I'm from Germany, am no real good help but I'm a kynologist and dogtrainer and I'm looking often for new homes and I hope these tipps will help you a little bit! Look for a nearby German Shepard Association, or also for Dog Sports Association. Talk to them, explain the situation and the dog and ask for help. Also there are some very kindly breeders who knows the szene and know good people for German Shepards. ASK the shelters around. When you found someone, let this person first give you a visit and have a walk together. A German Shepard needs knowledge!!! This person should have owned one before! It needs to be a kind, patient person that will prove to the dog that it's worth to follow and beeing partners. Then give this person a visit. A German Shepard needs good food, health insurance or health care, toys, collars, leashes, ....more toys, it's not cheap. The home needs to be clean and big enough, are there pictures of the dogs the person owned before? Is everything there the dog needs? Sign a contract! The person who adopt the dog is not allowed to sell the dog, you are allowed to visit the dog and so on.
Driving home with our 8 month old adopted GSD, my parents' gift for my 12th birthday, she sat as far away from me on the back bench seat of our car as she could, pressed against the door. Over 30 minutes she slowly inched towards me on the seat, until she rested her head on my lap and went to sleep. For the next 11 years she was always at my side.
I have 2. GSDs are soooo smart and easy to train. They are velcro dogs for sure, but would not change that at all. Yes, all is true and are very much attached to me.
All so true, I have had 6 GSDs over 25 years; 2 at a time. I started when I had a 20 acre ranch; ended up with 2 so they would have company when I worked. Mine are all from German show lines, very healthy, smart, loving and dedicated. I love my Heidi and Charlie so much, especially since my husband died and I am alone. They are my family. They are very friendly to new friends and helpers. But they know when they meet a potential burglars. They can smell something I cannot detect. They have been correct every time. But they need a parent, a handler, to treat them well.
I've owned dogs for close to 35 yrs, and have had GSDs, Labs, Bostons, Dobermans. I currently have a crew of 4, two Bostons and two GSDs. I'm on my second pair of GSDs. Love them to death. I'm single, older, and my GSDs, past and present, have shown many times what wonderful, loyal, protective, loving dogs they are. No breed like them as far as I'm concerned.

So so true. I've personally had 5 in my life and they all have their different quirks. Talking about my baby girl, Mindy is attached to my left hip 24 hours a day. Sleeps with me and she TALKS I swear. Like one of those Alaskan Husky dogs!!!!!!! Very unique. Boy she gets extreamly excited when I come home. When I'm putting on my shoes getting ready to go to work, she grabs one of my shoes and runs off with it. Doesn't want me to go. Here gift of, look dad ,I got you something, dead snake, squirl, birds, possums, coons It's her yard, nothing is safe if it's inside our fenced back yard. If it has a heartbeat, it's dead. She also has sundowner syndrome. As soon as the sun goes down, she starts her growling and patrolling our yard back and forth, in and out. She's learned how to open doors and even the refrigerator. Funny as shit. But we caint keep a kitchen hand rag on the door. She will open the fridge and start eating everything.
I've had German shepherd's in my life since I was 13 years old and I am now 58.my grandad got me my first rescue German shepherd for my 13th birthday. He helped me train Sandy. They love to work with you. If you put in the time and training and patience with them. You will have a fantastic and great dog At all the time. They are just a beautiful family dog you will be lucky to have a shower never mind a bath as your shepard will be in the bathroom with you. And they are the best baby sitter ever. My 2 German shepherd's MISTY AND ODIN love kids especially my family grandkids. I live right beside a primary school. All the kids and teachers know our dogs. A lot of the kids used to be scared of MISTY AND ODIN at first because of their size...Not now as through time they got used to them both. I've said it before and I'll say it again you don't get an ugly German shepherd either. I am biased ofcourse and I don't care just love the breed. Fantastic dogs too have in your life. Love from Glasgow Scotland.xx
My son gave his 5 yr old gsd "Titan" to his aunt Carol (my older sister) because he got too busy with school and work. Carol takes care of an autistic young man named Corey. The moment Corey walks in, that dog is ON DUTY. Its amazing to watch this dog communicate with and love that boy who can hardly speak. The patience, loyalty and concern is unmatched. I have had two GSDs myself. There is no better breed.
