Surprised at the positive review. The Fox Transfer came on my 2022 Scott Patron Tuned. It is literally the only component that has been a continuous problem. It sticks initially and when it does extend it does not come out fully. I have taken it to two bike shops and both said this was a very undependable component for others. They lubed it but performance did not improve.

I had the same issue, 2 rebuilts in less than one year. Really disappointed, used to have a OneUp, much more reliable!

I have been reading tons of other reviews with exact same issues, and even though they are on sale for $159 at jensons I will be passing on it . But that gold is a beauty

The seat clamp alone makes this post the best.
I hate seat clamps, and found that they are always hard to adjust and its nice to see something different.

If you have Fox Factory suspension on your mtb it's sacrilegious to run any other dropper.

What saddle is on that bike?

The Fox dropper will start to return slower and not go back to the top after about a year. Google it and you'll see it's known problem. $100+ rebuild cost from Fox.

Dropper posts, like any moving part on your bike, need occasional maintenance to keep them performing at their best. Fox recommends a regular service every 125 Hours/Yearly, or whichever comes first.

@@competitivecyclist This one often has issues unrelated to use. Mine has been sticky and struggles to move at times since I took it out of the box (even after cleaning and greasing). My bike yoke revive has been in use for over a year now and is still running better than my fox dropper..

@@competitivecyclistyour response is interesting since you say in the video 'it'll lasts for years and you don't have to touch it."
