but that's what makes the people who act all cringe in videos or in public because since they killed the part that cringes they dont know how to not be cringe and makes everyone cringe
This reminds me of an animation meme where Squidward sees Spongebob drawing himself as Mermaid-Man and says "Is that your Mermaid-Man persona? That's cringe", to which Spongebob replies with "YOU'RE CRINGE!", and then it cuts to Squidward in a bathroom crying into the mirror because he was called cringe.
Chuck: “Is that your lawyer-sona? That’s cringe.” Jimmy: “YOU’RE CRINGE!!!” Chuck: _crying in his bathroom mirror by candlelight because he’s allergic to electricity_
Bullying people for simply having harmless fun or being passionate about something that they love is TRUE cringe. I'd rather be precived as "cringe" than be the biggest piece of shit in existance.
I can’t even talk about my favorite Hazbin characters in a community dedicated to talking about your favorite characters without being harassed because there’s “ too many posts about them”, like one chick got so upset she DM to me with a back up account after I blocked her. It’s insane. Can’t enjoy shit anymore.
Personal experience: Someone told me to end myself bcs i was playing friendly in a match. Like, yeah, i may have been the only friendly there, but that doesn't mean he had to go so far.
Cringe culture shows who isn't 'real' very quick. Got called cringe and was directly told "Why be yourself, when you can just be normal." What does that even mean? I was reading fucking Sonic IDW on my phone in a corner by the way. First time in my life I immediately thought "Screw this, a friend wouldn't say that. We're not friends" Haven't spoken to that guy in a year, and I never plan to.
"why be yourself when you can just be normal" sounds like something the generic villain would say in a kids movie where the moral is "be yourself," before trying to make everyone all act the same lmao
Tbh a large part of cringe culture has always been about bullying neurodivergent people (due to us being especially passionate about our interests, and also just being "weird"), like if you look at a lot of the people cringe culture went after back in the day, surprise a lot of them had autism and/or adhd.
I'm autistic... Your right here man. People find every corner of excuses possible to hate the ones whose brains are wired differently because "ThEy DOnT ThInK LiKe uS" which is kinda ironic because according to studies, certain neurodivergent people are statically smarter 💀. Heck, if people can't find an excuse, the they go deeper by "FiX YoUr DaMm GrAmMeR" when I only have one typo 💀🙏
I’m pretty sure that’s the reason for most of the hate towards Skibidi toilet. People praise Digital Circus for setting achievements, but when a series about singing toilets does it, that’s wrong for some reason (both are really good))
@@Cubeytheawesome because 1 was popular with gen alpha and was a meme, and the other was a full-length animated pilot, soo people would rather hate on skibidi toilet than tadc cuz it's a meme and very popular with gen alpha
as a 90s kid I would argue that cringe culture exist long before the internet. It's these people who still think that videogames and cartoons are just for little kids and I never understood why. Cartoons and drawing where always my passion and when I was about to turn 18 I legit was worried that some kind of switch would turn in my brain and I would start disliking cartoons and games.... luckely this was not the case and people are just really weird. Of course this does not mean that I was free of cringe culutre myself. Like I found the trolls movies cringe until I watched the third one in cinema and absolutly loved it.
Something similar happened to me, i was talking to my father about spider-man or some other nerdy thing, something he never had a problem with me doing before, then he told me that as Kids we like certain things and as we grow older we stop enjoying them and stop talking about them. Wanna know what happened afterwards? When we go out our conversations are awkward and boring, because this guy only seems to be able to dislike things and criticize them, until i decide to use him as a talking sponge Just so someone would hear me rant about some other nerdy thing he clearly does not want to hear
I remember seeing a kid back when I was in middle school wearing a sans hoodie and they got flamed by half the class, looking back on it now as a adult that kid had more balls than that entire class since he wasn’t afraid to show off his enjoyment
We did this all about me presentation, and I put garten of Banban and Friday night Funkin in my favorite games section of my presentation, and I was relieved no one booed me for it
I was confused for a sec and thought "why the hell would they mock someone for using a blue hoodie?", but then i remembered that sans doesn't usa a hoodie.
