Back in the 1980s -90's I used to go see Walter play at a very small bar called Perqs on Main St in Huntington Beach almost 2-3 times a week. I lived right around the corner and was blessed for having to be able to do so.

I saw Walter 3 years ago in Karlsruhe at the Tollhaus (Survivor Blues Tour). I've seen and heard a lot of concerts in the last 40 years, but I've never seen such an intoxicating guitarist and singer as walter. What a man, what a sound, what power what energy behind his playing his voice, I take my hat off to you, Walter

Walter, so great, jumped from the "shovel", hope he lives as long as possible. Just saw and heard him here in Germany south a few weeks ago. He plays the blues like I would do - if I only could ....however, I am not so bad....Uwe, guitar player.

This band was on the rise. Once Lance was gone, they tried to regain steam and fizzled out. Lance Lopez drove their motor. Nice of Walter Trout to join them, lending his greatness to this occasion.

I have seen Walter many times in Grand Rapids. The radio station here used to have blues on the mall for several weeks in the summers. They had Walter when he was lesser known. He became really famous especially in England. When he needed a liver transplant. Wlav had numerous concerts for him. His son came and played. WLAV raised a lot of money for him.After his surgery he had to relearn the guitar. They would ask him to play blues on the mall. They could offer him what he was getting in England but he still came and put on a great show for us. The last time they had the shows when tony gates introduced him he said to give him an extra warm welcome because instead of being in Grand Rapids he could be playing in England for $80,000. He got no where near that on that day but Walter always understood where he came from. He is a great person.

I had the pleasure of seeing and meeting Walter a few times in a little bar named Perks in Huntington Beach Ca. back in the day where he lives. Best guitar player I ever saw and I've seen Clapton, BB King, Richards, Eddie, Townsend ect. He is a super nice guy as well.
