@@marilynstone8859 that sounds awesome if you did some clear resin or something but you would really need to build a form and Foundation make sure that there are no leaks and gaps and seal it all off that is a skill and Industry all in itself I suggest looking into that that would be cool though like a see-through Lava Rock Way or table or something the lava rocks are pretty sweet I don't know about air bubbles getting trapped in there though
So the lava rock wont break up when stepping on it overtime? I want that too but people tell me that it will disintegrate if you step on it over time but they just assume they dont actually know
We used the red lava rocks on the side and in the front of our home, and we walk on them daily. I've noticed a little bit of wear and crumbling on the most walked on areas, but it is very minimal. Not enough to deter you/me from using it. Unless it's gonna be walked on very heavily, then maybe you may want a different rock. The bigger lava rocks I have not noticed any crumbling. Hope that helps.
@marilynstone8859 Hello, no, it's not hard to walk on. I admit it's not the best substrate or rock to use for this. You can pick a better Stone that's equivalent cost. Over time, some of it gets stuck to your feet, and over time the stones do crumble. But they are cheap, and it's easy to put some on the top if you need. They are still going pretty well, and I walk on it every day. Every once in a while, I sweep them in and touch them up, but that's about it.
Looks good!
Nice Job thank looks great!
Do you know if you're able to use that lava rock in a propane gas fire pit
I have something like that but would like something clear to pour over it that will harden smooth and still let me see the rocks...?