Cringe culture more or less ruined a good bit of my childhood because I had so many friends who participated in it, and I just had to follow suite to not get bullied (then I did cause I was a lowkey furry). Really happy that people on the internet can recognize that cringe culture is just undercover child bullying half the time. Really awesome video, have a good day 👋.
thank you so much!! im sorry you had to suppress your true self in order to not get bullied :(( everyone including you deserve to be their true self and thats facts gang 🙏🏽💚
I also had to do this. It was either laugh with the bullies so they leave you alone or get your ass kicked for being yourself. Later I eventually met the "weirdest" kid in the class who became my best friend because we were the same. Although he took most of the ass kickings, I had to watch every time he got picked on because I couldn't interfere without getting physical myself (this was in elementary school). While since after elementary school I haven't encountered bullying on that level again, I still am sometimes afraid to participate in cool stuff because I don't want to get any shit for it and I think I'm worse off for it because I rarely ever show my true self.
7:38 This is also messed up. Jelly bean thing nothing wrong, yet there were grown adults trying to dunk on her simply because she was “CrINgE”. And the other guy made an song about how he likes girls. The people who thought it was a good idea to harass others over something like this will always be worse than them.
The context of those two is really messed up, i remember people accused jocat of discriminating in his video because it seemed like he was talking about what Girls should be, but it was really about the opposite because He lists every single type of Girl as one that he likes and the message being that people should be who they want to be, it was wholesome
@@ninyaninjabrifsanovichthes45 Ye, i remember seeing the usual hate being coated with a lot of LGBTphobia, lot's of us folks have been kinda colateralls in the whole cringe culture thing
@@nicholassgobero JoCat was the prime straight guy, he respected women even when some of them harassed him and drove him off the internet, such a genuinely good man
The people who find enjoyment In belittling individuals for liking a piece of entertainment are so deranged in their mentality, and it’s a shame how common it’s getting. It’s something that needs to be kept in 2016. Also holy SHIT this video’s really entertaining. Keep it up, man. ❤
I hate being told I'm cringe for liking a show. Like, mind your own business bro. Just because there are some bad apples, doesn't mean to cut down the whole tree.
Noted: instead to trying to kill Hitler like every other time traveller, go back and stop Leafy from becoming popular so cringe culture never gets a vice grip on the internet. I've never really felt afraid to be open about my passions. My only concern is that I sometimes feel like I'm being _too_ open about it to the point of annoyance. I ain't never gonna stop loving my big three (Terraria + Calamity, Ultrakill, Murder Drones)
Aside the debatable Leafy Anomaly... That way of hobby appreciation? Is understandable and quite the accolade of thinking in certain angles that should be more in the back of everyone's minds... Unfortunately, there are inevitabilities to being called a Knucklehead Mcspazintron due to one's unorthodox interests, I may not be for everyone either... But hey: Still attempt to mature responsibly, truly reflect on actions and whatnot... Without growing up TOO MUCH if that makes sense, not fall off the deep end. Though there is a fine line to not breach like hurting those around you, so as long as its healthily equlibrated, there is always a certain spark to an unusual fun that makes life worth living... Extinguishing and becoming another drone of the lot has not fully ceased mine, for however laid back or unassuming one seems, I remain strong willed through all of it even under my perturbed and lowest state of being.

We all know the real problem with cringe culture and that's the fact that it's the one thing stopping me from infodumping about obscure Polish-Lithuanian history, like, for example, did you know that in the Battle of-
I feel the same way with the term “brainrot”, it used to be funny but now it’s just “thing I don’t like” I mean, there are brainrot things (like content farms) but people just use it for “thing I don’t like”
I was really scared of being called cringe so i almost never talked about the games/music i like, like i played deltarune at school and i was there thinking that people where gonna call me cringe and weird for playing that game but the ONLY thing i got was my friends saying "dude that game looks so cool what's it called" i had like a moment where i was there at my house thinking "why did i think that they would call me cringe? Its just i game that i like why did i think that they would hate me for playing a game"
Same here. I played a couple deltarune fangames while at school and I actively tried hiding it from my classmates. I don't know why I did it because after all, I was literally in a game design class.
