I like how clean you keep your saw shed and mill. I am hoping to purchase a Woodland mills HM126 in the next couple months, they seem like very popular mills.

Thank you! Good luck with your mill, I'll bet you really enjoy having your own sawmill!

Nice cants Tony. I really like using the Turbo 7 blade, it is a 739 good for high horsepower mills and fast smooth cutting. More bitterly cold weather coming our way, stay warm.

That looked like wind shake separation. Also I am surprised you have enough HP for those 747 blades.

Not shake, the stump was rotten. No problem with the HP, those 747's walk right through a log. Appreciate the comment!

You said the 747 Woodmizer blade is your choice for oak... what is it doing for you that others don't? I run the HM126 too and cut a lot of hardwood... looking for the best fast cut. Andy

Andy, up until last year we always used the basic Woodland Mills blades that came with the mill. Bought a ten pack and usd em' on everything..... soft and hardwoods. Then we got into some hickory and started having issues. The Woodland blades cut ok, but lost their edge pretty quickly. I talked to a local blade shop, told them what I was cutting and the hp of our mill, and they recommended the Turbo 747.
Our experience has been they cut faster, and stay sharp longer. Hope this helps!

Red oak will crack then split

As will most wood to a varying degree. I informed him of that possibility before I milled it. Thanks for the comment!
