Rob is clearly a special human. This managed to go well beyond watch content while remaining rooted to the earth. The candor and humility were positively moving.
A watch enthusiast to his core. Great love and attachment to his watches, and he has used them in ways most people only dream of. Thank you on behalf of all the watch world for your service as well!
By far one of my favorite interviews Tim has done. A tool watch lover and collector who wears his tool watches. And a navy seal to boot. Many thanks for your service and sacrifice. And for sharing your collection. We have the exact same taste and a lot of the same watches, even down to the BB Pro which is next on the list! Such a relatable collection and passionate watch guy. National Geographic played a huge role in my love of tool watches as well! And I can totally relate to the calming impact of watching Tim’s review videos. Until you shared your habit of watching Tim’s review videos as a way to calm down or get out of a funk, I didn’t realize that I do the exact same thing. And I’m similarly fascinated by the artificial creation of time keeping and the watch represents that for me in a similar way. Really cool and validating video. Cheers, Guys!
Thank you for your kind words about Rob and for your support of my work here on WB. This video reflects the best of what we've done as a multimedia team and band of enthusiasts. Best, Tim
Wow, what a fantastic interview! I was completely captivated from start to finish. The questions were thought-provoking, and the guest's answers were insightful and inspiring. Kudos to Tim for creating such an engaging conversation. I learned so much and came away feeling truly inspired. Can't wait for more content like this!
Totally agree. Maybe the nicest guy on the show up to now. A true Miyamoto Musashi (warrior / appreciator of the beautiful things / poet / gentleman). 👏👏👏
Gun violence doesn't hardly exist in small cities. My city is over 20000 and only 1 person shot and killed my whole life of 41 years. But it sounds like it's bad in the big cities. Be safe
I know the feeling I get when I make the cut for viewer wrist shots so I can imagine his excitement for being on a full episode of Collector Conversation. Truly happy for you my man! And much respect for trying to do something about gun violence in this country.
The watches are nice but I'm more impressed with Rob & his military career & service to our country & what he's doing now about mass shootings . Thank You Rob 🙏
Such a nice guy, and as a British military veteran, it’s great to meet one of our US counterparts and see his awesome watch collection too. My first visit to the channel, and loved it. Good luck to you Rob 👍🏼
This is by far my favourite ''collector conversation'' about watches. Not only by Watchbox Studios, but on RUclips's watch content as a whole. Just awesome collection and the storys behind them. Not just another collector who has all the hot watches, and we all know what I mean by that. Thanks guys.
Parkland resident here. My daughter was on the middle school campus that’s shared with Stoneman Douglas High on 2/14/18. I didn’t expect the first time I’d see her on TV was running across the street with my wife away from the school that horrible, horrible afternoon. Thank you for your service Rob, both in uniform and now with Zeroeyes.
Rob, thanks for protecting our country and sharing your watch collecting journey and the role serving for our country has played! And your personal experiences with your Rolex is a testimony to the strength Rolex continues to play in the market today. At the same time, Omega, Tudor, Grand Seiko, etc. what a great collection! And if you find you need assistance helping your business develop into its full potential, do not hesitate to reach out.
Maybe my favorite collector video of all time. Totally relatable and inspirational all at the same time. Thank you to both gentlemen for sharing this. I have only one question. Which was worse, being in a gunfight or wearing a Grand Seiko bracelet for a while? 😉
Man that really touched me when he talked about the helicopter shot down and knowing everyone on board. I can feel his pain. I really thank him for sharing this story that he knows most people will never truely understand.
Rob and Tim, an awesome interview. 👍 As with most warriors, I feel a connection with Rob that goes beyond just military [Naval] service and watches. Like myself, National Geographic played a big part in our appreciation for Rolex, albeit 30 years apart. Loved the references Japanese culture, Miyamoto Musashi [Book the Five Rings]. Star Wars as Japan's iconic actor Toshiro Mifune [The Seven Samurai-Kurosawa] was Lucas's first choice to play Obi-Wan Kenobi. As a young Marine Huey pilot in the 80s, I too loved Magnum PI, and wore my GMT Pepsi while I watched. 😎
This is the most meaningful, if not the only meaningful, collector’s interview I have seen anywhere! The personal connections to the watches are outstanding. This type of interview tends to leave me thinking negatively that the collector has too much money and time on their hands. Huberty, however, has earned every piece! I also agree that watches are a happy place in any circumstance and Tim Mosso videos always leave you smiling.