I grew up with a German Shepherd. And most of the time, especially after my mom died, it felt like my doggo was trying to act like my mom. Even trying to make sure i got up and ready for school. German Shepherds are the one thing we as a species did right.
Yes, my boy greets me at the door everyday after work, jumps in his chair and i have to twll him how much i missed him dueing the day while he stares in my eyes. The best breed! IMO
Four German Shepherd dogs over the years, all totally different personalities, we still talk of their impact on us. Three were totally ruled by tigger ( the cat, who left home every time we got a new pup). I do sometimes think they were better friends then humans. True love. True love.simple as that.
I agree and am also on my 4th. Max is 7 now and starting to slow down but still living his best life. While walking, he used to pull me,mow o pull him!
@moon_dog4 oh my friend, you have pure heartache to come. I so sorry. God bless you. You, like me have had a real blessing. God's gift to humanity is dogs. Especially German Shepherds. ❤
I only had a shepherd mix and all of these are true. I was leaving our beach house. I put her on the front porch until I was packed up. She went down the front stairs and back up the back stairs to watch through the door. My brother, she’s not letting you leave without her. And she slept curled up behind my legs in a twin bed. She actually growled when my niece came in the room. She was very attached to me and very protective. Of course I corrected the growl. She was just unsure. I miss her so much. Thank you for the video.
I agree with everything you mentioned. I had my German Sheppard since he was 8 weeks old. He follows me everywhere around the house. Including the bathroom. I made the mistake of letting him sleep in my bed next to me when he was still a small puppy😂. Unfortunately, male "Old German Sheppards" get really big once they get older, so I had to buy a king-size bed. Now he has also his own place in my bedroom, but he prefers to sleep next to me. I do not mind, actually. More washing and more cleaning. He's very sweet and very socially towards other people, children, dogs... I raised him well. When we go hiking into the forrest, he never loses eyecontact. I do not have to use a leash. Where I go, he goes. Amazing bound and unbelievable loyal. I usually work from home in my study room, and from time to time, I have to leave him alone. When I return, he's overjoyed, starting to lick me. He loves hugging. Yep, he definitely sees me as his parent. He loves people in general, but I have no doubt that he would defend me if a stranger attacked me. Nobody in his right mind would do that anyway. Sometimes I go to the city with him (he knows this since he was a puppy, including traffic, public transport...) He's really tall and very black for a German Sheppard. The funniest part, although he loves people, is that most people cross the street when he's with me. In the metro, I always have enough place when he's with me. People who do know him are not afraid and come over to cuttle him, which he enjoys very much. SOCIALISATION is so important.
@yvesgysel9834 Mine is a rescue I’ve had since July 2023, about 14 months old, still growing & HUGE! I had to retire his GSD bed & get one for Great Danes! He is so sweet & calm, & ❤ to carry his soft 🐊 or LambChop soft toys, but folks are scared of him too. I was worried that what I really wanted, a male GSD, wasn’t a good idea since I’m older & live in a condo on the 25th fl, but it has worked out beautifully! He even makes sure I get down the stairs safely & is my best buddy. Getting great exercise with walking him too! TP to most = 🧻 but for us, TP means 🚽 Protection😊 I also know he would defend me with his life as well. My favorite command is when I tell him, “Elevator Manners,” & he sits & stays quietly for the ride.
Same here! My gsd girl will be 1 on June 1st and has been in heat for past 2 weeks. She's even more lovey-dovey right now, and that's fine with me! Love having an 85 lb. Lap dog!
Congrats! You have a wonderful bond ahead of you. My girl was a foster fail. Before she arrived I was sadly convinced she'd bond to my husband rather than me, as she was his friend's puppy so he was more familiar. Instead he brought her home and she beelined straight to my side, and has never left since! ❤️
We just took a sweet White German Shepherd in that needed a new home. She’s seriously the best sweetest dog I’ve ever had. She’ll just flop her head on my chest and just stare at me.