@MuffinTheGamer2009 You probably did it because it was instinctive. Cringe culture is deeply rooted into society, so it's an instinct most people have. (Also, what fangames were you playing?)
What pisses me off about these types of people who actively partake in “cringe culture” is that they deflect all criticisms by saying “it’s always been like this” to offload all action they have or “it’s just a joke chill out” in order to save their own image. These arguments for why we should keep it like this literally boil down to “oh well, we have a massive problem but we're not going to fix it because oh well”, like they don’t care about being you know, an actual good person. Hot take but if you say these argument for why we should keep the internet is like this, then you have no right to complain about it as you picked to suffer this way.
And there’s another thing I mean kinda separate but some RUclipsrs while get criticized then when they respond they say”grown ass man btw” or other things like that doesn’t necessarily fit this comment but still
@@Kaboommmmmmmmmmmm This. The amount of hypocrisy in those responses could kill you. I swear, the internet may be full of adults, but they have the mind of an edgy teenager.
Honestly, fax. Like it's fun for me to say things like "this is cringe" or "wtf is this?" But there's a difference between making jokes about a piece of media you find cringeworthy or bad, and bullying people for liking or disliking it. The fact that this sort of thing even needs to be said is just embarrassing.
cringe culture deadass kinda ruined my childhood by making me afraid to truly express my liking for things still has to this day and im surprised people still let it slide
Oh my God I cannot tell you the amount of times I’ve had to hide my interests from literally EVERYBODY. I’m not even comfortable with telling my own family about them. The only people who I can share what I’m interested in with are a very select few of online friends.
I dont understand bullying people over what they like. I only ever do it jokingly with my friends, and if I genuinely don't like something, I just ignore it.
Cringe culture lost me a friend as a kid I was maybe 10? Had a friend who was obsessed with Fnaf, who was bullied not only for that, but also tics he could not control I was so scared of being bullied I told him I didn’t want to be friends anymore and tried to convince myself I hated Fnaf Wherever you are man, hope you doing okay, sorry for becoming a bully to avoid the bullies 💔
@@jlockzgaming2538a lot of people unfortunately with very low self esteem Funny how those people called us the losers when they were the miserable ones 🤪
this video taught me to never be afraid of expressing myself to what i enjoy. this one time i had an “all about me” presentation like the other comment said, and i had fnf on it. and when i showed the fnf slide i sped past through it so no one could really see it since i was afraid i would get clowned for liking fnf. but now i understand people cant bully me for my interests cuz now i think people calling people cringe for what they like is pure STUPID. thanks for opening my mind i appreciate it
Family Guy and Rick and Morty use jokes that are kinda like mature-immature (idk how to say that), while HT tries to do mature jokes while failing (no offense)
FACTS. I used to be such a negative person on the internet and what changed me was that I grew up. I'm 18 now and my presence online is way more positive than it ever was. It's so much easier to spread hate nowadays then it is to spread love and that's very evident online. People need to learn to be themselves and stop trying to please others ✌
People just need to realize that the “bad fandoms” people hate on are either kids just having fun, or a very small yet VERY LOUD minority of people who are just weird. And everyone else in that fandom who did literally nothing wrong just gets dragged down with them and is made fun off because they enjoy something that the general public has deemed bad😭
In my country there are entire channels based solely on criticizing LGBT people, communities, fandoms and children, like, this kind of video is very popular, it makes me afraid to live here, It's a wave of channels like this, and when someone "hits back at them", they get angry and send their fans to attack the kid (children often respond to bullying)
I was wondering when I'd find a video on this subject, and you nailed the whole motivation thing. Very interesting to hear a cringe hater's redemption arc. I was gonna say that cringe culture has been prevalent since like the mid 2010s, but then you brought up Leafy and I was like dang, this guy gets it!
as a neurodivergent person currently hyperfixated on hazbin hotel AND helluva boss, thank you so much for this. my self esteem has taken severe hits from the bullying online,,,,,,from ppl simply calling me stinky or ugly to full blown death threats. this is a topic that NEEDS to be discussed more often, and i once again thank you so very much for this video
As a HUGE fan of Hazbin Hotel, I don't overshare it. I tell people to watch it maybe once, and that's all, I also think it's pretty flawed as a show...