Great video Tim! I seldom sit through a 40min video but the exchange back and forth and Rob’s personal stories (inspiring and tragic as life can be) we’re captivating! Love to see the connection he had and with certain pieces and his military journey and the knowledge and passion as a collector! Need more of these!! 👏👏
Rob Huberty is such a likeable person. He was as humble, honest and generous with his kindness as he is relatable (child of the 80’s lol). This episode was a joy to watch. I wish for Mr. Huberty’s success in a safer world in part from his work and many more dream watches.
Love this. Not a watch snob who collects watches just because "this watch is one of xxx." Just a regular guy, who like many of us, aspired to the watches of his heroes, saved for them, and earned them. A hero indeed.
Great video as always, and great storytelling. I love the way he integrated his love for watches into his journey as a SEAL. I’d love love videos like this - less about what collectors own and more about *why* they own.
The stories behind these watches are fascinating and why I love watches. Such a brilliant episode. Congrats for being able to bring this together. Such an interesting guy who’s lived a life we will never know truly how it feels. Proper hero 👍
What a Superb Segment... I truly enjoyed it! Tim you are a wonderful host. In that you allow guests to express their expriences without interruption... Mr. Huberty thank you for sharing your Amazing Collection and some wonderful memories. Without a doubt your service to this country is quite Inspirational. Thank you... Cheers!
Wonderful interview, I think the watches obviously became secondary to the life experiences this gentleman has shared. A deep sadness many of couldn’t bare to imagine that you have gone through. You are here today thankfully, doing something so commendable, highest respects .. and such lovely watches 😊👏
Retired Military...Inspiring to watch and learn some military history to boot. Tim is brilliant and Rob is an amazing young, Gent. Fitting to watch on Veterans Day (Observed) Thanks to all the Vets out there and may God Bless and keep you all.
I agree with the sailor in regards to Tims videos. Tim, you have been my favorite watch reviewer for a while now, so it’s cool to see others appreciate your videos as much as I do. Really love these “talking watches” videos, as well. Keep up the good work!
I think ever comment I have seen echos the many thoughts and admiration for this hero. Well done everyone involved. Now WatchBox let’s setup a go fund me to get this guy a 1655.
What a candid, unpretentious heart warming genuine discussion which truly casts shadows on his childhood dreams and wrist aspirations, kinda reminds me of my own as a child, flicking through NEEWSWEEK / TIME magazines scanning for those 70s Rolex ADs.....very concise discussion, probably the best I have listened to!
Thank you for your service, sir. Also, thank you for sharing your collection with us,the viewer. Tim is definitely impressive with his knowledge of Horology. This was a fantastic episode, and I can’t thank you both enough for everything that each of you have given everyone.
Big fan of the channel and I have thoroughly enjoy this episode; what he’s shared has really made me appreciate some of these watches and the stories, thank you so much for sharing. And I agree, repetition does work Tim. I also watch your channel to relax 👍
Great video and what an interesting guy. As others have mentioned, his efforts to reduce mass shootings is beyond heroic, I wish him all the luck in the world, a truly clever, worthy and honest man. I love watch channels, they can be so educational.
Wow, what a video! Soothing, unpretentious and relatable. I really don't know what else to say. The absolute best RUclips video I've seen in a long time. If possible could you do something similar with a firefighter/paramedic? Thank you, stay safe.
Wow thanks for this. I can relate so much. I've been pretty chilled out as opposed to the first 3 or so years in the hobby. Now, I can really consider what would make me happy and less impulsivity. Thanks, great video
Such a cool video as someone who is building a collection I like to have watches that have meaning to me and glad other people feel the same way about watches. Rob if you come across this comment thank you for your service.
A very entertaining episode. Thoroughly enjoyed listening to Rob describing his watch collecting journey. Fantastic watch collection and also, a fine gentleman.
This was great, thanks for sharing with us. I can absolutely relate to Rob’s enjoyment of Tim’s videos. Whenever I’m considering something new, I turn to those videos to learn about the watch and determine if it’ll work for me.
Tim at his best. And his guest is a real hero with an authentic passion for watches, and true class. Puts the videos of rich pompous watch collectors to shame
Go vintage Rob. You won't regret it. Such beautiful pieces in the late 60's and 70's. And, you won't find anybody in the wild wearing whatever vintage watch is on your wrist. Tons of joy in vintage. But if you don't, that's fine, more for me. ;)
This was probably the best interview Watchbox has ever done. Just great.
Keep coming back to this interview. Masterful interviewing, good storytelling, and cozy setting. Beautiful
Rob is clearly a special human. This managed to go well beyond watch content while remaining rooted to the earth. The candor and humility were positively moving.
agreed - a superb video

