One thing with dabbid is him picking up the spear and fabrial to go fight alone is probably the bravest thing we've seen anyone do. He has no powers, no practice with the device, not a ton of training other than watching others train. And yet he still goes! Also every time kaladin complains about the device I have to roll my eyes a bit cause damn that thing is saving your ass so much! And the man who designed that deserves a hug and a big thanks from kaladin!! I also loved when kaladin was flying with it him complaining he had to assume an epic superhero pose to fly XD
@@tadious9415 OMG I just finished chapter 85. Dabbid’s POV. Made me tear up again when he talked about Kaladin saving him and him having a new family in Bridge Four. Oh, the feels. Dabbid has switched from being a background character to one of my favorites. Love Dabbid ♥️
Absolutely love Lift! Love, love, love, and cant comprehend grouches who dislike this urchin. I always found Mraize intriguing, but when he put Lift in a cage, he became an arch-villian in my book. Who gives up a child to death? 😡
Lift is awesome. She reminds me a little of Arya Stark with her attitude. Lift and Arya are both adolescent girls who get annoyed and become snippy in the same way. Love them both. Same with me regarding Miraze. Still find him fascinating but now I also hate him. No one puts Lift in a cage 🤬
I love Wit! However.. Remember when Zahel and Kal were having a talk. ZAHEL: "That’s because Wit is an asshole." Wow! Mr. Sanderson doesn't drop exciting words often.
Renarin is one character I really want more of and love the scenes we do get. I love him. I think he is so wonderful. I got so excited when Sanderson said he has a crush on someone he hasn't told anyone about yet. I was like aw one of my babies has a crush.... now I want to know who it is 😁
That was my first thought too 😊 Someone who loves Renarin asked Sanderson to personalize thier book with something about Renarins character. Sanderson wrote that he has a crush on someone he hasn't told anyone about yet 😊 They posted a picture of the book in Stormlight Archieve fan page on FB. I just think it's cute!
For what I've seen seems like 80% of the fandom thinks his crush is Rlain and that is very obvious. Maybe I don't pay enough attention as it is not obvious at all for me but that's what I saw in Brandon's direct
I finished the book yesterday and NO ONE prepared me for the rollercoaster of emotions that is Part 5. Oh my goodness, I literally cried around ten times and had to go back and reread certain chapters of Part 5 just so I can grasp everything all over. Now onto my thoughts about Part 3: Wow, this Part solidified the fact that this was the darkest Stormlight book. Melancholia and hopelessness was just seeping through those pages. I can’t think of any funny/light moment in Part 3. The tension was real. Also, I was so scared for Kaladin in Chapter 45, like oh my god, please, don’t get caught. And I felt so bad because Kaladin was back in the battle and had to sacrifice his own mental health all for the sake of Roshar. All throughout Part 3, he is put through hell and hell again, and I was internally sobbing everytime he said, “I’m so tired”. And I felt him! To make matters worse, he has an unconscious Teft to worry about, the complete falling of the Tower through the unmaking of the Sibling, an annoying dad who basically called him a monster and THEN Moash and Odium are working their asses out to torture Kaladin even more mentally. It was emotionally taxing and after this, Sanderson owes both Kaladin and US, the readers, a Kaladin novel/novella where he goes on holiday to Nalthis and has fun with Susebron and Siri. We need a book where Kaladin is just having fun! The story of the Listeners is so tragic, really sad. I won’t get to it because it all comes full circle in the Part Five flashbacks but wow, whatever happened to them and all they went through as a result of both Gavilar and Odium, it wasn’t fair, they didn’t deserve it.😭😭😭. “Welcome home, Listener”, got a whole new meaning after all the flashbacks. I LOVE Raboniel and how she’s a loose canon, like you don’t know, “are you good?” or “are you not good?” And Navani+Raboniel= world domination. In a better world without a war, they would have been best friends. And how her story goes...I cried. I kinda suspected Raboniel knew about Kaladin and Navani’s communication when he assured Lezian that Kal would show up at the second node. But seeing everything we’ve been hoping, everything we’ve been building up to, hoping for them to succeed, it all just falls apart in one chapter and I just fell apart as Navani. And the worst thing is that, Raboniel was always ten steps ahead of them, so what happened to them was unavoidable at the end of the day. But man, it HURT