power, Thailand joined the Axis against the UK and US in 1942. -Bulgaria: Basically as useless as Hungarian and Romanian troops. -Luxembourg: Also pretty useless. one of many German speed bumps. -Norway: Literally a speed bump between Germany and Swedish Iron Ore -Czechoslovakia: Also a German speed bump. -The Netherlands: These guys were one of the few Allies to see combat on both fronts, given their East Indies Army. -Ethiopia: It's a grey area considering they were invaded 4 years before WW2 started, but in 1940 they were recognized by the UK. -Yugoslavia: The last German speed bump on this list. -The Philippines: The Japanese speed bump. -Canada: This felt illegal to want all the Commonwealth representation yet leave out and not even mention Canada. -South Africa: They were, like Australia and New Zealand, independent dominions of the British. -Brazil: The Brazilian Expeditionary Force basically didn't exist. -Mongolia: Also did not exist during the war with how little they contributed. -Mexico: Was literally there with the allies to not have another Mexican-American war. -Denmark: Another speed bump for Germany to run over (i lied this is the actual last one on the list)
I even built a Qserf in Minecraft edition edition with a total of 8 evacuation bunkers, lots of sectors along with a hospital even though it is on a floating island because it was a survival world before the idea of nuclear research facilitiy came, the floating island was originally remaints of a pillager outpost when I used command blocks to spawn 100 blocks of tnt, plus instead of filling up the tnt aftermath with blocks I built a obsidian sarcophagus, though the version I built it on was Minecraft education 1.17-1.19, it’s still a work in progress, total of 14 megaupdates, I did all of the building and scripting by command blocks for the announcement system, all of this was done during my classes at schoo while I should be working on my assignments and not on Minecraft all the time
i may be a bit biased but i love the polish army not only did they have nice uniforms but all things considered they put up a good fight for their under equipped army and the fact that the allies were to slow to give support to the poles leaving them basically done for but also because even after the invasion was successful the polish resistance continued fighting edit: i also feel like they are overlooked
Just a little correction. The fighting at Tobruk was predominantly fought by Australians until resupply was available. Also The Maori and New Zealanders did not fight in the British army, they fought in the New Zealand army, just as Australians fought in the Australian army. We had both become independent by that stage just like Canada and we fought as part of the commonwealth, not the British.
My favorite army is the British, I love their helmets and the African campaign as well as the Normandy campaign are my two favorites. Love the content keep it up ❤👍🏻
The Australian army was my favourite, because they had to endure the Japanese just as much as the U.S.A and the British, but aren’t recognised as much for it

I think Belgium, mainly because my great grandfather was lieutenant in the Belgian army during the war. He was taken as prisoner in Germany but escaped and ran back home...But without this familial history, maybe the Greeks because they were a good army.
honestly my favorite army in ww2 is gotta be the Philippine army, we got screwed over by the Japanese and had to endure alot, but eventually the guerrilla forces helped take back the Philippines (back when the guerrillas weren't terrorists)
I think Greek was really cool because they beat italys army and I didn’t even know they fought!
Greeks

The Gurkha Knife is a Kukri they are trained to use it they are well renowned in the British army for their loyalty and bravery in battle.
2:20 probably a 30 cal if he would be carrying it with him

sucks not seeing Canadian Forces represented. Those Chinese uniforms look really good though.
And they were one of three major nations taking Normandy
I couldn't find any canadians :( Im doing a WW1 vid soon and will make Canada for sure then
@@DaleyBricks i get minifigs not being made, we usually get lumped in with the US and British. Love the vid still and look forward to the WW1 vid.
When are you planning on getting that out?
My favorite was the Greece army because they were so powerful. Even though most thought other wise.
The Polish army as they could hold up against Germany and the soviets although they were defeated they put up a good resistance
My favorite is The Greeks because they fought the whole Italian army and they were one of the smallest countries. They didn't get captured.
@daleybricks do you know where to get the Greek soldiers from I've been searching for months😢
8:50 the pouch set is completely incorrect, those pouches were used by the light horse in around ww1
The red army was the best
😊
I'm not sure if the Polish Resistance counted as an army in ww2, but that would be my favorite force in the Second World War.
My favourite has to be the British army because of how they fought in some shape or form from the start to the end of the war. Also how they were the first to introduce a battle dress uniform
I think you should find an SAS version of the commando because I thing they would like pretty cool!
Interesting idea, just that Greek uniform is actually Polish. I've seen it on TMC.