Definitely flawed in character writing, but the story keeps me hooked. But really, if I could sum up most characters Viv writes in both Hazbin and Helluva it'll be this. - Swears a lot - Very horny - Makes sex jokes - Is queer - An asshole Almost every main or side character has one or two of these traits. I'd be very surprised if Viv made one that had neither.
And as a hazbin hater i had to get springlocked like purple guy over hazbin because i have a soul. Fun fact: i almost crashed out in my local mall because i saw a charlie morningstar cardboard cutout at a hot topic nearby. I bolted the f*** out of there and looked like i just went through pearl harbor
this video hit WAY too close to home and i think this might have changed my perspective on the world. i used to hate on things when it seemed like everyone else was a fan except for me, while at the same time i'm being forced to hide my interests in fear of being oppositioned in a mean way. i do believe that the internet has poisoned the minds of many, including mine, and as a developing teen, i have a huge urge to fit in, so i am peer pressured the most. it's like if everyone is hating on something i like i just think like "so i'm actually not cool for liking this? so i won't fit in if i like this?" and i try to remove that thing from my personality. thank you, and i will come back in maybe around a few months to update if this video actually caused my life to go in an even better direction than it already has (since i stopped caring).
I don't think people should be shamed for what they like, but I definitely think there's a line that shouldn't be crossed with expressing their passion in a way that makes others uncomfortable. Even though I've been a fan of "cringe" things for a long time, I've mostly avoided their fandom communities just because some of the parasocial relationships people develop there can border on harassment.
@@NaughtWalter yeah most definitely, being passionate about something is nice but ppl shouldn’t let it get out of hand and start affecting others in a negative manner
I keep seeing Hazbin haters mocking people who cried over the 4th episode. You can hate the show, but don’t mock people who resonated with an episode that was about abuse Like what the hell, bro?
i don’t exactly agree with how that episode was handled but you’re entirely right, mocking people for relating and resonating with something that serious is kindergartener behavior
I think its one thing to laugh, but the other is to write directly to that person's comments. The latter is just asshole behaviour, whereas the former - you know, people laughed over worse things. Its just different sense of humour
It's usually straight up Christians, the guys who are supposed to occupy the moral high ground, who do that stuff is the funnier part. When TF did dunking on abuse victims/empathizers become part of the faith?
I had seen a video that was talking about hazbin's toxic fandom (the show has a very toxic fandom) and using a react channel crying at episode 4 as an example, like what did poor Morgan terry do that was so toxic? Making fun of people that feel connection to a character, even though you don't like the show they're from isn't even kindergarten behavior, It's straight up fetus behavior
I don’t understand cringe culture. Even if you don’t like something, there’s someone else out there who does like that thing, and if someone likes that thing, so be it. There’s no need to shame someone just because their interests include something you don’t like. It’s natural for people to have their own interests.
I’m glad you were very genuine for this video. When I am on Twitter I try not to have people ruin my mood for loving both Hazbin Hotel and Helluva Boss because I see a lot of hate both shows have and I just don’t interact with them. They would just be a waste of my time.
@@Austin-zc9gp yeah man despite what anybody says, don’t let anyone ruin what you enjoy! that kinda hate and behavior usually stems from ignorance and just overall immaturity you feel me? love what you love and don’t feel bad about it! 💚
to be honest i could care less about what fandoms somebody is into, the only part of fandoms i call cringe are the people who are waaay too into the thing if you catch my drift
@@chris_note Ok so I have to ask, why is it a problem that people enjoy the adult art? Give me actual reasons as to why people should be ashamed of enjoying that sort of thing. Because that kind of art will never and I mean ever go away as long as humans exist so you're basically shaming people for enjoying acts that are 99% something everyone thinks about at least once
@joseantoniovargas6548 i don't really mind if you've seen a small amount of adult art before, but have you seen what it has done to some people? it basically turns them into husks of their former selves and desensetizes their morals. im not saying it happens to everybody who looks at that sort of stuff, but it still happens a lot.