so bad that everything blew up in their faces. And when Kaladin was about to fall off the Tower and Dalinar saved him....man! I got so frustrated because I was just like, “can’t you just find a way to get Kaladin out of there through the storms!” The Stormfather was so useless, isn’t there a plot convenience that Sanderson could’ve come up with to get Kaladin out of that mess! Ugh! Kaladin is so precious and I don’t want him to suffer again and again and again. Man! It was so sad. And what he went through after that....all odds were just against him in this book... Also, I kinda knew it’d be Rlain since he is closest to Renarin from Bridge Four. However, I was thrown off course when something happened and made me think it would’ve been Taravangian. I just love this book because we finally see that Radiants actually CARE for one another. That Dalinar and Navani actually care about Kaladin, that it’s not all about war all the time. And also, this book is so aptly named Rhythm Of War, and I think it’s the best title because it has both literal and figurative implications on the book. I was interested in fabrial science. I thought I’d be bored with it, but man, Raboniel and Navani, just wow. You were right about this book, it was the best paced book by far. And my favorite. Can’t wait for your Part 4 and Part 5 videos so we can discuss them. The emotions ran wild.
Oof, I relate so bad. The emotions that part 5 made me feel...man. Smh. I read through it in a blur of tears frankly. All of the Kaladin scenes tore me apart. And that Dog and the Dragon story....Christ 😭😭😭😭😭 He deserves all the love. I hope he gets some peace after all this 😔
I love Taravangian so much. He’s so gray. Sometimes I think he’s so pitiful, sometimes I think he has the best intentions, sometimes I think he’s a nightmare. I am always excited to read his sections.
I loved the science & discovery sections - we found out so many interesting things !!! (Can see why someone might not though) also agree about the pacing, I was excited about every plot line which doesn’t usually happen
@@henrywayne5724 I can't. I was planning on rereading the book to pick up some things I missed. Oh also, I was listening to it in audiobook format and the actor who plays Raboniel when talking to her daughter. I just. I couldn't function
@@dunnejos8423 I was physically reading it and I just... couldn't. I was sobbing so hard such that even with the dreadful way the chapter ended, I didn't even give it much thought because the death was just too painful.
I could totally see Moash becoming a divisive character for the Stormlight Archive in the same way that Snape is a divisive character in Harry Potter. I wanted a Moash redemption arc, but at this point I think it's almost impossible... however, I could still see Sanderson giving Moash one final redeeming moment...
Pfff he needs to just be dead already. As soon as he killed Elhokar in front of his 4 year old son he lost any hope of forgiveness from me. And he’s just worse now. Just gross. “He wasn’t sorry for killing Teft. He was sorry for the way it made him feel.” Just gross.
Also yes, Dalinar did the same thing in his younger days. And I was livid about it and it took many pages before I begrudgingly forgave him. And sometimes I remember he did that and feel a little bitter even now. Yes, I am a mom. It probably influences my feelings. But still...
thanks for breaking up the chats by parts! it's great to watch these while I work my way through and allows for way more discussion than a 10min review of the whole thing :)
I am a scientist and all the science/magic chapters of this book were so good and fascinating for me. I love seeing science like magic, it's amazing and also relatable
I found the Vyre interlude quite interesting. Monash has gone down the deep end but there is some bit of him that seeks validation to prove what he did was right but her seeks it in a very twisted way. Which only comes to bite him in the ass at the end.

It was at this point that I first had the thought, related to a long time puzzle "Why has nobody taken on the honour shard?" It rather seems to me that Syl is being set up to carry the Honour shard and Kaladin takes Odium(?) creating a balanced Harmony like shard between them. LIFT IS THE BEST though :) *SPOILER Thaidakar Speculation* I had *no* idea. I finished the entire book and I still didn't know, so imagine my surprise when I went to read discussion threads :) (the sanderson reddits kind of make me wonder if I even read the books lol)
Kal odium!!!! No never ..... he is the most honarable character and he is literally a storm now.... i think syl will become the StormMother and kaladin Honer. But then Dalanar is already halfway there!!! So now i m thinking dalanar will be honor, kal the storm of roshar.
