This song if my memories serves me right, is about his late mother and how one day they'll be together again, and mourning those who never got to see her smile and kindness. A really deep song lyrically that most people miss on the first few listens but definitely grew more on me when I learned the meaning.
I've saw killswitch live 4 times with Howard on lead vocals. Far and away the best shows I've been too. Dropkick Murphys comes close but only because I was on stage for the last 2 songs! Right in front of the drummer. Also sang a verse of Kiss Me I'm Shitfaced with the singer came right to me and we shared the mic! Pretty sweet

His lyrics and his song writing and amazing live performances are 🔥 Killswitch Engage now have their original vocalist Jesse Leach who left the band after their first album and came back I believe in 2010 (may be wrong on year). On their latest album Atonement both Jesse and Howard came together to sing on “The Signal Fire” and it’s a great moment to see both members together, over the years there has been this debate of who’s better, but in their own right they both are KSE! Adam D = guitarist is mainly the backing vocals and he can clean and scream too. He’s also a producer of music and has produced albums for many bands, including his side band and project with vocalist Jesse from Killswitch 🍻
Eh, Killswitch was blowing up like crazy right when Jesse left abruptly in the middle of a tour. They're both amazing but AOJB is their best work by far.
Howard Jones is an incredible vocalist to be sure, I just feel like KSE's sound grew stale during his time as vocalist. Jesse's return seemed to have reinvigorated the entire band.
I feel like when Howard was in the band they had less of the hardcore roots, with Jesse they are always going hard. I Love both very much but I do prefer Jesse a small small bit

Underrated? By who? Because I hear about him a lot. I think its toxic with the whole Howard vs Jesse argument. Both are good in their own way.
