after the view point and you kept going up, im assuming you took a left up one of the side roads? If you continue strait instead there are some lakes and other view points
That's awesome! It's a beautiful spot. We didn't have a winch to move the boulders that someone else had moved. But it looks like someone from 4wdabc was up there after us to do it. 👍
I've been up here several times as a kid as a passenger. My brother-in-law used to service this site when it was active, but got shut down because it was just too much of an expense to operate all the mountain top sites. Since the fiber optic lines went through, all the microwave sites were deemed redundant and have been abandoned.
@@UnwindingRoads You're not wrong. When one company punches a road through, erects a tower and building, other telcos will often lease space for their own equipment.
lived there from 1960 to 1976 off number 7 highway......we would walk up there sometimes . There was no hang gliders launch then. The skys were less polluted . My father logged up there and drove cat and put in some roads. The view of harrison mills includes the old two room school now torn down by the c.p.r tacks near the harrison river and kilbys old general store and park.
Wow that's incredible! So much has changed in the short time we've been off roading. Can't imagine the changes you've seen. Thank you for sharing this.
So glad I found your channel love watching local off-roading videos!
Thank you Tarm Natawoot! Really working hard on making them better for you. Thanks for the sub and comment. Very motivating. 🤙
@@UnwindingRoads recently gave your instagram a follow too

@@UnwindingRoads Thanks man. Yeah looking forward to hitting the trails with you guys
Me met on the road just as you were leaving the WS launch area heading on up. I was wondering where you ended up going, and now I know :-)

Hey Teddy, you've been back I'm sure since this trip? There's a few really great views looking over Harrison out there.
I have been to the lake nearby but I haven't been back to the lookout. Will probably go again soon!

We thought it was an old cell tower up there. Very cool to get this bit of its history.