@@kaizoku_hoid4310 I view it as being very much like mistborn especially since Odium is now being used as a synonym for Passion - Odium alone is unbound and uncontrolled passion - something that is terrifying and malignant. Unify Passion and Honour and you get something as creative and beneficial(?) as the uniting of Preservation and Ruin(change) ith the creation of the Harmony shard - maybe.
@@helenFX I know! I haven’t read a lot of the Cosmere, just all the books in the Stormlight Archive and Warbreaker and whenever I see those discussion threads, I feel like “man! how much do I think I understand and I really don’t”. 😂😂😂😭. I’ll get through the rest of the Cosmere next year, Rhythm Of War is my last read of the year and I want to end on a high note. But I can’t wait to read the rest of them and FINALLY understand what the hell 17th Shard and Coppermind are yapping about. I mean, I got so upset when I finished the book and Thaidakar wasn’t revealed in the novel, then I got to 17th Shard and see that not only has the identity been told to us but also crazy fan theories have started developing. Man! It can get so frustrating!
Every time you say Eshonai and Venli's mother's name out loud all I can hear is "Jack Slim". =p Also, Timbre IS great because they're being given the Chewbacca/R2-D2 treatment. They make noises that mean nothing to US, but then the character's response gives us the proper context to know what they were "saying". Also, Kaladin going full John McClane in Urithuru Tower is so much fun.
I cant belive how this book made me care and love some minor characters like Teft, Navani, Rlain and Dabbid! Renarin is so.underratedly sweet! I so agree
I appreciate you not giving spoilers for Mistborn. I have not read it yet. After Stormlight I’m planning to breeze through Edgedancer and then I’m going to read the Mistborn series 😊
I think part 2 has been my fav so far, but part 4 is great too! Part 3 was slow for me, no shadesmar! I loved the navani chapters, and I totally agree about Raboniel. Like they seem like they could work together but then I'm like, nope, they have such different goals! I don't even have a slight clue who Thaidakar is lol. I'm so bad at predictions!
The thing that most gutted me in Part 3 was discovering that Raboniel had been listening to Navani’s conversations with The Sibling the whole damn time 😧 Navani and Kaladin are under so much stress throughout Part 3 to keep Raboniel from finding the nodes and they ended up leading her right to the third one. Ugh. Raboniel is good a faking people out.
Omg the raboniel and navani/ dalinar and taravangian is so accurate! I loved this pairing. So many ups and downs with her story. So crazy how much I grew to respect navani but also an ancient singer and her goals. So much tension, fear and revalarions!
I know I'm 7 months late, but I just finished RoW and these are by far the best reviews I've seen. Maybe I shouldn't say best, rather the ones I'm most aligned with
My favourite part of the first three is part 2. It's probably because I'm way more into the Shallan (and Adolin) storyline of this book than you are. I find it sooo interesting and I feel like the background reveal will be SO DARK. My theory after part 3 is that Formless isn't really a new almost-persona as Shallan thinks, but that it's actually the one who carries all the darkest memories and trauma and is the one who originally bonded with Pattern. So Pattern is especially loyal to Formless and is lying to Shallan because revealing too much would get Formless into trouble with Mraize, which would be very dangerous. Pattern and Formless are loyal to Mraize because they were forced to be when Shallan was just a child. Can't wait to read part 4!!
One of my faves in this book was definitely Raboniel and loved her interaction with Navani. She is super interesting and even though being an antagonist she helps Navani to become better and more aware ( in my opinion just like how Zane was helping Vin) And regarding Thaidakar..... When his other title was mentioned, it was fully hinting who he is, but somehow i didnt acknowledge it. I am excited for this, even though i dont like his character ever since M:SA.
