Its a somber song mourning the loss of innocence and harm caused by someone that abused their power, even if they didn't know it. And maybe also Billie or her brother (whoever the song is about) is reflecting that now they are in a position of power and they need to remember that it is a heavy responsibility. I liked the bro's version too bc with the "how dare you," it is more angry and it is asking people to be careful with the power they have. It feels like a different song but not in a bad way. So yea thanks for answering bc I didn't agree with the initial statement but I still thought it would be interesting to discuss.

A darker, more sorrowful lament, wishing the abuser would realize or care about the hurt they caused, and a commitment to never abuse power in the same way; vs. a cautious reminder that your world changes when you gain power, whether or not you want it, and that you have a responsibility not to abuse it, though it may/will be difficult at times. Idk, that was my take on it.
I can hear this in an anime, or animated movie, where two brothers are fighting bad guys, and then one of the brothers looks over to see his brother turning evil, and this song plays as the good brother’s inner turmoil begins to bubble and rage.