Sign that man up as a Watchbox ambassador. As he is a true poet, warrior, gentleman. And God bless him for his role in trying to curb gun violence.
This. Very much agree.
Totally agree. Maybe the nicest guy on the show up to now. A true Miyamoto Musashi (warrior / appreciator of the beautiful things / poet / gentleman). 👏👏👏
Agreed
Hell ya best episode

This is one of the best pieces of watch content I’ve ever seen. And that’s saying a lot. Kudos to the both of you. Thank you.
This dude keeps gaining my respect….helping curb school shootings and helping vets…outstanding!
The watches are nice but I'm more impressed with Rob & his military career & service to our country & what he's doing now about mass shootings . Thank You Rob 🙏
I felt the same way. My goal always is to feature unique stories, but this one might be one-of-a-kind.
Best,
Tim

My new favorite T. Mosso Collector convention. Bravo to Tim and Rob.
Thank you too this gentleman for his service and thank you for sharing this Tim.

Impressed with guys mission of his company. And oh, by the way impressed with the stories of his watches.

One of the very best watch collecting videos I've seen for quite a while. Thanks. Enjoyed the 40 min. :)
Awesome Tim! Love that our hero’s get to enjoy the passion and that it helps then
Incredibly strong man for opening up about his experiences and tragedies. Watches unite!
Rob Huberty is such a likeable person. He was as humble, honest and generous with his kindness as he is relatable (child of the 80’s lol). This episode was a joy to watch. I wish for Mr. Huberty’s success in a safer world in part from his work and many more dream watches.
My dad was a frogman on UDT 21 (0-4) and was issued a Rolex Sub. He was one of the few that turned it in after his service.
Love this. Not a watch snob who collects watches just because "this watch is one of xxx." Just a regular guy, who like many of us, aspired to the watches of his heroes, saved for them, and earned them. A hero indeed.
One of the better watchbox collector conversations of all time. So great!

Fantastic video. You can tell the passion he has for each of his watches. Great collection. I hope he gets that Patek one day.

This is the best of Wolf's AD. I bought a Wolf watch box after watching this video :)
Such a cool video as someone who is building a collection I like to have watches that have meaning to me and glad other people feel the same way about watches. Rob if you come across this comment thank you for your service.
This was very enjoyable. Many points to empathise and relate to a person whos life has little in common with my own.
What a fantastic conversation!
more of these, less of, "please tell us about the rise of the independents and how you bought a FPJ resonance from us" pleaseeeeee
Haha fking independent watch snobs need to be stamped on like roaches.
Guaranteed.
Best,
Tim
True great segment WatchBox Studios kudos!