I find some replies like “you like hazbin hotel stfu” under people’s comments funny sometimes cause it’s just hilarious to me, but obviously I don’t agree with that rhetoric. You should be allowed to like whatever you want to and your opinions continue to be valid. Hatred and cringe culture has become engraved into today’s society to the point where nothing is “cool” enough and everything is “cringe”. Like yikes buddy, ever heard of fun 💀
I'm an Amazing Digital Circus fan. I'm not quiet about it by any means, but at the same time, I feel self-conscious about it. Like whenever I see people talking about how it's "gen alpha brainrot slop" or see people get made fun of for liking it, I start internalizing it and feeling bad about it. Doesn't help that, uhhh... eheh... I'm in my thirties. No, that's not a joke.

The effects 2016 drama channels had on the internet are still being felt 8 years later. I will never forgive the likes of Leafy for making it "cringe" to have passions. Screw the internet.
i can’t stand it when people generalize a whole fandom or point out how curtain fandoms have weirdos in them when you can say that about literally anything, every fandom has weird people its not unique to curtain ones so don’t have that as your excuse to hate on something

I wish I could talk about Genshin Impact more bc it's my special interest, but people always say it's "cringe" and think all the fans are racist gooners. They bring up the worst things in order to make everything about the game look bad. They never bring up the amazing worldbuilding, deep lore, interesting characters, incredible music, beautiful graphics, or the great plot. Some of the quests in Genshin actually made me cry because they were so touching
We all had this phase, in our teens typically, where whatever didnt fit into our naive, at the time uneducated world view was embarrassing or 'cringe'. You get older, look back, and realize how stupid it, and by proxy, you, were. Parents should go out of their way to teach empathy, acceptance, and HEALTHY self-esteem. Even if it means putting their kids in uncomfortable situations. Nobody grows when they're complacent. I was a victim of this 'culture' before it had a name. To this day I have no respect for it, or the people who encourage/participate in it, regardless of their age.
Honestly some hazbin hotel haters are pathetic, like some of them make hating hazbin hotel THEIR ENTIRE PERSONALITY, like I'm not the biggest fan of the show but it's pixels on a screen chill out dawg, it ain't that deep
THIS!!! I find it so odd how these people practically dedicate their entire lives on hating on a harmless show and attacking the fans?? Like do these people not have better things to do with their lives???
The people who hate on hazbin have ned flanders as their parents. Tbh tho i just hate hazbin because my dumbass thought it was cursing religion. [i saw demons in my sleep twice after that]
Hurt people hurt people. Most of the time, those people, who call everyone cringe on the internet are most likely being bullied outside of the internet. They take out their anger on someone on the internet, and always try to show themselfs bigger, than they actually are. Second reason; people are drama hungry. They try to squeeze drama out from everything. I know that, because i had a stage in my life, where i was REALLY drama hungry, and always watched cringe compliation videos. So yeah, hurt people hurt people.
Tysm for making this video. No joke, I've received MULTIPLE rape threats just cuz i had a hazbin hotel pfp on tiktok 😭 Edit: Even tho this is not relevent to the video, i just wanna add that rape threats are VERY normalized on tiktok for some reason. Like no joke, theyre seen as "funny comebacks" on that app. And you get called "chronically online" for feeling uncomfortable from them. Thats why i never go in the tiktok comment section anymore. Honestly i should probably stop using it as a whole, that shit rots people's brains into the worst versions of themselves
My god, it's so true I get mocked on Roblox just for defending a furry who did nothing wrong at all Edit: Oh yeah, I forgot there was this once where people bullied my little sister just because she liked FPE and didn't know what Baldi is
Yet i have been called out so many times for being "immature" for liking dinosaurs, yet they think that pterosaurs, itchyosaurs and synapsids are dinosaurs.
