- On a cloudy and wet day on July 2nd, 2010, Walter Trout and his band comes out and kicks ass at the 2010 Portland Waterfront Blues Festival, presented by First Tech Credit Union.

Walter is one of the most under-rated rock-blues guitarists of all time. Well respected for decades by his many Peers, this hard-workin' Man epitomizes a brand of this genre that until u see him live u can't fully appreciate him fully...My advice...go see him if he comes anywhere close...u will not regret it!!!!! wow, wish i had 1/10 of his tallent. walter is truly an asset to blues.diamond in the rough, may i say?not a flash in the pan, not a johnny come lately, he has paid his dues to play the blues.to criticize him is to criticize everyone before him.he has made a mark in blues history.no he is not the greatest but, he is really, really, really, really good.
Just experiencing Walter and he is awesome , im a Chester Pa. guy and proud to see a local guy ripping it up.

I like this electric blues! Tony Sarno, Julisan Sas, Smokin Joe Kubek and Walter Trout are in my favorites list.
I use to see him back in HB, CA. at Perq's on Main St. way back in the mid 80's! He killed it then and he's still killing it!

My mate dislikes this Why? ive been into Walter and the lads for quite a while now been to see them twice Buxton and Leeds brilliant as Walter & the lads are I wont ever get tired of listening and seeing them wish he could be back here in Buxton can't wait for more tour dates here in the UK. need the new album badly too its better than drugs as for my mate he's missing out.........

I don't like comparing musicians as to who is better etc., but I'm just wondering why I'd never heard of Walter Trout until recently, and why SRV was a household name. They are/were both great blues guitarists; what left WT in the dust of SRV and Eric, when they were all equally great.

MrJLHooker has a blues name but no blues sense. Walter and his band won Blues record of the year in 2009, I think Walter can play the blues, but I know he can play the guitar like very few in our lifetime ask Buddy Guy!
