PERFECT PRESENTATION DESIGN: no talking, no video of anything that is not necessary (like someone standing in front of the camera talking), and excellent fast-speed of the video. Many how-to video makers fail to realize that seeing the actual process is valuable but a lot of talking is not valuable. It's the old saying "a picture is worth 1000 words" You could stand in front of a video camera and explain how to grab two thin ropes, explain that you need to overlap the two thin ropes in 2 different ways, but all that talking can be edited out of the video - if the video instead SHOWS tying a shoe. "Don't use words to explain how to tie a shoe. No one will be able to tie a shoe from verbal instruction. SHOW THE PROCESS. Then everyone will be able to tie a shoe." Far too many videos talk, talk, talk. Instead, SHOW. You have excellent video skills - thanks for the great instruction!
This is one of the real DIY using cheapest tools and I am going to follow this. Thank you for the video. I am really sick of watching professionals posting stupid DIY and they use expensive tools like Miter saw or other expensive tools which normal homeowners will never use again. Pls keep posting good videos like this.
Something strangely satisfying about time lapse videos. Excellent job teaching us how to do this, now we just need the patience to achieve the same quality.
I just finished your videos on your house remodeling, and wanted to say you do a terrific job. My wife and I did the same kind of work on our own home, but I built face frame cabinets.
I followed your video and other one from two ladies. Your oen was more helpful but the other one was also helped a lot. You style made it easier with 5 electric points and switches I had. I also had different sizes cabinets and it was much more difficult as I initially anticipated. But your video was super helpful. My biggest mistake was to use the wet tile saw rented from Home Depot. It made my life little easier but broke the small glass pieces. i should have bought one of those tile cutters u used and those were cheaper than the tile cutter. So little advice to the future DIYers. Don't expect this to be super easy if you are a novice like me. It took me 6 hours in one day and another two hours next day to cut and place the tiles nicely. I did 1st small batch grout myself and it took forever. Then my wife came back and helped me for the larger part and it was easy.
excellant video . i have similar tile but mine had aluminum also mixed in. so i used the hand tile scoring tool like yours and a hand held diamond cutter .
@Wizzykin the manual tile cutters are very easy to use and laying the tile is even easier. Just practice on some scrap to get the feel for the cutter but it's easy
I recommend the 24 in it's not much more in price but helps allot with being able to do large or small tiles, as I've had multiple jobs now with the 24 x12 or 24x24 sizes and my either 14 or 18 inch cutter doesn't work.
This video was like asking my father for help with my kitchen backsplash, and then having him end up doing the whole thing; and me watch him, 😂😂😂😂😂😂. Pretty good work, but I would advise the folks who pay attention to details to always use “spacers.” That’s all I got, 😅
An amazing video. Thanks! I will remove my broken microwave oven and replace it with a range hood. So I have to patch the backsplash a bit. Very small project. Hope I can do it after your video. I hope I can find a cheap replacement of the backsplash cutter. I just need a few cutting, I think.

@@ShunaB. hey I am not able to search for this using this description. Can you please post the link here or item number so that o can find it. Love these tiles. Thanks
what size of v trowel did you use on this project? I plan to install stone and glass mosaic tiles (similar to the style you installed) on laminate backsplash, is 1/8" v trowel OK or other size? Because it is laminate, it is less absorbent. Will sanding it with 80 grit orbit grinder good enough to ensure rough surface? Thanks.
Wonderful, efficient how-to video! We're about to start a project with tile that look VERY similar to yours. Ours appears to be stone and glass. Would the tile cutter you used work? How many linear feat was your project and how long did it take, not counting the waiting for the adhesive to dry? Thank you for this very helpful video!
Bueno te doy el like pero al ocio tiene que poner un esquinero de alumiño el corte con la ruby queda filoso y la bace de las plogas quedan x enésima del tile para atornillar la base
You have to use a goof ring & long 6-32 screws for it bro. By code, you’re supposed to use a goof ring anyways if the box is recessed by a 1/4”. There’s also a trick where you can take a piece of 12 or 14 copper wire & coil it around the top & bottom fastening screws for the receptacle to its box. You have to be careful not to use too many coils or the receptacle will protrude, & you’ll have to lessen the coils. Start with maybe 4 or 5 coils, or you can purchase what we refer to as caterpillars, which serve the same purpose but they’re plastic. Either way is completely safe. that’s just a little trick from the trade.
I see people installing tile on the existing granite backsplash. My tile guy did the same thing but what he should have done was removed the granite backsplash then installed the tile directly onto the countertop. Now I have have to all his work removed and applied it right. $$$$$$$$$

This video was more helpful then the one posted by stores like Home Depot.
Lmaoo I went straight to here. I knew it would’ve been a bad video
Lmao that Home Depot was really trying to have to buy alot fo shit from there store and was doing way yo much in the process lol

This is what a video should look like. No talking, just working!
I dont usually do comments but this was the most helpful video... no talking all work. I love it... thank you kindly
Im not a pro or have experience in this or anything but i personally would've made sure that third and fourth piece was leveled. 🤷♂️
Lol I noticed that too, made my OCD tick a notch
He definitely went back and straightened that out. Everything looked level in the end.
I said the same thing though when I saw it.😄
As soon as he put that 3rd row in I’m like, wait, it’s going up now. Looks terrible. Probably a rental property so he doesn’t have to deal with it 🥴
I would have started at the outlet so panels would be level from there. A bit more math.
I agree...but he explained every aspect thoroughly...definitely gonna get the level out and make some lines

Looks nice made the kitchen a upgrade 👍 great job
Thanks for the video. I now feel confident I can tackle this job. I have a similar backsplash project waiting for me.
Thank you just getting ready to put these same tiles up in my kitchen. This video helps A LOT!!
Brilliant bit of tiling there and the kitchen looks fantastic sir je. Great video mate
Looking at your works, I come up with the words: "If you good in woodworking, you good in (almost) everything"

No words is the best!! Great DIY video!! Handymen already know what to generally do you don’t need all the talking.
That tile cutter is pretty slick. I'm going to be doing my kitchen backsplash soon too. I'll have to pick one up! Thanks for sharing.

Excellent vid. Thumbs up. Beautiful result.
Thanks for posting this. Very helpful.
Looks good. Tip: You want to scuff up/sand that wall before applying mastic. Better to have a rough surface for it to grab onto.
Enjoyed your video and gave it a Thumbs Up

Neat! What are you doing next week-end? Have some tiling that needs to be done ...
What is the stuff called u spread out the paste 🤔 gonna try this wish me luck
Please add the link for the tile too Thanks
My question is do you have to go all the way up to the bottom of the cabinets? How much of a gap is acceptable? I do not want it to look cheap.
Where did you get the tile from?? Home depot??
He needs a level or laser it started going uphill around the third piece . But other than that it was excellent .
Good, but how do you allow for the space of the tile between the electrical outlets/switches? Kind of glossed over that part.
Goof ring and 6-32 screws