Taravangian makes me sad too! I pity him so much when he is emotional, crying all the time. I think his mistake was not telling anyone else. If he'd asked for help maybe thing would have turned out different. And I agree so much with the tension of the tower sequences so much. I was scared to read but coudn't stop at the same time! Also loved Navani and Raboniel! I told my friend how in this book everybody hates the humans, haha. The spren, the fused, the singers, the sibling. Everybody! And I found all the flashbacks kinda sad. Right until the last one. They were so doomed from the start. I love, loooove Rlain, I immediately thougth Renarin was thinking of giving him the spren. Overall I loved this part! I felt like a lot happened.
I finished Rhythm of War in 5 days of marathon reading. I could not just put it down and I think it is my favorite in the series so far. I felt so strongly connected with what ever character was feeling the entire book.
Lift annoys me as well :( As an Edgedancer myself (I have the test to prove it!) it bothers me so much that we kinda only get to see them represented through this little beast of a child :)) and I can't help but feel sorry for poor Wyndle... I get her reasoning and, ok, she's a kid, but I'm hoping we get to see her grow up a bit, cause her character right now is very tiresome. ... A bit of an unrelated question that keeps nagging at my brain. Zahel. Where was he during the whole invasion of Urithiru? Did he huddle up somewhere with the civilians? :))) I feel like... he could have helped a little maybe? It would have been nice to see. ... ... SPOILERS ... ... ... I AM SO HYPED FOR THAIDAKAR!!! SO HYPED! He's my fav Mistborn character, and honestly I don't even care if he's a villain :))) I'm just sooooooooooooooo excited to have him in a story again! GAAAAAAAAAH! I'll go be sad in a corner until book 5...
I have the same question about Zahel! Was he with Dalinar in Emul or hiding out somewhere in the Tower? He could have totally helped since his powers weren't suppressed.
Ever Seinfeld (since... but autocorrected “Seinfeld” works too I guess) I did that dang test to “sort” me into my knight radiant order and got mostly Willshaper 3X, I have been like “hell yeah that’s my girl!” Whenever Venli is “on screen”. I now love her character as much as almost anyone outside of Kal. Not sure how much of that is me being a Willshaper fanboy. But she now is my fave and I love her.
This is my favourite part till now 😀 Renarin is talking about Relain I think. Navani's chapters are more like Stormlight classes 😂 but interesting nonetheless. I am flying through part 4 and at the same time don't want to finish the book so soon 😭
Hey everyone, I am starting to be more and more be convinced that book 5 will be renarin's book And he will be the most important person for book 5. Reasons 1st- he can see the future and undermine odium 2nd- he I can unite the 2 races since he bonded the void spren and there are parshandi in his order. 3rd- we don't know his backstory 4th- it will be unexpected if he becomes the hero of the last book. 5th- it was regularly said in the rhythm of war that renarin is a important character.
Spoilers for the last part of RoW: I think 5th book is Szeth book. You can see how they set up his Shinovar quest with Szeth asking Dalinar for permission and Ishar telling him to meet in Shinovar. Renarin's book will be in the second arc of the series.
I'm with you on this, Lift is annoying, even though it hit me when she revealed why she wants to stay little, poor kid. Dalinar.... I'm starting to have a bad feeling, I think he'll mess up really bad, and when he does it will be because he refuses to bend. Jasnah and Wit....no idea what the relationship is, but I'm here for it! Love these two! And I do love Wit, though sometimes I get frustrated with all the mistery. Navani and Raboniel are amazing together and I hope they can stay...friends. Just been through comments to find out who that guy can be and OMG I hope it is him!
I wasn't wanting a Moash redemption, but I also didn't hate him by the end of book 3. However this book has definitely pushed me into the let's hate Moash camp (especially with what happened in part 4).
I loved the science of Roshar but I can see how it would confuse/bore some people. I’m a total math and physics nerd but if you’re not it can be annoying to read. I will say though that high school/first year of college level physics in mechanics, sound and light maybe required reading prior to reading RoW for a fuller understanding.😂
I just finished Part 3! The writing is so good that I'm not really certain of anything in particular going forward. My earlier theory was that Kaladin would effectively train the people from the ardent asylum as squires and Adolin's mission would result in a bunch of honorspren coming to bond them and they'd all rescue the tower... but he's been away from them so I'm not so sure of that now. I'm starting to wonder if the Singers will hold the tower at the end of the book, leaving the heroes in a much weaker state for book 5. Raboniel and Taravangian are huge wildcards, and I'm not sure yet what their motivations are. Maybe the heroes get the tower but Raboniel succeeds in some horrible thing? I have no idea!