Watched a vid a while back saying how dogs hate it when you hug them. Supposedly makes them feel trapped. My GSD absolutely loved them. He'd lean into them and didnt care how long you'd hold him.
Just got a working line German shepherd a little over a year ago. Love how she always lays next to the bed when I sleep. Always lays under my desk when I work. One of the best connections I have ever had between me and a dog.
They love being given little chores to do for you! Makes them feel important and useful. Always give praise when they do these things. We lost our GSD Rambo Oct '23:due to health related age issues. He was so loyal, so loving, so protective, so smart, so sweet, so funny, and so majestic. We miss our boy and loved him sooo much.❤
We've had GSDs for well over 30 yrs now. I'm also a retired K9 officer and right now we have two young male GSDs. Gunnar is 1.5 yrs old and Blitz is 2. Both fit everything to a tee in the vid even though they are HIGHLY trained protection(Schutzhund) pups. All are imports(of course) and have their pink papers.
Thank you for your service and willingness to put your life on the line for the public. Regarding the lines, we are finally seeing a straightening of the spine. This is where we need to be. The importing of European bred dogs can be advantageous for show and work purposes. I also believe that breeding selectively for that show stance was a disaster for the dogs. I have one large male, 100 pounds of pure perfection. He is going on 14, and his back is more like the "Rin-Tin-Tin," of old. People have repeatedly asked if he's 💯, because of his build. Oh yes! Answers to " Handsome" when people don't know his name. Dealing now with old age, nothing major since we were selected to adopt. He worked exceptionally well and is now enjoying his golden time. We thank God for every day he's with us.
@@howlingwaters2741 Gunnar is of the East German lines and deff has the more sloping type spine. Blitz is Chech and he too is sloped. Blitz turned 2 in Dec and weighs 102 and Gunnar will be 2 in June. He weighs 95. Both are Schutzhund 2
Good video even though I disagree with the separation anxiety as a sign of healthy attachment. This is a weakness not a virtue. A strong, sound, and secure German Shepherd would not show separation anxiety or destructive behavior when their parents leave the house. They may sit quietly by the door for an hour or so hoping you will return and get very happy once you come back, but otherwise they don't panic or get anxious.
My dog had separation anxiety when he was a puppy. If I went in the house he would wine and howl. If I went into the garage, he knew I was leaving and was ok with that. So it was a struggle to get him to understand that he couldn’t come in the house with me. We did it though about 2 months. I had to go out to garage and walked around to the front door so that he wouldn’t wine. 😂😉
Well if your getting a German Shepard from a show line they already are the weaker breed so that would make sense i personally love the working line of German Shepard there so damn smart it’s amazing
I had to go,out of town for 3 months recently and when I got back home our German Shepard was so excited and happy to see us he licked me for almost two days lol. They are amazing animals.
Absolutely beautiful video, the images and videos are stunning to watch, your voice is so soft, I smiled all the way through, im in Scotland, UK, I have an 8yr old male called Rocco, I bought him from a site we have here and found out that I was gonna be his 3rd mummy and he was only 16 months old, BOY was he a problem, fantastic when I we got him, then it started the day we got home, no children ( but 1 teenager ) and hubby, he growled, snapped, bit to the point of bleeding.....but not to me after a few days of 1 on 1, just me and him, so now 6 years later, he still won't have daughter or man just put their hand out to clap ( it's only when he wants a pet from them, that he'll go to them ) so my strong and I mean strong determination and love for this dog is absolutely unbelievable, I never gave up, if I did way back then, then he would have been put down within days, AND NOW........BOY HE LOVES HIS MAMMY, I had a gsd years ago he was 2 when I got him for free, and he was theeeeee best boy, Maxx, he lived with me till he was the ripe old age of 13, had a few strokes, RIP AULD YIN, looking forward to next show, thankyou, Lesley x
So true with the bathroom thing. Mine used to sit or lie down next to the door or hit them so I would let him in 😄 Also they can sense when you're sad or smth's wrong and they'll come to comfort or help you. Extremely intelligent dogs.
