This was an excellent movie, I was truly terrified and that means it was a damn good movie. You can tell by the behind the scenes that the passion in making this movie was there, they were all in good spirits which makes for a good movie.
Not only a great addition to the Evil Dead franchise but one of the better horror movies released in recent years. Still, like the rest of the series, it was more gory than scary.

I can handle some gore, but there were times in this movie where I got squeamish and had to turn away. Grated cheese, anyone?

The story reminded me of the original where you had five people put in that cabin and then Sam Rami threw everything but the kitchen sink at them! Alyssa Sutherland is a superstar as far as I'm concerned. You could tell they all enjoyed making this movie. The comradery really shown through. Kudos to all involved!

The movie was terrifying! My Emetophobia couldn't cope with most of the movie, (for me it's a one-time watch film) the scares were intense and I wanted to get incense and meditate throughout the whole movie! I'm surprised I don't have nightmares from it! Truly a great movie, but for about 50% of it I couldn't watch due to my phobia...
i liked it overall, one niggle i have though, is that they didnt use contact lenses on Ellie, they used cgi to create her demonic eyes and it looked absolutely amazing, they also looked great on the deadite in the beginning, however on the other deadites especially brigitte they were using contact lenses and you could clearly see how inferior it looked in comparision
A feature like this would’ve been awesome on the bluray/4K! It was a missed opportunity to not include any bonus features on the discs. Great stuff guys!

It was a really neat film! I really enjoyed the colors and shots of every scene. Wasn't really so much scary as it was gory, it was very gory but it was a lot of fun! Fantastic actors.
I was at planet fitness on the treadmill today, and I just looked up to see this movie playing on one of the channels. It was the last part, where she gets chased by the dead person who rose up from under the ground. The part that made me flinch. The most was when she had her leg cut into. Ouch!!
I hope that there is a part 2 of this movie, I enjoyed the story line, as a horror fan this was a really good film I thoroughly enjoyed it, and I haven't seen much horror movies in a very long time other than the Nun and IT with Pennywise this was another big one for me I loved it, and all the actors did a fantastic job, it was graphic, good storyline, solid acting, bloody and demonic which was all good ingredients for a powerhouse horror movie it was really kool man.

The movie was pretty good but there were several blunders. The one that stuck out for me the most was Ellie's right leg and left arm were shot off but when she was on top of the wood chipper, her right arm is missing, not her left. Also if there wasn't any power then how did the solder gun work ? There was a few others too....but I still enjoyed the movie
I didnt like the eyeball part, I mean I get the reference, but I guess it just felt off. Definition of a homage that was ehh, BUT I did like the setup to that though, when she jumped on the neighbor and after a struggle and missed bites, she raged into biting.

Hell, I think it was scary even though they did have fun! But scary in a good and fun to watch way!
The gore in this movie was genuinely so upsetting. It was so creative and just really elevated the body horror.