From what I understand, Syl is special because she's the only honorspren that survived the Recreance. All the other living honorspren were born afterward. She's the Ancient Daughter because she's the oldest. There might be more to it than that, but there doesn't have to be.
There were two people I thought Glys was talking about: Rlain or Adolin. Rlain felt like the obvious choice because of us seeing the interaction with him and Kaladin in part one, but Adolin still seemed plausible from Renarin's point of view because of how he views his brother (and he may not have known how Adolin felt about his sword).
I TOTALLY agree about Lyft. I don’t like the character. I really didn’t enjoy Edgedancer! Raboniel and Navani’s scenes were the best part of this part for me. Also that exact scene from Friends pops into my mind every time they mention hitting their wrists together 😂 I’m glad I’m not the only one!
1:40 I think I'd be disappointed if Moash got a redemption arc. I can understand why some fallen characters get redemption arcs in fiction, but for me it's this: I have no great yearning to see Moash "good" again, and my dislike of him is so profound that I'm looking forward to seeing him defeated. And I don't want him to get a slow "you were right all along, Kaladin" kind of death; I want him to die a villain. Too many characters get "I've seen the light" deaths in books, I'd prefer Moash didn't. And as for 1:51, no, you are not alone lol. I don't care for Lift or her scenes. She kind of annoys me, I suppose? I race through he portions to get back to the good stuff.
Syl is different because she's the only honorspren left from before the recreance who was created directly by the storm father. I'm not sure if this means she'll make kaladin that much more important and or stronger, though. Edit; when renarin said he has someone in mind to bond a spern like his, I was thinking either Rlain or Dabbid. Still don't know who yet. I'm around the end of part four currently.
I wonder if when Leshwi mentions Syl being ancient, she was wondering if Syl would know Riah. That spren that used to be her friend, that I think was an honorspren?
I think maybe we need more of Adolin as an active character. Maybe you'll like him better as well. Also Adolinalsium for Stormlight Archive arc 2! Heretofore referred to as Adolinawesomium (awesome is Cosmere cannon vocabulary!)
Just finished Part 3. Something that drove me crazy was in Chapter 50 when Lyn reported on what they saw at Urithiru and mentioned that they saw Windrunners and a Lightweaver on the roof with signs, though she and other Radiants couldn't approach the tower without falling unconscious. How could Dalinar not question seeing Radiants on the roof? He should have seen that as a sign that something was wrong. Maybe I was missing something but I wanted to scream at Dalinar. Overall I am loving this book though. Definitely better that Oathbringer for me so far but we will see how this all ends.
RE: The Radiants all being comatose. So far I'm the only person that I've seen draw the comparison to the Hoed in Elantris, but it's totally a nod to the Hoed.
It is a very common opinion. For me I am okay with her but her speech pattern is weird. Like no one in a medieval fantasy should be saying awesome like a ninja turtle!
I don't like Lift either lol. Idk she just doesn't interest me much and I think the street urchin trope is very strong with her. Even though she's probably gonna be very important in the future, I find myself skimming through her sections a lot of times. One thing I liked in ROW however was her struggles with her own body. I'm glad it was addressed.
Spoilers: I thought the moment wit said "you think you know him..i met him.." i knew it was kelsier..but im so sad that kelsier is a villain...he is my favorite mistborn character..
I think it's Kel as well, but don't jump the gun in assuming he'll be a villain or a major villain at least. I doubt he wants to take over the cosmere or some such. Judging by what Vasher said about cognitive shadows, I think Kel's part in all of this has more to do with 'survival' than anything else. Another point is that SA arc 1 (books 1-5) happen before Mistborn era 2.