Excellent 🎉 it touches on so many great things about GS'S. I have 3 right now. 11 years old 3 years old and 6 months old. I can't get enough love and devotion. They barely shed since I put them on a raw diet. It's been about 6 months now. They are so much healthier, and their fur is as soft as our puppy. We get it from our BUTCHER. Please, try it. ❤❤❤❤❤ 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
When my friend was recovering from back surgery his German Shepherd lay on the couch with him keeping him safe. When his brother came to check on him she started barking and growling even though she had met the brother before. My friend had to reassure her and let her know the brother was okay to come in
I had one for 16 years she was great when she was old had to carry her into the vet when I sat her down she gav me a kiss the vets couldn't belive it i miss her so
Our lab/pit rescue would bring us her kills. Yes, we happily thanked her and got some gloves to move her gift to a better place. After she was busy with something else we deeply buried her gift. She was a wonderful baby!
our female black shepherd was a rescue, she was a year old when I got her, and had a couple serious health conditions, was successful at putting those into the past, she's now 4 years old now and as happy, loving, smart, and protective as any K9 I've ever had, which included Great Danes, Golden Retriever, Boxers and Chows
I have had 5 and they are so loving and intelligent and daft as well l. It’s the way they cock the head as well that makes me love them even more. I miss them all. Skye had to be put to sleep recently due to going into a constant fit sadly. ❤
My German shepherd checks all the boxes that you mentioned in this video. I’m so glad I watched it you made my day. I’m so blessed that my German Shepherd truly loves me as her parents. The only problem I have with her is she won’t walk on a leash. And she’s super strong. She loves just running free and being herself a German Shepherd. I wish I had a big yard where she could just be herself and run free. The only problem I have with her is she’s afraid of other dogs. Because when I first got her and I brought her to the dog park, two dogs knocked her over and ever since then, she’s been frightened of other dogs. So when I take her out, I have to make sure know where the dogs are around so she could play.
Thanks for watching 😊 For her fear of dogs, you could still try introducing her to them, firstly from a distance where she can still see them but doesn’t react to them. Then reduce the distance gradually..
I’m not new to having dogs but I’m new to having a German shepherd. Now that I have two I can say.. with how these breeds are, maybe try a play date with a smaller dog or something similar to the size of your dog so he can build up confidence My girl was attacked her first ever play date and it made her scared.. took 4 months of training and being by her side to gain up confidence to play and be dominant again
@@grahammypoo3994 you have to be careful when you bring German Shepherd’s around small dogs. They are naturally herding dogs. And when they’re around small dogs, they feel that they have to do their job sometimes and they kind of push him a nudge them and they could hurt him because they’re very very strong once they mature. I have a Yorky and a German Shepherd and I always keep an eye on my Yorky because you never know. When we’re outside and we’re walking, she tends to go over to him and I get nervous in case she steps on him accidentally. And I know she wouldn’t mean to hurt him , she’s gentle as could be. Have a nice day.
My Val gal is a GSD x Dutchie. She’s got the size of a full grown GSD (she’s not even 2 yet) and a GSD’s temperament, but the look of HUGE Dutchie. Anyway, she’s like a really big child. She loves me so damn much and takes every chance she can to sit in my lap or press her body against my legs, or she will bring me her teddies and stuffies and play a gentle game of keep away. She’s a special soul❤️
I go to the store and my GSD female goes crazy when i get home and gates when i leave she is glued to my hip. Love NOVA she is the best dog i could have asked for and very protective of me and fanily
I love this video. I have 2 Czech GSD's and owned one back 30 years ago and every thing she says in this video is totally true. Likewise, I myself after trying many dog breeds won't own any other dog breed but the GSD's they are just a perfect fit for me and my lifestyle except for a standard poodle they are great dogs too and make extant watch dogs, but they won't protect you where a GSD will. As far as shedding I bought a Roomba IRobot vacuum cleaner the one that cleans the corners too and in my opinion if you own a GSD you really need one of these things. I run mine every night and don't have any problems with dog hair at all since this thing picks it up but pushing a button one time a night is such hard work lol Great video keep up the good work
