True -- Burr is *always* the alpha in conversations. This was quite possibly the first time I've ever seen him let someone else in the room take over when he (Burr) was mid-sentence. Usually when that happens, he keeps on talking (part of his appeal, I don't have a problem with it) and the other person waits their turn to chime in. Here, Burr was totally giving the right of way to Gretzky each time he wanted to chime in. (not just this clip so much as the entire interview this clip is from)
Gretzky would never say anything to attack Burr.........Burr's wheelhouse is aggressive and boisterous types. Gretzky is the antithesis to this. To nice to tease. (it's a thing that exists)
I agree with bill, upper deck center ice is the best view. When the islanders played in Brooklyn I’d always get the seats in the same section and would say hi to the same usher every game. It was great! Rarely did I spend over $40 bucks to be at the game.
A couple great lines there from Gretzky. His son asking the (arguably) all-time great whether he really did play in that league is absolutely hilarious.
I used to go to Kings games and I'll never forget the time Gretz go plowed hard open ice and it was sticks and gloves all over the ice the rest of game lol. He was the best but very protected it was kinda a rule back then don't touch #99 or have to deal with problems. My all time second favorite. Burr my all time favorite comedian
I believe that Gretzky gets a whole lot more out of the game from a rinkside corner seat than I ever could. I'd love for five minutes to see the game with his eyes.
Man these guys pump me up for a hockey game. Anything I would change though. Make the ice Olympic sized. Players are bigger stronger & faster, so make the ice rink wider. The goalies have Roman War Shields for padding, make the net bigger & let them earn it nowadays.
@@quasidiem99 Depends how you measure athtletiscm. If you measure it buy things like strength, then you are correct. But athletiscm is much more such as vision, processing speed and quickness. The Oilers beat my Islanders that first year they won the cup. Isles' captain Denis Potvin said he used to play angry. That's how Denis got into competitive mode: He'd be angry at his opponents. He said he could not be angry at Gretzky, though, because it's like "trying to be mad at Gandhi...you just can't."

Gretzkys greatness came from his perception of the game, he got down behind the goal and set up other players to score knowing where everyone was at all times. This is why he said he could have total overview from down there as Burr would have from up top.
Hahaha Wayne played in an era of monsters. The NHL isn't as manly as it used to be. Granted scoring is going up and the game is faster. But definitely not as tough as it used to be.

I bet Bill couldn't believe he was sitting next to him haha
The way Bill is completely focused when he talks... clearly thinking.. "holy sh*t... that's Wayne F*ckin Gretzky." Awesome stuff.
Wayne Gretzky thinking “damn I’m really sitting next to Bill burr?!”
great chemistry between Bill and Wayne.
Joel Walker yup that was nice.
Two great, truly humble humans

It would make for a great podcast.
Yeah that great no chemistry because they barely look at each other......I fuckin love YT comments out of the ass
i love how bill instantly recognized gretzkys joke about his vision ^^

I thought the same.
Bill is a hockey fan. We all got the joke.
I thought it was that he was way taller then bill so he can see that view from a few rows lower

Its kind of weird that for someone who is the greatest hockey player the universe has ever seen, Gretzky seems like an average guy
that's one of his greatest Appeals
cuz he's canadian
Chris it's funny, I have always noticed that professional hockey players for the most part, are way more humble than other professional athletes.
2 reasons...he is a CANADIAN hockey player..and Walter would have kicked his ass if he went diva/
Well he is a hockey player. Not some cunty diva NBA player.
Ol Billy Boozebag and Wayne Gretzky
Could easily be applied to the host 💀
Both are extremely talented and yet very humble. That results in such great chemistry between the two.
What Wayne said at the end, about how he sees the game from the corner, like he's in the rafters, is why he is "The Great One".

I'm familiar with Patrice but who's the Greg you're referring to?
Good to see Wayne in a non-robot setting. That was a pretty good line at the end there.