Wow! An Elliott opinion I disagree with! Because I LOVE Lift and her off-color sense of humor. Her reaction to the arched domes of the Bronze palace? "Looks like a naked lady lying on her back." And don't forget her initial reason for not trusting Dalaran...his cute backside? "You never want to trust an old guy with a tight butt." lol. Hilarious!
Maybe a stupid gripe; the only thing I don't like about the Venli chapters is 'Timbre pulsed... Timbre pulsed... Timbre pulsed' over and over again. I get that's how the spren communicates, but couldn't Sanderson have used a few synonyms? Buzzed? Oscillated? Drummed?
I think all the different names add to the lore and make for effective and believable worldbuilding, it can be kind of confusing at time like there were times where I was like wait, who the hell is Rayse??
Im confused as to whether Navani or Rlain will bond the spren, though it just occured to me that maybe Dabbid could be the one? I think itll most likely be Rlain though... And I really hope Venli officially joins their side soon, I'm tired of following her around the evil ones.
@@ebnovels it's in the chapter 64 epigraph. Some kind of chain from the land of the dead. Which is probably referring to Threnody (Shadows for Silence in the Forests of Hell). May be it's made of silver or some god metal or an alloy of the two given that she says it's extremely valuable. The other interesting in the epigraph is that refers to Cognitive Anomalies (there's supposed one near Nalthis) and the chain somehow helps with travel though these. But it's useless for Raboniel bcz of her Connection to the Rosharan system means she can't leave from there. Speculation on my part (assuming it is from Threnody), perhaps this object is related to the "ritual" that is required or performed to Shades on Threnody which Nazh talked about in Mistborn: Secret History.
I don't totally hate Wit, but I definitely don't love him. He is super interesting and I always like him being around because he gives me information but I guess I'm cautious of him.
Idk if this is this unpopular opinion but I did feel like this book was as slow as Oathbringer till end of Part 3. One of the reasons was what you mentioned about the the flashback chapters. There just wasn't much to them so it would get tedious at times. And the second thing was science but not for the reason most ppl would think. I don't think I've had issues with plots when it comes to Dalinar but that whole music/light thing? Big problem. You have people called Listeners/Singers who were the natives, you know everything is about the rhythms, you had Kabsal show Jasnah and Shallan the thing with the plates and the cities in book 1 and we have geniuses like Jasnah and Navani. Women who were trained in music theory. And you are seriously telling me NO ONE had thought of this before?? Naaah
Wyndle is awesome, Lift I don't get. She's a nice side character and some of her interactions with other characters are cool but even having read Edgedancer I still don't like Lift as a POV character. I guess I don't like children as POV characters anyways so that might be it but somehow I think it's not that simple either.
I didn’t like Lift at first either, but she grew on me. I will say that the writing for her personality feels a little out of place with the style of the rest of the book. Which I realize it’s intentional but it can feel jarring to me sometimes.

I finished the book yesterday and NO ONE prepared me for the rollercoaster of emotions that is Part 5. Oh my goodness, I literally cried around ten times and had to go back and reread certain chapters of Part 5 just so I can grasp everything all over. Now onto my thoughts about Part 3:
Wow, this Part solidified the fact that this was the darkest Stormlight book.
And that Dog and the Dragon story....Christ 😭😭😭😭😭
He deserves all the love.
I feel eactly the same way
Oh god, Raboniel's daughter. I had to pause my audiobook so I could sob for an hour.
And what happens to them in the end....It was incredibly SAD!
@@henrywayne5724 I can't. I was planning on rereading the book to pick up some things I missed. Oh also, I was listening to it in audiobook format and the actor who plays Raboniel when talking to her daughter.
I just.
I couldn't function
You know the line. That liiiiine 😭
@@dunnejos8423 I was physically reading it and I just... couldn't. I was sobbing so hard such that even with the dreadful way the chapter ended, I didn't even give it much thought because the death was just too painful.
Navani and Raboniel sections are awesome. Kals awesome as usual. With each part the book gets better and better.
Yeah, I could see a redeeming moment...just not a whole arc 😆
I agree. One moment like Darth Vader but that doesn't mean he is totally redeemed!
