I've done it consciously with my mother before, I still remember the mental image she sent me. It probably only happened within like 3 seconds but those 3 seconds felt like forever while I was piecing together the picture. The thing is telepathy isn't like texting where you can send random technical information, it's easiest to send mental images or emotions. It's more likely to work if the two people involved have known each other for a long time and do not currently have strong emotions towards each other. The setup should be as neutral as possible and both should step in open minded.

Meanwhile I’ve experienced “telepathy” with my best friend several times now both sober and on LSD. LSD and psychedelics don't increase the net amount of brain activity, but they spread it more liberally around parts of the brain where there wasn't much activity before. Brain activity is overall reduced, but is increased to compensate in other areas of the brain. Telepathy, in this way, wouldn't be possible. It's just your perception of the trip. I've experienced similar things, but it was just because we happened to be thinking the same thing about a TV show or song at the same time. When you're on a psyche, you experience an effect called "personal meaning enhancement" that involves thinking that mundane and explainable things such as coincidences are evidence of something greater and unexplainable when, in reality, they're just coincidences. Meanwhile I’ve experienced “telepathy” with my best friend several times now both sober and on LSD. Of course the LSD enhanced our connection, and really just made us feel like one connected being during the experience, but I do believe there are tools in the form of psychedelics that can really show people that there’s this hive mind consciousness in all life forms. Hell, even my cat and I have a stronger form of connection now thanks to my experiences. 😂(These are all just my theories of course) Another theory is that there are infinite possibilities that our minds couldn’t possibly fathom, and in order to “tap in” to those other dimensions of thought and reality, we have to use the tools and psychedelic compounds provided to us, much like how we use tools in our everyday life to make it easier (such as utensils for eating, or vehicles for traveling further and faster.) I'm sorry to burst your bubble, but that's all a farce. LSD and psychedelics don't increase the net amount of brain activity, but they spread it more liberally around parts of the brain where there wasn't much activity before. Brain activity is overall reduced, but is increased to compensate in other areas of the brain.
Telepathy, in this way, wouldn't be possible. It's just your perception of the trip. I've experienced similar things, but it was just because we happened to be thinking the same thing about a TV show or song at the same time. When you're on a psyche, you experience an effect called "personal meaning enhancement" that involves thinking that mundane and explainable things such as coincidences are evidence of something greater and unexplainable when, in reality, they're just coincidences.
Not trying to be a buzzkill, but psychedelics are not a portal into another universe or objective reality. They distort our subjective reality. LSD can definitely enhance your connection with someone, but not in an objective way. It's still your perception.
You haven't experienced telepathy. There is no evidence of telepathy outside of these studies existing. It's physically impossible for neuronal/electrical activity to escape your brain and somehow float into someone else's brain and attach to the EXACT same area of the brain it escaped from. Not only is that nearly statistically impossible, but it is also impossible given what we know about physics.
Remember, consciousness is subjective. In the grand scheme of things, it only exists and has meaning because we apply that meaning to it. We don't have free will, only the perception of free will. No one is truly a "free-thinker." Psychedelics can help us avoid feeling that way and they can also help us become more attached to whatever meaning of life exists to *ourselves*, but it's still all subjective. You can't prove to me your consciousness just as I can't prove mine to you, because no one will ever know.
Hopefully this study changes that, but please stop spreading this kind of misinformation about psychedelics, it's only going to make people stigmatize them more by thinking the people who take them have been made crazy by them. Because people actually think that when they read things like this.
