Cheese balls! I used to love cheese balls. They are not served out west like they were in the Midwest I’ll have to try these. My favorite is still the old dried beef one, my Mom made every Christmas. 💕
These look delicious. I'm going to try them for New Year. Love cheese balls. We always make a cheese ball of cream cheese, chopped black olives, green onions and diced green chiles. Then we roll it in finely chopped parsley and cilantro. The longer the cream cheese mixture sits the better. We have also made one with a mixture of cream cheese, goat cheese with a bit of cream, black pepper, dried cranberries and dill then roll it in very finely chopped almonds. Cheese balls are one of those recipes that can be adapted to any flavor. Mix the cream cheese with ricotta, mozzarella and chopped sundried tomatoes. Roll it in chopped nuts mixed with a bit of parmesan. These make great gifts. Make three flavors and roll into 3" balls or disks, package them with crackers and some olives for a great hostess gift. Oh man, now I have to make one of these balls. Can't wait until New Year!
A life changing kitchen gadget I just got, and love is the Prep Solutions microwaveable grill from Amazon. It turns out perfect, crispy bacon and there is no mess on my stove top to clean! My husband is a bacon snob and it has to be crunchy, not greasy and done fast. When you are done, you just rinse off and put in the microwave. I also work for a hospital system and am up at 4:30am four days a week. I can pop in 3 slices of bacon and it’s done perfectly in 2 3/4 minutes so I start out my day with a hot breakfast. Merry Christmas!
Thank you so much for the inspiration! I am having family over on Christmas Eve for potluck finger food and these will be great!! And the snowman dish is super cute! I love snowmen and have a collection :)
Yummmmmm! My 80 year old neighbor made this for us once but from the Kraft recipe. She worked in the Kraft kitchens as a recipe tester before kids. I bet there’s a good version of a cheese ball or log in your Plaid cookbook. Cheese anything is the best!
Yay for Murphy getting a treat! He loved it I'm sure. I love love love cheese balls. I love making them, eating them, sneaking bites of them. They're wonderful. I even love the platter you used to serve the cheese ball. Great video!
Thanks for sharing this Jen! I love to cook but I think it’s so easy to get in a rut and forget my love of cooking with little kids running around and of course their sometimes picky appetites. I love your videos and you keep inspiring me to remember my love for cooking. I would have never thought to make my own cheese ball but now I can’t wait to try it!
We made individual cheese balls on a pretzel sticks and they were delicious. Everyone likes cheese ball. Makes a great gift. Those turned out really good Jen. You could add a small cutting board and a spreader with it. I love it. That looks so pretty. Thank you Jen.
Thanks Jen for posting this awesome vlog!! Im going to make both for my Christmas party Im so excited! I thought they were too hard to make ! ❤ oh, what wine would you recommend having? Jw would you consider doing a vlogmas with a wine and cheese board? Share what wines go good with certain cheeses? I want to have a platter for the party but have zero clue what wines/cheeses would pair! Thanks!
Both of these sound so good! Love that you did everything with the food processor including shredding the cheese. I got the grater attachment for my KitchenAid so I grate my cheese with that and mixed every thing in it.
These look so good! Bacon on the classic cheese ball would also be so good! Also, my daughter loves your intro music, she dances every time it come on, lol
I straight up giggle every time I thin slice ALL those potatoes for scalloped potatoes or ALL those onions for dehydrating or grate ALL that cheese for everything in seconds with my beloved Cuisinart food processor. My grown daughters think I am hilarious (but I well remember trying to slice and grate all that). Thanks for sharing these great cheese ball recipes.
Fantastic! As you suggsted, I'm thinking a basket with cheeseball, bottle of wine, gourmet crackers, spreader, maybe even movie for a couple staying in...Oh yeah!
I love shredding my own cheese in my KitchenAid Food Processor. I have to admit Jen most times I am lazy and buy pre shredded, no excesses I know. That is one of my New Years resolutions for 2020! Thanks for the great recipes!
Cheese ball!s! I haven’t thought about those in years and this will be perfect for the cookie exchange I’m attending next week. Thanks for giving me a new recipe to try!
Oh my gosh....I want a bite so badly...still on liquids till the 24th...but you better believe I will make one of these....I get to eat fish on Christmas Eve...Tuna Salad sounds so darn good!!!!!
I was just thinking to myself, “I should make these for little gifts!” and you suggested the same. I don’t know why I’ve never made a cheeseball, but that is about to change. Would love to hear if the bacon ranch was as good as it sounds!
This puts my little crank cheese grater to shame lol 😂 love anything with spice girl this looks delicious!! I’m lucky no one in my family is allergic to nuts lol 😂 Bacon dreams 🙌🥓
These look delicious. You mentioned it's great gifts, I make a cheese ball with Velvetta grated cheese, chopped bell pepper and green onion, drained crush pineapple, and pecans that's a hit with family and friends. I often make the cheese ball and give a bottle of sparkling cider with some type of speciality crackers. Love your vlogmas Jen.
Do you think it would turn out good if I used to pre shredded cheese and a stand mixer as I don't have a food processor? BTW loving your of log miss videos I could get used to a video every day from you lol
Gorgeous....I have made the classic cheese ball and rolled it in chili powder....i also make one with cream cheese, green onion and ham...omw....so so good....have a fantastic day Jen...btw you look amazing in red💞💞😃
Thank you so much for sharing this wonderful video! I absolutely love to cook and over the years have come to really dislike the prepackaged shredded cheese....the consistency when melting it for different recipes just isn’t what I want. So I have been hand cutting and shredding block cheese and it is a pain! Never, ever thought of a food processor! It’s now on my Christmas list....thank you!
I have a food processor attachement to my kenwood stand mixer, but the lid isn’t really tight fittin so when I make something with flour or powdered sugar it will spill out the top. How is this one? Have you ever had any problems with this one?
Thanks for the recipe. I am making it right now for Christmas. It is so simple and easy to follow and very delicious 😋
Cheese balls! I used to love cheese balls. They are not served out west like they were in the Midwest I’ll have to try these. My favorite is still the old dried beef one, my Mom made every Christmas. 💕

Hey Jen
You are making me hungry 😃😃😃
They both look yummy. Would be great for watching football games. Have a great weekend.
Yes, shredding your own cheese tastes better, has less preservatives, and cheaper! Already pinned them. Thanks & Blessings ~Sidney
I love these recipes. Thank you
Ok now I really want a food processor.
Me too!! I think it will be a gift from me to me!!
Is that one tablespoon or teaspoon of Worcestershire sauce?
I love shredding cheese in the food processor....but I hate having to clean the crevices of the processor afterwards :/
I have a food processor attachement to my kenwood stand mixer, but the lid isn’t really tight fittin so when I make something with flour or powdered sugar it will spill out the top. How is this one? Have you ever had any problems with this one?
No problems!
🎊
Hi Jen! Love your channel. Do you happen to know what happened to Shellys Home Life channel? Any idea why she decided to shut her channel down?
Our cream cheese is expensive here here in South Africa tho you Guna pay from R35 to R45 serving so depend on makes !!
Murphy also loves cheese
How much ranch for recipe please..? Thanks for recipes. I subscribed🤠
Murphy’s cracking me up. His nose in camera view. 😍

Didn't see the ranch going in
I love the gift idea! I plan to put one in my neighbor’s Christmas treat bags.
If Murphy doesn’t watch out...he’s going to lose his nose when you are opening that cheese! Haha! My dogs are the same!
Murphy got a win!
