- We are Boarding the Disney Magic Cruise ship for the very first time. Disney Magic is Disney Cruise line's Oldest and smallest Cruise ship. I guess you can say the Disney Magic was the tester for Disney. This first cruise on the Disney Magic will be taking us to Disney's New island location, Lookout Cay at light house point. Lookout cay at lighthouse point is a new destination created by Disney and the Disney Magic Cruise Ship will be the first one there to visit it. Come with us as we board our first Disney cruise of 2024 on the Disney Magic.

You asked about the carpet. The direction of the compass rose on the carpet shows you where the front of the ship is.
The top of the stars point forward ship. You don’t have to go to Cabanas when you embark, you can go to one of MDRs for a meal. We usually do this because it’s so much more relaxing than the busy buffet after boarding. 😊
This tip right here is the best...they also have a different menu from any other day!
When I saw Ben and David's vid on Lookout Cay and they said they were the first people there also, I just knew you were on the same ship! How cool 😎

My husband would LOVE your shirt! He doesn’t watch Pokemon, but he likes the characters and collects the cards and merch. I’m excited to see y’all’s perspective on this trip as non-Disney adults. Some of my fav RUclipsrs, Molly, Allan and Max(Mammoth club), and Kira and Peter(Ordinary Adventures) all are admittedly Disney adults. I enjoy their visits and experiences and I like Disney but don’t consider myself a DA. ❤

Not all the of the ship is out dated. The furniture is definitely out dated. The coach in our room was so old. My mother sank in it. Change your old coaches Disney.
I feel like Disney just needs to shorten the name to Lookout Cay and drop the lighthouse pointe part of the name. Also you should look at what the atrium originally looked like. The chandelier used to be extremely colorful and intricate, but I understand that it was a nightmare when it came to maintenance
You can call it whatever you want. Disney may have legal requirements from the lease agreement with the Bahamian government on what they call it (kind of how Aulani has to be called "Aulani, A Disney Resort and Spa, Hawaii").
I've never been a big Disney enthusiast but had an absolutely magical time on a Disney cruise 10 years ago. Well worth the cost. ❤
The cost 10 years ago? It was probably dirt cheap compared to now lol

The lottery comment about which decks have A/C 😅. I was on the sailing right before. I do the no elevator challenge and you can literally feel the difference going from deck to deck. Deck 6 (my deck ) was the coldest. Other than that a fantastic trip!

As for the muster drill, the ship is old. 1998! I think that is why they want to see everyone in person and figure those traveling will be better for seeing everything up close and personal! Looks like it doesn’t take but a few minutes!😊
We found out they do it on all Disney ships, new and old. Unfortunately during the pandemic, they had a much simpler process for muster
@@TravelSpreeOfficial I think Disney understands that when panic sets in, especially with so many young children, having people physically experience a small taste of the "chaos" of an emergency may be helpful.

Seen lot people travel blog doing new location. Herd Disney ship and cruise 🛳 hard to beat. Herd their kind priced up.

There are a lot of things I hate about the Disney company but when it comes to their cruise ships, I really enjoy them. The Magic while being very old by cruise standards, is kept in great shape. The same with her sister ship, the Wonder that is only a few years younger.
The split bathroom isn't for all the DCL rooms. The very basic rooms with no window or balcony don't all have a split design.