Pfff he needs to just be dead already. As soon as he killed Elhokar in front of his 4 year old son he lost any hope of forgiveness from me. And he’s just worse now. Just gross.
“He wasn’t sorry for killing Teft. He was sorry for the way it made him feel.”
Just gross.
Also yes, Dalinar did the same thing in his younger days. And I was livid about it and it took many pages before I begrudgingly forgave him. And sometimes I remember he did that and feel a little bitter even now.
Yes, I am a mom. It probably influences my feelings. But still...
@@AmeliaOak I feel the same way!
thanks for breaking up the chats by parts! it's great to watch these while I work my way through and allows for way more discussion than a 10min review of the whole thing :)
‘Harsher!’
I think Renarin is referring to Rlain as the one who could bond the spren? Maybe?
Im gonna straight up say that you are the coolest, most down to earth person covering books on RUclips. Elliot you are an inspiration to us all and you honestly look like you love doing what you do. You make people with depression think that they can actually be happy. Please never change, and good luck on this endeavor of making videos your job. May all the good things that you deserve, come to you . Thank You
This may be old news at this point, but the Bridge 4 salute is sign language for the word ‘protect’
Oh I didn't know ! So cool !!
It was at this point that I first had the thought, related to a long time puzzle "Why has nobody taken on the honour shard?" It rather seems to me that Syl is being set up to carry the Honour shard and Kaladin takes Odium(?) creating a balanced Harmony like shard between them.
LIFT IS THE BEST though :)
*SPOILER Thaidakar Speculation*
I had *no* idea.
@@helenFX i doubt its gonna be sane as scadrial... Brandon is nothing but unpredictable
Now that’s relatable. There’s so much meta lore that you have to dig to discover
Every time you say Eshonai and Venli's mother's name out loud all I can hear is "Jack Slim". =p
Also, Timbre IS great because they're being given the Chewbacca/R2-D2 treatment. They make noises that mean nothing to US, but then the character's response gives us the proper context to know what they were "saying".
Also, Kaladin going full John McClane in Urithuru Tower is so much fun.
Part THREE people, not two!
Yes.. I was a bit confused by title and had to check my progress 😂
I cant belive how this book made me care and love some minor characters like Teft, Navani, Rlain and Dabbid!
Renarin is so.underratedly sweet! I so agree
It’s got to be part 5 for me, like every SA book. But the whole book is still so good!
Awesome review, girl! You are doing great. Keep doing you and we will keep coming back for more 🤓👍!
Well thanks, that’s very kind!
You've gotten so much more engaging in your reviews and chats. Thoroughly entertaining. Keep going.
I agree, I'm super surprised at how much this book has made me love Navani.
Also, Wit is my second favorite character behind Shallan.
The thing that most gutted me in Part 3 was discovering that Raboniel had been listening to Navani’s conversations with The Sibling the whole damn time 😧
Navani and Kaladin are under so much stress throughout Part 3 to keep Raboniel from finding the nodes and they ended up leading her right to the third one.
"Wit is an asshole"

Thaidakar..... barer of scars. And a ghost.. i don't need to say more i think
Wait... OMG
That would be beautiful!
Whoa!!! I could get behind that!
what does this mean what does this mean? How is this possible? Someone please explain!!!!
I love all the stuff about life light and stormlight and Fabrials are so interesting!!!
One of my faves in this book was definitely Raboniel and loved her interaction with Navani. She is super interesting and even though being an antagonist she helps Navani to become better and more aware ( in my opinion just like how Zane was helping Vin)
And regarding Thaidakar.....

I think I’ll feel more strongly about Venli upon rereads; first time through, I almost feel as though I was more fascinated with their culture.
This is my favourite part till now 😀 Renarin is talking about Relain I think. Navani's chapters are more like Stormlight classes 😂 but interesting nonetheless. I am flying through part 4 and at the same time don't want to finish the book so soon 😭
I totally think Moash will get some redemption, but I don’t think it’ll be until the very end of his life.
Hey everyone,
I am starting to be more and more be convinced that book 5 will be renarin's book
And he will be the most important person for book 5.