I dont have a GSD :( Because I probably wudnt be able to give him/her the time and care it deserves. But if I had the capacity for a dog, it'd 100% be a GSD. Such beautiful souls. And the one gray coloured GSD u showed in this vlog gotta be the most handsome GSD!! ❤
My GSD puppy is 10 weeks old. He doesn’t seem too playful with me or happy when I come back home from work. He stays in his crate with water and AC while I work but I always come home on my lunch from 12 to 12:45 and walk him, feed him, and try to get him to play with me. I work from 7:45 to 4:30 and I always feed and walk him early in the morning before I have to go to work to try and tire him out a little and stretch his legs. He eats 3 times a day and I always keep him some cold water since he drinks quite a bit. Idk he just doesn’t seem to be too playful with me or happy to see me. He listens to commands when he wants too but also tends to just ignore me sometimes. He does fairly good with potty training. I struggle in finding the right way to correct him when he does wrong since he’s so young. I’m his only caregiver and I’m the only one he trains, feeds, and tries to play with him. He doesn’t really cuddle or like petting too much idk why he’s just not a fan of it ig. Idk what to do I’m looking for any help to get my little man happy, playful and positive. All I want is for him to have the best life I can give him. (While he stays in the crate while I work, I do come home for 45 min to take care of him and walk him, he’ll only have to stay in there until he is fully house broken)
It’s great that you’re so committed to him 😊. Try to engage him in play from time to time, and engage him in some mentally stimulating games, puzzle toys and interactive feeders work really well. Patience and time is also needed.

This is true of all the various breeds of dogs we ever had in my 75 years. I’m including the AKC breeds and mongrels. All followed me around the house, into the bathroom, standing between me and strangers, sleeping in my room to the point they would rise and walk to the side of my bed making sure I was okay, then lying back down in their bed. My friends, don’t invest $ in a Shepherd unless you have land and the willingness to train it, and walk that baby daily! I guess this holds true for Yorkies as well, only they don’t need tons of land to roam.😂
Had a GSD when we were growing up my mom would send us in the yard to play and send Duchess out with us believe me no came in that gate she was our babysitter she was amazing
I got my German Shepherd when he was 2 years old someone gave him to me he is very active and if I'm not careful he will knock me down he really needs to be trained but I know that he loves me I can tell by the way he looks at me
You are absolutely right. Except when they are sick, they will be far away from you or jump into your seat. My dog never sleeps on my bed. Is it strange to you?
Is it true it’s better to have 2? I have pretty flexible schedule and play a lot with my baby girl, but would she be happier with another dog similar size? Either another GSD or golden?
I had no idea holding eye contact with a dog was a good thing, especially with a GSD. I always assumed holding eye contact would be taken as a form of intimidation or threat. Can someone share their thoughts on this?
I would like to get a german shepherd one day since they are such remarkable and pretty dogs. I’m just worried though that since they are very confident one might not like me at all if I’m not a strong enough leader, and that would be really tragic.
As I write this, Ajax my GSD, is sitting at my side. He's constantly at my side. When I sleep his head usually starts on my shoulder. He does have some separation anxiety when I have to leave him alone and does celebrate when I get home. Great dog and a great buddy!!!
When you hold a puppy for the first time. give him lots of affection. And then when you put it down. Put it in very slowly. with him touching his hind legs first. This way your connection with him will be made. He will know that you are trustworthy and that you will never let go. It happened with my German Shepherds. And today they are always by my side.
My German Shepard bites me, A LOT, well I couldn't train him so yea it's my fault, also he's not even 1 years old, he's around 10 months old, any suggestion what should I do so he stops being aggressive?
There's only one thing you can do, you start training him, there's no way around it. Aggression could be a sign of pent up energy he wants to get rid of, or he just doesn't know he's being aggressive and might consider it play.
I grew up in West Africa and had A GSD as a protection dog. I use to sleep walk when I was a little a girl. One night I slept walked to the ocean. My GSD followed me and dragged me out of the ocean. I would have drowned if it was not for my GSD Whiskey. He saved my life. I have never had a bond with a human like the bond I had with Whiskey. That was 30 years ago. GSDs are the best breeds in the 🌎!!
