Currently, ExScan software does not support macOS system. You'd better use Windows system because EinScan Pro HD requires high-performance Nvidia graphic cards which Macbook Pro does not use. Please note that the compute capability of Nvidia graphic cards has to be ≥ 5.0.
From what I have read and asked about from vendors, something with a decent i7 processor, GTX 1060 graphics card, and 16gb of RAM is suitable. A lot of the software (if you plan to use GeoMagic for example) recommend as much as 64 gb of RAM. I imagine depending on the size and number of models/scans you want to work with, that RAM usage will change dramatically. For small objects I'm sure 16-32 will suffice, we plan to try and stitch together scans to create an entire vehicle and have an 80 gb of RAM machine with a newer gen i7 processor in preparation. The vendor I spoke with said they use a Dell G7 for their purposes to give you a reference point. You're probably looking at a 1200-1500 price point for a suitable laptop.
I don't know why among 3 laptops, it ran only on the one with GTX 1660 Ti. It almost doesn't use the 1660 though, i see most load on the Intel GFX. But the Geforce just has to be there. It won't run on something like Nvidia MX series GPU.

These demos work so well. My HD Pro couldn't do any of that. Loses tracking the whole time. I think these demos are very carefully prepared.