Reasons
1st- he can see the future and undermine odium
2nd- he I can unite the 2 races since he bonded the void spren and there are parshandi in his order.
3rd- we don't know his backstory
4th- it will be unexpected if he becomes the hero of the last book.
5th- it was regularly said in the rhythm of war that renarin is a important character.
Spoilers for the last part of RoW:
I think 5th book is Szeth book. You can see how they set up his Shinovar quest with Szeth asking Dalinar for permission and Ishar telling him to meet in Shinovar. Renarin's book will be in the second arc of the series.
Book 5 is already set for Szeth google the coppermind 17th shard and the set up for books 1-10
Cosmere spoilers:
At the time I thought Thaidakar was not any character we have already meet, but omg how shocked I was to find out it was Kelsier
Um, I know you said spoilers first but I was not prepared for that!!! 😭
My favorite part in the whole book is hands down chapter 80. I know it's not part 3, but still, I love it down to the chapter title
I love Whit but I don't trust him one bit lol 😂
You're not the only one who finds Lift annoying :D I feel sorry for the poor Wyndle :D
From what I understand, Syl is special because she's the only honorspren that survived the Recreance. All the other living honorspren were born afterward. She's the Ancient Daughter because she's the oldest. There might be more to it than that, but there doesn't have to be.
I would think there would be, giving how she’s spoken of. Idk, there still seems to be some kind of mystery with her imo! 🧐
@@ebnovels Yeah it for sure could be. I really hope there is more to it, but I don't think I'll be disappointed if there isn't is all I'm saying.
I can't decide which one was my favorite. I loved the whole book.
Navani and Raboniel scenes were my favorite, with Jasnah and Wit being my 2nd favorite
How can you not like Lift? o_O' Hers are the funniest moments in the series (except for Pattern and Syl being cute dummies)
Lift is full of awesomeness
Renarin is precious!!! ❤️❤️❤️
Hahahaha, yay! I too am glad I’m not the only one 🤣
Yes, I agree about Moash! It won’t make up for all the bad stuff he’s done! (Nothing can)
@@lyndseymurray8065 Thank you kindly. I'm right there with you.
Lift is amazing. I mean, we ALL thought about using shardblades as something other than a weapon. How you gonna beat a shardfork?
I was an elegant fork, wasn’t I?
I can never forgive moash after what he did in this book!
Chapter 70 really unnerved me.
I really get nasty feelings from someone being traped underwater, it felt like if I were also trapped😣
You're not alone. I also don't like Lift. Hopefully she matures in the 2nd arc
I also don't like Lift. Thank you for making me feel less alone in that.
It is a very common opinion.
For me I am okay with her but her speech pattern is weird. Like no one in a medieval fantasy should be saying awesome like a ninja turtle!
I had fear for the people that Adolin was fighting in Shadesmar is who I had genuine fear for.
I think wit will turn out to be sazed even tho they have different personalities it’s just hunch iv been having ever since he came up
Spoilers:
I thought the moment wit said "you think you know him..i met him.." i knew it was kelsier..but im so sad that kelsier is a villain...he is my favorite mistborn character..
"Looks like a naked lady lying on her back."
And don't forget her initial reason for not trusting Dalaran...his cute backside? "You never want to trust an old guy with a tight butt." lol. Hilarious!
Moash bragging about not giving a f and yet being so obsessed with Kalading is so annoying to me tbh.
My last name is Tefft, it's close. I was so upset when he died 😢
Kaladin is the 1 view ;)
I dont like lift either. You're not alone
Just finished the book!
Pretty sure we know what the advance payment from Mraize.
Haha, what do you think it was?
The Video title is misspelled XD
Ya lol part 3

I don't totally hate Wit, but I definitely don't love him. He is super interesting and I always like him being around because he gives me information but I guess I'm cautious of him.
It’s starting to feel like this book is not going to have a happy ending 🥺
Naaah

My husband hates Wit! I don't get it.

You are not alone in disliking Lift. She feels too much like a middle grade worldhopper that doesn't fit on Roshar.
Hahaha, a middle grade Worldhopper from Earth specifically