If you are looking for a GSD , fall in love with the rear end FIRST before you fall in love with the face ( can't resist ) THIS WILL WEED OUT BAD BREEDERS AND SAVE YOU AND YOUR GSD , PAIN , MONEY , HEART BREAKS ,
I totally agree with you 100% I have a little 5 working line German Shepherd pack in my farm born in Germany brought them to the US and a friend of mine asked me if I could go with him to get his first German Shepherd puppy so a few places where we went I didn't like their dogs and 2 of them asked me if I had experience with GSD and I said yes they asked if I have any and I said yes I have 5 they said are they pure breed and i said yes they are and both breeders asked me the same question are they AKC and i said of course NOT and they said the same mistake oh so yours are not pure breed then and i said of course they are and they said but they are not AKC registered and i told them WELL to be honest and first of all I am not a breeder and second of all I don't need to register my born in Germany shepherds to the AMERICAN KENNEL CLUB is there any benefits ? Anyways my friend found a good breeder in Florida and he got his puppy But please people what this person mentioned before is truth fall in love with the rear end first

You will have no better friend. Take loving care of them.❤
Yes, my boy greets me at the door everyday after work, jumps in his chair and i have to twll him how much i missed him dueing the day while he stares in my eyes.
Oh my god... i have one female GSD and she is the must loving soul i have ever seen. I am in love with her!
Mine will not sleep in my room at all he always goes to the front door or bedroom hallway
My GSD female puppy is almost a year old and she just went into heat and she follows me everywhere. I love my GSD she is my world.
Same here! My gsd girl will be 1 on June 1st and has been in heat for past 2 weeks. She's even more lovey-dovey right now, and that's fine with me! Love having an 85 lb. Lap dog!
I just got my baby Ami, literally so so in love with her can’t wait to share my life with her 😢
Congrats! You have a wonderful bond ahead of you. My girl was a foster fail. Before she arrived I was sadly convinced she'd bond to my husband rather than me, as she was his friend's puppy so he was more familiar. Instead he brought her home and she beelined straight to my side, and has never left since! ❤️
I know exactly what you mean. So loveable and very protective of me but not mean unless they are defending me and family.
I have 7 of these awesome guys 4 white 3 brown and black
We just took a sweet White German Shepherd in that needed a new home.
She’s seriously the best sweetest dog I’ve ever had. She’ll just flop her head on my chest and just stare at me.
Watched a vid a while back saying how dogs hate it when you hug them. Supposedly makes them feel trapped. My GSD absolutely loved them. He'd lean into them and didnt care how long you'd hold him.
Our loves hugs too.❤
@nahnotsomuch2292 Same with my German Shepherd. He absolutely loved hugging and he liked to hold my hand when I was driving. Lol
Dogs love affection of all kinds including hugs. As long as they have bonded with you
Don’t believe everything you see on RUclips dude
Every single one we had were and are still in our hearts missed every day and gnats just the shepherds ❤
Just got a working line German shepherd a little over a year ago. Love how she always lays next to the bed when I sleep. Always lays under my desk when I work. One of the best connections I have ever had between me and a dog.
Mine too
I’m a bit biased . My best friend. Gone now and I miss him.
They love being given little chores to do for you! Makes them feel important and useful. Always give praise when they do these things. We lost our GSD Rambo Oct '23:due to health related age issues. He was so loyal, so loving, so protective, so smart, so sweet, so funny, and so majestic. We miss our boy and loved him sooo much.❤
All smiles thanks for the video. Champion's birthday is tomorrow. He's gone but it still makes me happy.
They are so loyal. ❤❤❤
You are right to the spot. The dog treats you like his mother. The dog imprints on you so much. I do believe it is a kind of trust to each other.
I had to go,out of town for 3 months recently and when I got back home our German Shepard was so excited and happy to see us he licked me for almost two days lol. They are amazing animals.
My baby does everything in this video ❤ him so much!
