Must be luck that you just uploaded this and I also just purchased it "sight unheard". Appreciate the detailed review, can't wait to delve into this pedal more myself. Great sound with your amp!
That sounds like awesome luck, could we say providence? have fun with the pedal!
Ive that pedal and ive only liked it two ways. 1st is set the vol however, set the tone at 1030ish and the drive about 9 and use it to kick the high gain channel on the amp into sonic bliss. The 2nd way i like this pedal is with a passive P bass with a compressor before it. Set the tone around 9 and drive about 8 and vol to taste.
would you say that the existence of those two uses for you, while very specific, make the pedal valuable?
@@kaleidoscopeschool well, yes, because to me ive found a use for it so I dont feel like I wasted money and can enjoy the pedal in some fashion. And I suppose the "settings" I mentioned will very between type of amp and pickups/guitar being used... and room size of course. No one hardly talks about the effects of a rooms shape and size when dealing with equipment. Im off topic, sorry, but yes, I like the pedal more these days. Sometimes it takes me a few months or longer to really appreciate pedals. Part of the journey I suppose....
@@jams4218 it's definitely part of the journey. I sometimes buy pedals that I initially struggle to understand because I figure they will challenge me, good example being the Pigtronix Philosophy King. Crazy beast
@@kaleidoscopeschool i just bought a Keeley Caverns a few days ago. BUT between work and kids Ive only been able to spend about 2hrs with it but so far its a really 😎 pedal and im loving it. I need to put more time into it as there are potentially a ton of sounds and tones in that one! 🤔
Had to leave. 2 and a half minutes in, you only staccato chords. Can’t hear it right.
that's a fair critique and I'll try to keep that in mind for future demos
