I have one and I am floored at how well it plays. The mesh head snare it bang on, the toms SOUND different with lighter hits (not just the same sound but quieter), the cymbals are chokeable and the hi hats are articulate, not just on and off.
I recommend! Beats my DTXplorer by miles while being way way cheaper.
Damn, that sounds good. I'm amazed how quiet this set is when used with headsets or volume turned down. Plus it doesn't thrash around like other "inexpensive" sets. I want one for the kids! Nice review guys!

Great video. I appreciate that you show all other accessories that can go with it. The KT10 pedal is nice, but it is very pricey.

The fact you can mix the original pedal with the KT-10 to get a double kick made me buy this kit.

mickelboy182 From recollection the KT-10 comes with a cable, so you don't need to buy an extra one. The existing pedal goes into the KT-10, & the KT-10 connects to the module.
I've got two videos on my channel using the two kick pedals together.

what monitor are you using? Would have been helpful to include that info in the description paragraph. (especially for those that are looking to gift the kit to someone an are clueless.. ) thank you!
Hi James, We just grabbed the nearest powered speaker we could find, I believe it is a QSC. When you hear the drum parts you are hearing it direct into the interface and so the monitor does not feature too much.

could you use this kit as a midi controller to trigger drum sounds on a computer from something like ez drummer?
Hi, Yep is has USB Midi so will work great for that.

@@andertons i've done that today and it does get the MIDI Signal, but there is no Sound coming out of my Scarlett interface through the headphones..
@@decaenofficial You need to hook up some virtual instruments like EZdrummer or FXPansion for the drum sounds.
Hello, I just picked out this model, T1kV V-drum kit, as a gift for 15 years of service with my employer. It should arrive next week. Can you tell me does it come with drumsticks? In all of the videos I've watched about setting it up, none seemed to have pulled out sticks from the box. Thanks. I can't wait!!

I have a question about a Roland td 1KV drum system, my snare is weaker than all the other instruments .. is there an option to increase it?
Great video, you guys have basically answered all my questions but 1. Given the TD-1K comes with the same pad as the toms for the snare and this video shows the upgrade to the PDX-8 snare pad, my question is ... Can I do rim shots and specially CROSS STICK with the PDX-8 pad ? and also, does the Sound Module included supports them with the snare update?

Andertons Music Co can any of the td series vkits (specifically the TD 11) be programmed to trigger a sample other than that of a drum sound for instance could I use it alongside of an acoustic drum kit and use it as sort of a sample / trigger pad to add textures or ambience to a song in a live band situation, my friend and I have been contemplating this usage and I've been wondering if we have to use a laptop or if we can just utilize a USB thumb drive to load our samples into the module for triggering, in lieu of having another person to play said samples and ambience
Depends on the brain. I think with the td-20 and up you can upload samples via usb
All I can do is stare at the ML-3s in the background. Video soon, I'm hoping! (other than Rob's tone demo.)

Yeah you can get a kd 9 bass pad and a double kick pedal and boom you got 2 kicks

No, it doesn't do that. I've just bought it, sincerely its an amazing drum BUT having not the cross stick sound was disappointing, even though sounds and feel pretty good.

Vladimir Iliev I had Yamaha. Now I have Roland TD 25KV. Roland is easier to play. I know my Roland is much better than that or dtx, but I think Roland is better

Roland is so far ahead in Electro Drums since Decades. No other sounds better in my opinion

Because it's a kit aimed more at beginners and newcomers to digital kits. It's more accurate in my opinion to see a real demo of someone with little to no experience.