My GSD does all of this❤ I love him so much🥰🥰
Absolutely beautiful video, the images and videos are stunning to watch, your voice is so soft, I smiled all the way through, im in Scotland, UK, I have an 8yr old male called Rocco, I bought him from a site we have here and found out that I was gonna be his 3rd mummy and he was only 16 months old, BOY was he a problem, fantastic when I we got him, then it started the day we got home, no children ( but 1 teenager ) and hubby, he growled, snapped, bit to the point of bleeding.....but not to me after a few days of 1 on 1, just me and him, so now 6 years later, he still won't have daughter or man just put their hand out to clap ( it's only when he wants a pet from them, that he'll go to them ) so my strong and I mean strong determination and love for this dog is absolutely unbelievable, I never gave up, if I did way back then, then he would have been put down within days, AND NOW........BOY HE LOVES HIS MAMMY, I had a gsd years ago he was 2 when I got him for free, and he was theeeeee best boy, Maxx, he lived with me till he was the ripe old age of 13, had a few strokes, RIP AULD YIN, looking forward to next show, thankyou, Lesley x
Thank you for your kind words!😊
And say hi to Rocco for me!
Great video very true all I have 2 awesome GSD's
Thank you! 😊
11 years old
3 years old
and 6 months old.
My friend had to reassure her and let her know the brother was okay to come in
I had one for 16 years she was great when she was old had to carry her into the vet when I sat her down she gav me a kiss the vets couldn't belive it i miss her so
My GSD brought me a ball as a gift once…upon closer inspection it was a rabbit’s head, he really loved me and I loved him even more!
Our lab/pit rescue would bring us her kills. Yes, we happily thanked her and got some gloves to move her gift to a better place. After she was busy with something else we deeply buried her gift. She was a wonderful baby!
Lovely smart German shepherds 😍😘💖💖💖
My GSD ( almost 18 months old ) is all the above. Super Switched on Fella.
My 1st GSD . Very Handsome like his Dad . 👨 😅
I brought my girl home at 11 weeks. Yes to everything. She is training to be a service dog. Had to retire my senior service dog to age and cataracts.
our female black shepherd was a rescue, she was a year old when I got her, and had a couple serious health conditions, was successful at putting those into the past, she's now 4 years old now and as happy, loving, smart, and protective as any K9 I've ever had, which included Great Danes, Golden Retriever, Boxers and Chows
My 2 GSD are the best. They are so adorable, very intelligent, territorial ,protective and my buddy, buddy.
I have had 5 and they are so loving and intelligent and daft as well l. It’s the way they cock the head as well that makes me love them even more. I miss them all. Skye had to be put to sleep recently due to going into a constant fit sadly. ❤
My sympathies on beautiful Skye who's now at peace on the Rainbow Bridge 🌈 ❤
When my German shepherd brings her toys to me it's because she wants me to chase her.
We don't call her the puppet master for nothing 😂
😂😂
Same! She doesn’t fetch. She plays keep away. And therefore I don’t think she’ll ever bring me gifts 😅
My shepard does this too , she will let me throw it once and then want me to chase her lol
This video made me cry 😢
All are relatable since I have a GSD name Rio he going to be 1 year old next month sure they grow so fast 😍
Thanks for watching 😊
For her fear of dogs, you could still try introducing her to them, firstly from a distance where she can still see them but doesn’t react to them. Then reduce the distance gradually..
I’m not new to having dogs but I’m new to having a German shepherd. Now that I have two I can say.. with how these breeds are, maybe try a play date with a smaller dog or something similar to the size of your dog so he can build up confidence
My girl was attacked her first ever play date and it made her scared.. took 4 months of training and being by her side to gain up confidence to play and be dominant again
Whatever you told in this video,my doberman does these.thank you.
You are so right. I have had both and they interact in a very similar manner.
When she leans on you..lean on her a bit. That feels in sync for her.
I go to the store and my GSD female goes crazy when i get home and gates when i leave she is glued to my hip. Love NOVA she is the best dog i could have asked for and very protective of me and fanily
Deadly behind their lovely look...
I love them so much best dogs ever.
true words had german shepherd when i was child hood years .
I run mine every night and don't have any problems with dog hair at all since this thing picks it up but pushing a button one time a night is such hard work lol Great video keep up the good work
Thank you 😊
I dont have a GSD :( Because I probably wudnt be able to give him/her the time and care it deserves.

