The white vikings from scandinavia settled in north america in the 8th and 9th century. But when they increased in numbers the native americans attacked and killed them. Before that the chinese landed on the west coast of the US, but they didnt consider it worthwhile to settle there.
Why would you claim the native peoples attacked the Norse colony? There were conflicts of course as with any peoples but the vast evidence suggests they left and returned to Greenland.
Do you really believe Christopher Columbus was that stupid? Seriously. Europe had been doing trade with India for thousands of years. They knew people of that area, knew of their culture. And it was nothing similar to the native American culture. To say he made that mistake is to say he wasn't smart enough to be sailing ANYWHERE 💯 He was smart. The Spanish crown was smart. Discover definition: To find something or someone unexpectedly or in the course of a search. It doesn't mean that no one was there. It also doesn't mean that if you find something you can lay claim to it. Have you ever found an apartment to rent, or found a good sale... Columbus came for conquest and colonization.
Those the problem.... The story told is not a fully accurate. What was happened before Columbus sailed for Spain? The Moors got kicked out of Spain. The Moors told them about the Americas. The story they tell about Columbus "discoverying" the "New Wold" as if he was sailing to India, is bs. They taught the earth was flat. So where did this knew knowledge come from? The Moors. They needed a conquest, some plunder. And Europe had been doing trade with India for thousands of years. The culture of that area wasn't a mystery. They KNEW this wasn't India. Which was a variety of kingdoms and sultanates at the time. Not a unified country. The land of Bharat started being called India during British colonial rule in 1757 because the river Indus was the border of the British colonial territory.

I’ve actually looked into this topic quite a bit over the years and have come to my own conclusions as to what could’ve actually happened. Although I do think it is possible that ibn qu and his crew could’ve reached the americas, I have reason to believe that they didn’t make it. If they did make it, it likely would’ve been a fraction of the original crew and would’ve been killed off by natives The reason why I’ve reached this conclusion being that we have no archaeological or genetic evidence that hints at it happening. When it comes to Polynesians, we have genetic, linguistic and material evidence to prove that they did travel to the americas between roughly 1150-1400ad. but we do not have this same evidence between west Africa and the americas. Even in the scenario that they did travel across the Atlantic and reached the Americas but never sailed back to west Africa, there should’ve at least been genetic evidence showing their arrival to support this, but there is no verifiable evidence that shows the E-M2 (west african) haplogroup in the Americas prior to Columbus, which means that any Africans that did reach the Americas did not reproduce. Accounts recorded by Al-umari in Egypt of a conversation between him and mansa musa show that the voyage would have happened just before 1312, and that there were actually 2 voyages made across the Atlantic. The first voyage being 200 ships, where apparently only 1 ship ever came back claimed that a “river” with a powerful current appeared in the ocean, and the ships went down said river, but apparently this one returning ship did not enter and returned back to Mali. My interpretation of this is that the “river” was an ocean current, which can be described as “flowing like a river”. Assuming they survived the voyage along the current, they likely would’ve ended up around the lesser Antilles, but seeing as no ship ever returned afterward the voyage I am to assume that the worst took place but the lesser Antilles were also inhabited by the Caribs, who were known for being cannabalistic, so maybe that could have something to do with it…. In the second voyage around 2000 ships were said to be assembled with ibn qu taking part in the voyage, but this is said to be the last time anyone ever saw him. If a voyage of that size reached the Americas, there almost certainly would’ve been at least some genetic and material evidence left behind, the Polynesians traveled to the Americas in only a handful of ships and even they left genetic and linguistic evidence behind. If I had to make a guess, the fleet was probably hit by a tropical storm, but again that is only a guess as to what could’ve happened. There were later claims by John II of Portugal that ships from west Africa sailed west with merchandise, but this again seems unlikely, as this would’ve been over 100 years after ibn quo’s voyage, and there would have 100% been evidence of contact if trade did persist for that long between the Americas and west Africa.
As I mentioned in the video there was a 1975 NYT article about an excavation in the Virgin Islands during which they found skeletons with African features.
