"When they created this hero, they didn't give him a gun or a sword. They came him a screwdriver to fix things. And they didn't give him a space ship or a x-wing fighter, they gave him a call box that you could call for help. And they didn't give him a superpower, or laser eyes, or super strength. They gave him an extra heart... And that is extraordinary. There will NEVER come a day when we don't need a hero like the Doctor." - Steven Moffat That's who the Doctor is. Despite his faces, his abilities, his companions, and his desktop theme, that's who he is. A hero. Who cares about the people of all of space and time. He is a protector of the innocent and defenseless, and a wrathful hand against evil and hatred. He is, at his core, in every incarnation, a good man. And he is the reason why I still have hope that things can change. That evil can be overcome, that good will win, that desperation will be forgotten, and that hope can always save us. Thank you, Doctor... For helping me believe.
This video is completely and thoroughly epic. As brilliant as the choice of clips and the editing is, it's the choice of music that elevates it to a masterpiece. Absolutely stunning.

I've taken note of all your comments and hope your gonna like finished product! :)

Been trying to find this again for nearly 2 years. It doesn't come up in searches. Thank God I bookmarked it 2 years ago. I went through my old bookmarks and there it was. That's how important this video is to me.
One day, I shall come back. Yes,I shall come back. Until then there must be no regrets,no tears, no anxieties. Just go forward in all your beliefs and prove to me that I am not mistaken in mine. :')
the greatest hero that ever was and ever is, the man who shows up in disaster after war after apocalypse, never asking who needs to be fought, or who needs to be stopped. just who needs help. and then he heads off to give it, no matter how terrible the odds or how hard it'll be to make a difference. 'cause he's THE Doctor.
Dont know why 0:57 fills me with so much fulfillment and happiness. So wholesome. That music shift as the Doctor dematerialises the TARDIS is everything!
It gets people's attention, makes them want to see what all the running and seriousness is about. Makes them want to watch the show because it sounds so infinite and amazing.

Kind of hard to bring back classic doctor's when most of them are dead, and the ones that aren't are so old, they are unrecognizable... I'm a huge fan of classic doctor who, and I thoguth they did a wonderful job with doing what they could with classic DW as well as new who in the 50th Anniversary, but you know.. you can never please Whovians...

I remember watching this a long time ago. For some reason I thought of it recently, and I'm very thankful I found it again. Great stuff. I watched it so much, everything is still ingrained in my brain. lol
Very good. As an American who just got into watching Doctor Who I've been watching everything Who related on RUclips. This is by far the best that wasn't created by the BBC. Nice work.
I've watched this so many times from the 50th anniversary till now and I still feel the energy of it. Such a brilliant celebration of all that has made the story of the Doctor so timeless. Better than anything the pros did. Thanks for sharing your love of the Doctor so that I felt it too.
Well I Got To Say is I Will always remember Doctor Who I Remember my Dad watching it and I got into it though him and I enjoy ever moment of it and I do hope that Golden ara of Doctor who will be back someday it will
Great memories of all the 'Doctors' here. I grew up watching, Jon Pertwee, and Tom Baker - they were my favourite Doctors. But I also loved, the early episodes with William Hartnell, and Patrick Troughton. Afterwards, there were the others, but I feel, that there is too much comedy in Doctor Who now, and not enough seriousness, like there used to be in the early episodes. When I say 'seriousness', I mean in episodes like, 'The Talons of Weng Chiang', 'Logopolis', 'Castrovalva', 'The Curse of Fenric' 'Remembrance of the Daleks' [which I have to say was brilliant], as well as 'The Greatest Show in the Galaxy' [anyone who doesn't like clowns, do NOT watch that one. I loved it however. Bring back the seriousness to the show. That's what I want.
This is a superb work. I have been watching Dr Who since the 1970's. This is a glimpse of the past 50 years of the Doctor that would serve well as an intro to the 50th anniversary special. KUDOS to you! This is absolutely BRILLIANT!

Doctor Who Fan Like RTD is any better? Look at "Last of the Time Lords" and "End of Time" plot holes in both that could stop a truck. People single out moffat as the "worst" when in reality no writer from the new who era can compare to the writers of old who like Robert Holmes and Terrance Dicks.
Moffat ruined Doctor Who, it used to be dark, interesting and worth watching until the end. AYE! There is always hope.
Is this the same Moffat who has him mercilessly slaughtering cybermen, leaving Dalek Clara to die and constantly berating and insulting everyone else?
Maybe he said that a long time ago, Moffat is , after all, a live long fan of the show
did you not see the third doctor shoot some creatures?
