These cars come with headlights aimed really low. There's a bolt you can use to aim them up just a bit. Its a night and day difference lol. Free mod ha just don't aim them too high
Nice. I've owned del Sol's, an EK Hatch, a CR-X, and I love my CR-Z. This is a great video with some easy mods, and I'm glad to see people out there working on our car.
So i tried this and after the fact im noticing a burning smell from in the cabin. I used a metal plate and high heat foil tape to close off the resonator. Is this just a temporary thing , or should I remove the plate and tape it off?
No lights come on for this mod. As per actual horsepower gains, hard to say. The spoon airbox is the effective same as the stock air box just without the baffles, that we cut out, and if the later model crz’s had a larger intake vent in the front, Honda did it for a reason, so I feel it’s totally worth opening up if you have an early model.

We didn’t notice any burning smells from anywhere at any point, I’d double check that nothings accidentally sitting anywhere it shouldn’t be.
I have a 2014 do I still need to do the cutout? The stuck vent is longer by one square than the one in your video
You shouldn’t have to do the diversion panel cut.
No aftermarket gauze filter as K&N installed?
Not currently, this was just a quick easy how to do the air box mod, but it should absolutely be done in conjunction with a better filter. 👍
