Perry was married for 65 years, not 80 something that you mentioned. They married in 1933 and she died in 1998. Still what a testament to both of them.
My first and lasting impression of Perry Como was listening to his Christmas Album while our Family was trimming the Christmas Tree when I was a boy in the early 60’s. Every Song on that Album was a keeper! To this day, it’s my Favorite Christmas Album. What a Wonderful Man, Husband, and Father! Fitting he was Debby Boone’s Godfather. Ironically, Pat Boone recorded a Christmas Song I wrote with my Brother!🎄
I love 2 songs that Perry did and one was " And I love you so " and the other was " It's Impossible..........He sings with a golden voice that seems so smooth and effortless like one of GODS greatest achievements in this world of his.....R. I. P. Perry.....
My favourite recording by Perry is The Father of Girls. I was privileged to watch him perform it (and The WInd Beneath My Wings) at a rehearsal for his Christmas show in Dublin. He signed some albums for me after the rehearsal and I was just walking on air. For so many years he was the person I most wanted to meet and there I was standing beside the great man chatting to him. Unforgettable.
Absolutely! We feel the same way. Thank you for sharing your sentiments and for watching our content. What other types of video would you like to see on Facts Verse?
I saw him at a "Ham-Amature golf tourny in 1963 at Southhills Country Club in Pittsburgh Pa. He had a sore back and was in constant pain. His currant hit was "I Love You and don't You Forget It". He was partnered with Nick Adams ; a local news person.
Perry sang Ave Maria live many times on his TV show, regardless of what AI says. What he declined to do was sing it in concert (which was also live). As someone else mentioned, he was not married to Roselle for 84 years. That would have made him way over 100. 84 was his wife's age when she died.
Wrong. You can see Perry sing "Hot Diggity" live on his show on You Tube. He also included the song in a medly in virtually every live concert he did beginning in the 1970s...I personally saw him perform it live at least 5 different imes. Also wrong -- Perry ended weekly television in 1963, not 1959.

WOW!! 85 years of marriage. "I love you so," definitely one of my favorites.
They couldn't have been married 85 years since Roselle was 84 and Perry was 88 when they died.
One of our favorites too, you've got fine taste! Which song comes in at second place?

Perry Como is my favorite of the golden age of crooners.

The clip said that Mr. and Mrs. Como were married for 84 years. I know that is not possible. Does anyone know how many years they were married?
65. 1933- 1998

Ave maria
One of, if not thee most boring singer who ever recorded.
He had 15 gold records between 1945 and 1971 and popular radio and television shows for over 20 years. Somebody must have found him exciting.
Your as boring and showing off your ignorance shut up.