I love to critique media, and I’m particularly hard on shows/games/movies, that I feel have untapped potential. This has lead people to call me cringe for even caring so much about writing techniques, and storytelling in general. (Don’t even get me started when I analyze kids’ media) That being said, it makes me feel good knowing that I’m not the only one who sees cringe culture as utterly ridiculous.
this is the best video i've gotten reccomended. i feel like this apparent """"""cringe culture""""" circles every few years. i remember back in 2018 or so everyone was shitting on team 10, now everyone is shitting on ksi. people should not be hated for what they like.
As a person who used to be a part of this shit (thankfully no more), I just have this to say: IT'S OKAY TO BE WEIRD! It's okay not to like things other do, but that shouldn't mean that the other party deserves to suffer just because you don't like what they do. Trust me, most of the time, not engaging with something usually leads to a much better result than if you were to engage with it in the first place. Both for you, and the people you were about to harass.
As someone who was raised by Anti-SJW Grifters and Cringe Culture, thank you for spreading awareness about this. I’m currently taking a path of redemption.
12:41-12:48 literally how I feel every time a big movie/tv reviewer shits all over LITERALLY EVERYTHING coming out these days with nobody else saying anything remotely different, if you’ve seen 1 review video for anything you’ve seen them all, bro what do we gotta do to get some individuality in our opinions these days?!!?!…💀💀💀💀
I’m an MGR fan (Slowly becoming a Metal Gear fan in general) and I want to apologize for how cringe culture-centric my fandom is. Most of the people in the community haven’t even played the game and it hurts to see that.
honestly it's ok to find a thing cringe, so long as you don't belittle anyone else for enjoying it. Different people get that "cringe" feeling at different things. I find certain things cringe and avoid them, but I don't bully anybody for liking it. Also I find a lot of people who bully "cringe" people, don't really interact with the thing they're criticizing. Maybe the cringe was in you too all along y'know. I used to call kingdom hearts "kingdom farts" honestly. I'd prob try and play one if I could easily access it. I still stand by the fact though that some fanbases are predominantly made up of.. strange people
Ppl are already sayin that cause they don't know how fucking stupid that sentence is. Someone shat into ya'lls brains if you think that's somehow slightly reasonable to say.
I totally agree with Your point : ) BUT THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN UNDERTALE AND KINGDOM HEART IS THAT ONE IS PEAK AND THE OTHER IS MI- nah I'm just messin with ya
Omg I'm literally a fan of Hazbin Hotel and Helluva Boss, but it's become more and more of a guilty pleasure for me because everyone on Twitter hates it sm 😭 so I never mention it as one of my interests
Also alot of the target of cringe culture at people who are "Cleary" autistic. I don't matter if the person it autistic or not, it's just their "interests are autistic". As an autistic person, it's very clear of the kind of people these communities like to target by making comments such as "I like my thing, but it's cringe as hell if you make that thing your whole personality" or "it's weird to like something so much that you want to complain as your favorite character, write fanfics about them, have merch (meanwhile they have trillions of anime girl figurines)". How they respond to their targets also speaks volumes of their inherent ablesm by leaving comments of "this is acoustic" which is a slang for autism in a derogatory manner. It also reminds me of r/FakeDisorderCringe where they target people who actually have those disabilities 99% of the time and they're just too ignorant of the subject to understand. For example of someone showcasing their ticks for educational purposes, Autism awareness creators show cassing how they act without masking for educational purposes, people with ADHD sharing surface level symptoms of ADHD to make relatable content for those who have ADHD as well. In turn, they also never cover the account so their followers will drive the disabled creator off the internet because they simply do not understand their disability and love playing the psychologist who failed to get their degree.
The hatred people have for Hazbin Hotel and Helluvaboss is insane. People act like the edgy deviantart revival show robbed them at gunpoint, fucked their wife, and keyed their car.
