Brilliant installation video, easy to follow. Just installed my K&N air intake filter and wow, easy to install. Wow, just test drove my CRZ after installation and that induction sound at 1:37 is absolutely spot on, Thanks again from Australia
Remove the crankcase vent hose is super unclear. Nothing showing where it is. I need that info because now I'm stuck halfway through an install because the instructions are super not clear on this part.
Okay no one asked for a response 8 years later but here it is since I just installed this kit. The PCV hose goes from the stock intake to a coolant loop - this is for cold climates to stop the PCV vapor from freezing up. The problem is that the kit elbow joint and the coolant loop port are different diameters. Instead of including a reducer they just decided to delete the coolant loop entirely. I however found a quick solution - you can insert a piece of the provided coolant hose inside the provided PCV hose (using some silicone spray as lube) and then you can easily keep the coolant loop - attaching the small hose to the coolant loop and the large hose to the N&N intake.
This system will work for a 2016 Honda CR-Z 1.5L. Check out the "Vehicle Applications" tab on the following page www.knfilters.com/69-1018ts-performance-air-intake-system
Colder air, colder equals denser air so more air for the same volume. Best way to know if it works is to dyno it. One con is the risk of hydrolocking your engine.
Y para un honda crz del 2010 ? Es el mismo proceso ?? Y se usa el mismo diametro de filtro en un 2010 que con los demas años ? Y si fuese asi que diametro de filtro debo comprarme para un crz ? Gracias y excelente video 👌
+norreko Since we are modifying smog components, (intake) we need CARB to approve the kits each separately. The smog station will do a visual inspection on the vehicle's intake to make sure everything is stock and in place. If it is aftermarket, it will fail unless it has a CARB decal.
No, all K&N air intake systems are designed and tested to work with factory ECU settings. Check out the following video for more info ruclips.net/video/ydfBn8H98WE/видео.html
i bought the kit in the video and was sent the wrong tube as well. I contacted K&N via phone (email has a really slow response) and got the right part shipped out at no cost. One pipe for the G35 looks almost the same and has almost the exact same part #....

@@e30_B27thanks i was gonna buy one soon.
Is it possible to have a both K&N performance air filter as well as air intake at same time?
All K&N air intake systems come with a washable/reusable performance cone filter out of the box.
Was this a cvt or manual?
Having trouble finding the part number for replacing the filter.
Check out part# 33-2459 www.knfilters.com/33-2459-replacement-air-filter
In the long run. Is it better to have this then a traditional stock air intake?
Yes, only because you don't have to keep buying filters over and over. Instead just clean it
Do they make one for the 2016 model?

anyone know why its important to lower air duct into the lower tube?
Colder air, colder equals denser air so more air for the same volume. Best way to know if it works is to dyno it. One con is the risk of hydrolocking your engine.
Does it also fit 2k14 model?
Yes this will fit a 2014 Honda CR-Z 1.5L

Este kit no cabe en el CRZ 2010. Parece que no tenemos uno en stock. Si encuentras un kit puedes utilizar uno de nuestros filtros universales
Gracias de todos modos estimado

Were the dyno tests all done with the hood open?

why isnt it legal in california? its just an intake?

KNfilters so how does one get a CARB approval? I really want this K&N filter.
or is it just not possible?
Is a tune necessary?