Spot on!
My GSD does all of these things. He’s the best!!
Absolutely agree. Great video. My 3 year old sable Sheppard Ozzy Laying three feet from me on the floor staring at me now. ❤️
Say hi for me!😊
This is true of all the various breeds of dogs we ever had in my 75 years.
The best breed ever
My GSD does all of this ❤
Had a GSD when we were growing up my mom would send us in the yard to play and send Duchess out with us believe me no came in that gate she was our babysitter she was amazing
I got my German Shepherd when he was 2 years old someone gave him to me he is very active and if I'm not careful he will knock me down he really needs to be trained but I know that he loves me I can tell by the way he looks at me
I am blessed to have my GSD buddy Rex as... 🙏
Depends on whether you can handle 2 or not. But yeah, she’ll be happy having a companion.
This is so true!
I had no idea holding eye contact with a dog was a good thing, especially with a GSD. I always assumed holding eye contact would be taken as a form of intimidation or threat. Can someone share their thoughts on this?
If its not your dog
If it is a cat or is not your dog.
I have all those signs, but in 100 times the magnitude! my DDR GSD is too attached to me, i got him at 8 weeks, and he just turned 2 years old
Ці розумні очі неймовірні!
I would like to get a german shepherd one day since they are such remarkable and pretty dogs. I’m just worried though that since they are very confident one might not like me at all if I’m not a strong enough leader, and that would be really tragic.
I love how attentive my gsd is with me 🥰🫶🏾
My two non shepherds did most of these items more so with our mixed breed Roxy (part heeler) who seemed to to more of these
My daughter is my GSD❤️ I love her so much but failed to socialize her because she had a sister.
My GSD has imprinted on me big!! My 1st girl did too, but not like this girl! My ❤!!!
My GS should be able to cook. Always watching every move.
😂😂😂
Great video, all truth
🥹😭 I missed my boy (Max)..... I haven't seen him about 2 yrs.
As I write this, Ajax my GSD, is sitting at my side. He's constantly at my side. When I sleep his head usually starts on my shoulder. He does have some separation anxiety when I have to leave him alone and does celebrate when I get home. Great dog and a great buddy!!!
When I was a 6 month old baby I rejected my mother in favour of my father's GSD best Mum you could ever have.
So true
lovely pets
My German Shepard bites me, A LOT, well I couldn't train him so yea it's my fault, also he's not even 1 years old, he's around 10 months old, any suggestion what should I do so he stops being aggressive?
There's only one thing you can do, you start training him, there's no way around it. Aggression could be a sign of pent up energy he wants to get rid of, or he just doesn't know he's being aggressive and might consider it play.
Any tips on how to train him?
Prongcollars and e collars agreat training tools if you know how to use them resposibly
I love mine and she loves me❤
My GSD protects me by sitting in my lap. All 105 pound!!
So the same traits my Pomeranian chihuahua mix has. Gotcha.
Definitely Number 6
Truth!
If you are looking for a GSD , fall in love with the rear end FIRST before you fall in love with the face ( can't resist )
THIS WILL WEED OUT BAD BREEDERS AND SAVE YOU AND YOUR GSD , PAIN , MONEY , HEART BREAKS ,
I totally agree with you 100% I have a little 5 working line German Shepherd pack in my farm born in Germany brought them to the US and a friend of mine asked me if I could go with him to get his first German Shepherd puppy so a few places where we went I didn't like their dogs and 2 of them asked me if I had experience with GSD and I said yes they asked if I have any and I said yes I have 5 they said are they pure breed and i said yes they are and both breeders asked me the same question are they AKC and i said of course NOT and they said the same mistake oh so yours are not pure breed then and i said of course they are and they said but they are not AKC registered and i told them WELL to be honest and first of all I am not a breeder and second of all I don't need to register my born in Germany shepherds to the AMERICAN KENNEL CLUB is there any benefits ?
Anyways my friend found a good breeder in Florida and he got his puppy
But please people what this person mentioned before is truth fall in love with the rear end first
What do you mean

I've had GSDs for 40 years
