Loool the door handles on these are horrible when it’s winter. I broke my driver side 1 time because of snow and ice completely covering the handle. The best thing to do is to cover the handle. Then DONT get a car wash before the snow falls or cold temps come because you WILL snap the cold handle. So keep your car unlock and just try and use the trunk when it’s super cold.
I've always wanted a CRZ. Just bought mine a few days ago (auto), with a few problems :( I need some help. It's ditching coolant, and doesn't seem like the modes change when I press the sport/normal/eco buttons.
door handles are after market i went through three pairs basic warm weather can kill them i just went to honda and now there holding up nicely the irony is i would have just save more money if i went through Honda in the first place
if your door handles do what they're GOING to do.... you can push in the door above the door handle before pulling the handle. My driver side is failing right now, and that is helping me open it. It always gets worse in the heat of summer. I've swapped the passenger side in the 2nd year of owning it. Driver side has been ordered.
If your looking for a permanent fix, I just installed the metal door handles on mine! Check out the video here: ruclips.net/video/d7hpSNC7hbA/видео.html
Good vid, I'm from the part of the world where we drive right left side of the road, pretty weird watching a first person view on the other side of the cabin in the same car as me. Anyway, keep it up lad, what sort of recording setup do you use?
Appreciate the support dude! Shoutout from the US! It's always weird watching everyone else driving on the left side so I know what you mean😄. How you like the CR-Z? For these kinds of videos I have a head mount I use for my go pro hero 8. Once the youtube money comes in I'll be upgrading but have to start somewhere.
Funny, european CR-Z must be built different. I never had problems with the door Handles or with broken fog lights. Also, my driving modes are not fading, at all. My model is from 2010 and I am Owning it 7 years.
Some of this depends on where you live and depending if you garage kept your car. If it doesn't get cold and your roads aren't junk, you probably won't have a problem with fog lights. Door handles also become more brittle in cold as all plastic parts do. The whole door handle thing is very avoidable if you open the door how it's designed (not yanking on the handle like an animal). The climate control buttons won't fade if your car is mainly garage kept or out of sun.
Hey man! Thanks for video, you've done a lot to the car since last i saw. I am actually wanting to do the metal door handles thing too since my car just hit 180000kms (short vid on channel if you curious) And i got in touch with someone who's done the 3D modeling from the crzforums. If you want i can put you in contact with him directly, His name is Jase.
Glad u liked the video! The metal door handles actually already arrived from a different seller. I will be vinyl wrapping them a similar black so it blends in to the door then I'll be making an install video if all goes well!
Yo apparently on some model years of this car the f*cking spark plug Litterly POP OUT OF PLACE. ESPECIALLY in hilly/ pothole filled areas and it's crazy because getting to the spark plugs in these things is a tad bit tedious, But yeah idk I figured I'd mention this because its happened to me about 3 times now and I have a 2012. Also when I bought mine my door handle was just gone LMAO so to drive it for about 3 weeks I had to get in from the passenger side.
I did not know that. I know some mustangs have the same problems but they litterally just exit the cylinder head😂. I'll have to keep an eye on mine, I have to replace them soon anyway. Can't believe you went through the passenger door for 3 weeks that's crazy
@@illusiversxTo be fair I'm out here in the northeastern U.S and my state has some of the worst roads in the country. So honestly if you're in Wisconsin you should be fine with the spark plugs😂. One more problem I've heard from a handful of people (and have experienced myself) is that the caliper pins and E brake sometimes rust and get stuck, which will lead to the brake pads sticking and your caliper hanging up. This is more so a Honda problem from the 2010+ models in general. I do believe you mentioned issues from rust yourself though. Other than the aforementioned issues though these things are just incredibly reliable and my lord can they take a beating.
@@illusiversx awesome job bro. I’m a software dev and just finally bought my second car, 2003 RSX type s. That’s how I found your channel. Keep the vids coming. Do you like the CR-Z or RSX better?
@IntechProps that's dope man! I wanted to do something of the sort when I was younger but liked hands on work the more I grew up. If I had to choose 1 or the other I love RSX's more. With it being my first ever car and now my forever project I don't think I'll ever like a car more than my RSX's. CR-Z's are definitely an awesome car but I'd put a few cars ahead of them I'd rather have and build.
You can purchase TPMS sensors and have them installed and calibrated for $25 each at discount tire.

Damn man that blows! You will not catch me climbing through the trunk 😂. Car washes when it's cold can really fuck you over tho ik how that goes

I assume your talking 12 volt? Any accessories like under glow or aftermarket radio hooked up? Could be installed incorrectly drawing from the battery

How many cars do you own bro? Is insurance killer?
2 CR-Z's, 2 RSX's and a motorcycle. Insurance is pretty bad but I have liability so it isn't crazy for being 20 years old.
