the death of Slim Shady. We need to listen to front to back, and back to front. This is a great album. All the songs are linked to each other. You need to break down the lyrics, it links to the concept of the album. I think if you gave more listen. Then I think you would understand.

I have always been amazed, as a non-American rap listener, by the fact that Eminem is above all considered and renowned as a wordsmith in the United States, while in the rest of the world his dexterity , his cadence and his versatility in his flows at his prime is what stands out the most.
You've talked about the song Still Don't Give a Fuck, which is a impressive rap performance, the same for the song Marshall Mathers or Business etc. no one can rap like he does. He created his own melody with his flows during this period and didn't just follow the beat. I have often heard that the Marshall Mathers Lp album was the best rapping album in terms of skills in history, it's a general opinion from some hip hop heads.
We can also talk about the debate over who had the upper hand on Renegade. If you pay attention Jay Z and Eminem both wrote amazing verses but what makes people think Eminem won is that his flow is more complex than Jay Z and sounds better.
At his prime his flow had more fluctuation and was never linear. Of course this has changed since Recovery.
Aside from Nick Cannon who said that Eminem was the rapper with the most variety of flows, some listeners and some rappers who had difficulty covering Eminem songs from the era. I have the impression that the majority consider him above all as an excellent lyricist.
What is also interesting is the double perception of the longevity of Eminem's career. In the world we think it's respectable to last so long in the game while in the United States they make fun of him because he's old.
Another point that is interesting is that in the United States I often hear that his music ages poorly. While in the world more than twenty years after the start of his career he is the second most listened to rapper in the world and in the top 10 artists all combined. No other artist has managed to maintain such a level of popularity.
In my opinion in the United States more than the fact that his music sounds outmoded, it is more the growing hatred towards Eminem which pushes the younger generations not to be interested in him and this is what gives a feeling of out-dated to his music.
I am always impressed by the hatred he gets from certain Gen Z people in the USA, they treat him as a clown, as trash. He's just an artist, why be so virulent.
I'm Gen Z myself and it's only Gen Z in the United States that hates him.
I'm curious to have your insight on that matter because you're from the States.
I'm also curious to know if Eminem's music no longer speaks to you or if the fact that he is no longer popular and well loved unconsciously plays into the fact that you no longer listen to him much.
To return to the subject of the video, my favorite albums are of course his three classics, encore is average, relapse is brilliant, great video by the way :)
