The pusha T thing is wild. Dude dropped a diss track on himself. It’s weird too because he’s got such a good track record, he’s an absolute legend. And from what I know, he didn’t even really come up with the “I’m lovin it” jingle, he was just part of the original track.

It’s amusing how Americans are so alienated to living with inflation… As a brazilian i see inflation rising on a daily and just say okay I guess. If you go learn about brazilian history, the period after the military dictatorship, there was rampant inflation, people would buy stuff the day they receive their salaries bc if they waited as much as a week, the money would become worthless. Because of that most of the families in Brazil grew thick when it comes to inflation, it’s just something we became used to living with.
I think that Americans are worried because they don’t get raises to compensate for inflation. My mother, for example, has only gotten a 1% pay increase in the last 10 years
@@goatsntoast I mean, who said Brazilians get raises? In 2021 the United States had 7% increase in the inflation indicator, that is a historical high, you haven’t had that in 40 years. Brazil in the last 5 years had 2 years that had a 10% increase, and since 1999, we had 7 years that had at least 7,60%, with the highest being 12,53% in 2002. So yeah, Americans should stop panicking, USA’s economy is one of the strongest economies in the world, a small increase In interest rates won’t bankrupt a country. And about the wages thing, if you are going to actually compare, the normal wages here are already way worse than in America, and we have to deal with way more inflation, yeah Brazil economy is kinda shit looking that way, but the point is, USA is going to be fine, and people should stop complaining and start thinking straight, bc the only reason the government doesn’t increase the interest rates is because they think they won’t get re-elected if they do, and they think that because people are too frisky when it comes to inflation and think it is a double edged sword, or you get fucked by it, or you get fucked by it’s solutions, and that is not the case at all. There is only one edge, that is hyperinflation, an example of that is from 1986 to 1989, in Brazil, that the stacked inflation rate got to 107492%, yeah, if the government don’t raise interest rates, then you won be worrying about raises for a 7% inflation lol, and then you can start panicking.

Well, it’s weird to say Americans are alienated from living with inflation. Americans have been living with inflation for decades. I mean most peoples grandparents or great grandparents went through the Great Depression. I think you are looking from an outside perspective but don’t really understand what’s going on. The reason Americans aren’t happy with inflation as it currently stands is because it’s been over a decade since any legislation centering around minimum wages has been discussed, and any time it is the figures are always a decade out of date. A great example of this is the $15/hr wage that people have been fighting for since the 1990’s. Americans are also going through a housing crisis where people can’t buy homes for several reasons. Benefits for workers in the United States are constantly under attack and The United States provides the least social safety nets of any first world country. Also let’s not forget about oligarchs who horde wealth and then shrink the middle class with trickle down economics. So all of that, plus inflation, is the problem with United States citizens right now. Inflation is just the new things republicans are trying to spin off of to win elections by scaring a typically ignorant American perspective. They do that with whatever issue presents itself. Vaccines, homosexual rights, global warming, or the economy.
Another good point is that the United States economy has always been more volatile with changes. The 2008 recession is a great example of that. The banks tried to mess with interest and really killed the economy.

Yeah I don’t know how many people know the full lore but he and his brother split 1 million dollars for writing a jingle McDonalds is still using. It’s pretty funny and I don’t think it undercuts his credibility in any way, it’s completely understandable.

Elden ring has done something to me that I haven’t done with any other game. I’ve been taking the game really slowly, just enjoying me time trying to find everything in each zone, just slowly progressing and it feels good. I play once every like 2-3 days and it feels good

Companies tend to hire at a hire increas then wage increase.
So if u work for a place for 2 years your % gain is lower then the % gain you would get switching jobs. This is more for those minimum pay shitty jobs

well actually about that spiral. If you pass legislation for minimum wage that is based on local costs of living it forces companies to either raise wages or decrease prices. most companies are profiting way more than raising wages for employees would cost

I feel like the Sonic movie and Arcane are really going to mark a change in the quality of traditional media based off of video game IP improving in quality. Before it seemed like the problem was just a lack of respect for the IP from Hollywood because frankly they didn't have to give a shit, they could just make a movie vaguely resembling the IP and make a quick buck, and because the video game companies were much smaller, they just had to take it. The director of the orginal Mario movie literally said he wanted his version of the Mario story to become the true Mario story and have the games just be a distorted view of it. But as Video Games continue to eat the market, Hollywood is increasingly going to have to roles reversed on them and be forced to listen to what the IP holders are telling them. That is if they even go to Hollywood and don't increasingly start making tradional media departments for their IPs

I don't see why they would block Blizzard and Micro soft. Blizzard is a game maker and there is many other big game devs / publishers out there. It's not like their buying Nintendo or Sony.
I'm no expert, but firstly, they haven't blocked them as of now; they only want to look into the deal.
This merger is the biggest merger to ever be announced in video game industry's history, and could really affect how exclusives work and could drown Sony with this deal. Microsoft also recently bought Bethesda, and the potential repercussions here are the same, the difference being it actually went through. This is my take on it, that if Microsoft purchases a SECOND massive publisher, a monopoly on AAA games could very well begin.

Uncharted wasn't good but it was fun at least to me. I mean I didn't expect a good film to come out of Uncharted but I do believe they had the spirit of the games in it. And I believe that it's better to have a film that takes creative liberties versus a film that has followed the game word by word. That's just my opinion and you are free to disagree.
