@@ethanrevitch yeah, my point was OneUp decided to go the way of the majority of dropper posts on the market (disposable cartridge) while Fox has taken a page out of OneUp’s playbook and gone with an adjustable and rebuildable air chamber.
The performance elite Transfer is right inline price wise with the OneUp! I do think some of the more robust brass fittings in the Fox make it an interesting competitor to the OneUp posts! No denying OneUp beat everyone to the punch with their droppers but I think we'll see some people catching up!
The new seat clamp on it looks heck of alot better! I have a brand new transfer on my 2024 emtb think it's the 2023 version sticks alot when sat for a day or so always needs to be pumped a few times to stay right
So, how do I tell if it's a 2025 Fox Factory Transfer? I ask as I have a three-month-old Pivot 429 (purchased Aug 2024) with a Fox Factory Transfer dropper and it's already sticking (it's now Oct 2024). I've removed the collar and lubed it several times (that helps for about a 90-minute ride), but it goes back to sticking.
Checking your serial number will help you determine if its the 2025 or the previous generation 2024. Also the collars on the 24 and 25 models are different. One thing to also potentially check is are you torquing down your seat collar too much. If you do that post can sometimes bind up. I would highly suggest taking your post into your local shop and they can truly help determine what is happening. If it is a warranty type situation FOX will get you sorted ASAP!
Well, now all there is to it is to see how this version will *_extend fully_* or not... The changes look good on paper but we all need real world data.
I've had five FOX Factory Transfer Dropper Posts on five different bikes, and all of them needed servicing within just a few weeks because they got stuck while extending. Even after servicing, the issue persisted on all of them, and it continues to be a problem. I’m confident I’m not the only one with this experience, and it seems to be a design flaw. Has Fox addressed this issue in the 2025 model? I've not, don't buy one!
Who are those people runing 30,9 seattubes? With top range Kashima coated droppers, mind you. I personally would rather have some 27,2 one with 120 travel.
Literally everything I've ever wanted in a dropper post. Hope they're as reliable as they claim.
Lol it’s Called Oneup
Woah, I forgot how far ahead One Up was
Except that One Up has decided to ditch the adjustable air chamber and still have a disposable air cartridge.
@@kevinxodemonth Fox still does a cartridge in their dampers.

Bout time you caught up to to one ups design lol.
Durable is definitely what we need, the last one was trash.
Seems like they've definitely remedied those previous blunders. Can't wait to get on one and give it a long term try!
@@FanatikBikeCothats what she said
Just got one in 210. Fingers crossed Fox’s claim on durability and reliability holds true.
Nice update but i see absolutely no reason not to buy a oneup post. Looks easier to service and is way cheaper.

@@FanatikBikeCo thanks for the response. In germany the Oneup v3 costs 300 while the fox performance costs 370.
If i checked correctly the stack height of the Oneup is also lower and it weighs around 90g less
Does Fox have easy DIY service and repair videos like OneUp and RockShox?
Simon Szoke has my go-to transfer service guide, check it out (tools required tho)

What about black bolts/screws in the seat clamps?!
Perhaps a new lever as well?
Otherwise a lot to like for me. I’ll certainly be buying.
Meanwhile Rockshox can’t even get a 200mm AXS Reverb to the market
they can´t even deal with the hydraulic version.
Right! I cant believe people still simp for them!
Noice. Any wireless versions coming?

Posts will be available later this summer and we certainly plan on putting it through its paces once its available!

The 2025 is a complete redesign over the old design. So yes they have absolutely addressed the previous issues.
Meh, not impressed with early 2020s tech being packaged as ‘new’ and 2x the cost 😂
All previous transfers were absolute dogs. Worse than Reverbs.
never gonna buy a fox product again after they started charged for what is supposed to be the free orange caps that came with a service
My yt izzo came with a "premium" fox transfer post... As they say, fool me once, I will never buy anything fox ever again.
Wow taka nowość, szkoda ze inne sztyce maja to od lat tylko biedny transfer wymagal dziwnych narzędzi do serwisu😂😂😂

The Transfer SL sounds like the right post for you!
@@FanatikBikeCo alas, they don't reach beyond mere 70 mm in this diameter.
Oh well, OneUp it is then
unless it can do wheelies for me i aint buying