Fr they out here acting like Viv slept with their moms and replace the father that they never had, make you can’t even talk about the good aspects of the show like the music and characters like Angel without someone just saying it’s just edgy and sex jokes and say the same criticism over and over again, without even watching the show
@@RyderTheGayRaptorUwU I'll admit, there is a LOT of sex jokes - But my love for the show, animation, art and songs outweights most of my problems with it.
@@aoib890 most of the sex jokes are with Angel and they’re there for a reason, it’s just one way he copes with all the bullshit he has to put up with Val at least the ones I know off the top of my head it’s a part of his character, wow shocking the porn star ape sex joke what’s next you gonna be shocked that John Cena did a wrestling move?
Honestly, as long as your aren’t being a weirdo, like being overly sexually attracted to a questionable degree about your favorite character or hating others for someone’s opinion about the subject. Then it doesn’t matter.
Harmed people harm other people. I'm kind of an example of this. I was and still am a fan of backrooms wikis and most of the non-joking things associated with them. I was insulted on Kane pixels fan servers and og backrooms in general because I like wikidot backrooms. They said I didn't know anything about horror and joked in the chat about what I liked. They explained to me why what I like is bad and unnecessary. I lost faith in what I loved. I joined them for a while because I didn't want to be humiliated and I tried to distance myself from my interests. However, I thought to myself that I wasn't really there to be afraid and I don't have to treat only the most popular version of backrooms as the only good one because others say so. I was and am there in the community backrooms wiki for people and because I love reading cool stories and visions from other people.
I wish the internet should stop trying to gaslight me into thinking I didn’t actually enjoy a show when I did 💀 I had to watch a few clips of HH again to make sure I wasn’t remembering things wrong, I’m so tired of this mannnn I just wanna enjoy things in peace It’s 100% worse when this behaviour is towards A REAL FUCKING PERSON, it genuinely pisses me off So yeah tldr: you’re right and we gotta start boosting this message more because people will literally NOT learn their damn lesson
Same here. People think it’s ok to harass the devs of this game called Garten of Banban because the models have like millions of polygons or the games aren’t of high quality or they’re “destroying mascot horror,” but the devs are literally just 2 brothers. The games are probably their only source of income, and there are worse devs out there that deserve hate (class of 09, poppy playtime).

i don’t think the pplwho’s passion cringe culture “permanently” killed truly killed their passion, theyre just convinced it did bc of the constant negative feedback loop & might not know that passion can be a thing you have to take back with a furious self love sith style, some ppl might maybe just need the proper encouragement & support/room to heal
Sometimes people use the word cringe even for things I don't find cringe, I think it's an overused word, nowadays people are like, hating on something just because other people do without having the original reason and go like "bro do you literally watch *name here*? That's so cringe" and I hate it, the biggest reason of why somebody calls someone else cringe for liking something is because they have pre assumptions on you, there may be some people acting weird from a fandom for example, and since you also like te game or series from that fandom they start to think you're weird and it is annoying as hell, I've come to start to get tired of whenever I hear the word "cringe" and it makes me embarass sometimes hearing teenagers of my age saying this on something for the dumbest reasons
Pkrussl with the animation and gacha reviews. That channel made me cringed and hated it so much for all the quote on quote “criticism” and milking videos instead of “helping” the “heat” problem, that he changed my life five years ago man.
I just dont talk at school anymore, I like roblox, its fun. And i just cant say a single thing at school or even to my brother or else i get weird looks and all of a sudden everyone hates me, i start over every single grade with some new people that might just not participate but no i get shut out as a weird roblox kid. I hate cringe culture.
You know. It wasn't until I watched this video that I realized Cringe Culture has affected me and made me wrongfully ashamed of my own interests. Just yesterday, I was in a Discord call with my s/o. We just wanted to chill, so we hung out after we got sick of Dead by Daylight and just played our own games instead. And I know I could tell this girl anything, and she'd listen to me yap about anything. Without making fun of or judging me. ...So why was I still slightly embarrassed to tell her I was playing Sonic x Shadow Generations when she asked what I was going to play? Like you said. Cause my interest is considered "cringe." Sonic is "cringe." But I loved Sonic as a kid. And I still love his series now. OK, FINE, there was a dark age of consistantly bad Sonic Games, but he's been making a resurgance finally when it comes to game quality! Same thing with Friday Night Funkin'. It's now considered cringe cause now it's running rampant with a young audience. I got a friend into FNAF that I'm sure struggles with the same thing there. But yeah. I should be allowed to be like "Yes I enjoy this thing. No, I'm not one of the fandom weirdos even though EVERY fandom has its weirdos. I'm just liking this thing, completely normally but passionatly. And that's ok. I'm not hurting anyone."
What should be considered cringe worthy isn't the person for liking it, or the content but the person's behavior which isn't tied to the likeness of the content nor the content. Exemple : Sonic's games : not cringe The person for liking the games : not cringe The person for being volontarly extremely awkward online and in public : cringe Though reminder that we shouldn't bully the people for neither of these 3 things... If you don't like the content, either make constructive critic or don't play play it, If you don't like the person for liking the content, either explain to him constructively the problem of this content (if it's problematic) or shut up, and If you don't like the person's behavior of being extremely awkward, disruptive or problematic for oneself or other people, either make him understand why it makes you feel and other this way or let him see the consequences of his actions.
12:25 same reason why I don't even enjoy being a furry anymore. I don't even talk about it or do stuff relating to the hobby anymore. Wish I was 17 again I was so happy and proud about it I had so much happiness. Now I'm a bitter 21 year old
I think the worst of it is when a community is seen as terrible due to the actions of individuals. Your community could be full of some of the nicest chillest people you'll ever meet, but because *some* people don't know how to act others will see it as reflective of the whole community.
im a star wars fan and people somehow find it cringe..? like, im a autistic teenage girl ofc im gonna love a franchise who has weirdly atractive people and an massive lore to rant about, books and comics to read, games to play, fanart, fanfics, etc... horrible how some people think its ok to do literal bullying to young people who ain't doing anything wrong

I feel like I can't have hazbin pfp's online because of these kind of people.
I've just stuck to my buddy one for now lol
exactly! everyone is just walking on eggshells now 😞
As both a Kingdom Hearts fan AND a Hazbin Hotel fan, cringe is something I barely even feel unless someone points it out
I'm an Amazing Digital Circus fan.
Dude me TOO!
as a deltarune and a TADC fan and i can relate. i just like TADC for the exisential dread, and also the character designs.

I used to be a part of the community that called Genshin cringe. Until I tried about a month ago and now I have over 200 hours on it lol

Yet i have been called out so many times for being "immature" for liking dinosaurs, yet they think that pterosaurs, itchyosaurs and synapsids are dinosaurs.
Liking dinosaurs seems very cool to me, I don't see how people view that as cringe or immature.

Remember when we were beefing with the Genshits?
honestly it's ok to find a thing cringe, so long as you don't belittle anyone else for enjoying it.

It did though. So I’ll be damned if I let it go one day without being hated on
frfr, if they don't enjoy it, don't engage with it
Fr they out here acting like Viv slept with their moms and replace the father that they never had, make you can’t even talk about the good aspects of the show like the music and characters like Angel without someone just saying it’s just edgy and sex jokes and say the same criticism over and over again, without even watching the show
@@RyderTheGayRaptorUwU I'll admit, there is a LOT of sex jokes - But my love for the show, animation, art and songs outweights most of my problems with it.
This
Harmed people harm other people.

11:33 Lackadaisy mentioned 💯💯💯🔥
I can't believe I did the poggers face IRL when I saw it.
What should be considered cringe worthy isn't the person for liking it, or the content but the person's behavior which isn't tied to the likeness of the content nor the content.
Exemple :
Sonic's games : not cringe
The person for liking the games : not cringe
The person for being volontarly extremely awkward online and in public : cringe
Though reminder that we shouldn't bully the people for neither of these 3 things...
